Chapter Index

Each attack was pure energy, slicing through the air like lasers, locked straight onto their targets.

The energy beams punched clean through the golden giants, leaving holes the size of basketballs in their bodies.

Wounds like that would have been fatal for any ordinary human.

But these were clones enhanced by bloodline technology; their vitality and healing far surpassed anything normal.

The golden giant hit just stood there barely moving, yet the holes in its body closed up before everyone’s eyes.

That self-repairing ability left everyone at the scene utterly stunned.

“What kind of monsters are these?”

“Why aren’t they dead after taking attacks like that?”

    “This shouldn’t even be possible.”

Cries of disbelief rang out, eyes wide with shock.

No one could believe just how ridiculous the golden giants’ healing really was.

It was almost beyond their understanding, this ability to heal wounds in an instant.

    “Uranus’s attacks aren’t working?”

Marcus shouted in disbelief. From their perspective, a strike from the Heavenly King Uranus meant total destruction—yet these golden giants seemed completely unfazed.

Im realized that just hitting them with a single energy beam wasn’t enough and quickly recalibrated the parameters.

A moment later, each golden giant was targeted by at least three separate beams of pure destructive energy.

The beams wove together in the air, forming a deadly net—every strand pulsing with power enough to destroy anything in their path.

Sensing the danger, the golden giants began to move. Their steps were slow but every movement radiated an overwhelming sense of menace.

Every group of five golden giants gathered together, forming a tight circle.

They looked like they were switching to a defensive formation, hoping teamwork could help them endure the storm about to hit.

As the energy attacks rained down, they coated their bodies in top-tier Armament Haki, standing together to shield one another from the barrage coming from above.

Armament Haki was something they’d mastered in countless battles, a shield that kept them from harm.

    BOOM!

But against the pure onslaught of energy unleashed by the Heavenly King Uranus, all these defenses were useless.

Uranus’s attacks were so powerful they tore straight through space itself—no matter how strong the giants’ Armament Haki, it wasn’t enough.

The energy beams pierced right through that hardened Haki like it was paper.

In a flash, dozens of golden giants turned to ash, vanishing into thin air.

Their bodies, battered by pure energy, crumpled like paper and evaporated in an instant, not even leaving a trace behind.

A grim silence fell over the battlefield. The giants’ formation shattered, their defenses pointless before Uranus’s relentless assault.

Realizing they couldn’t weather the attacks from the skies, the golden giants’ eyes went bloodshot as they exploded into berserk rage.

A golden light blazed from their bodies, muscles swelling as their strength doubled—they’d become living weapons of war.

A single punch from one of them reduced several houses ahead to dust.

Their fists were like cannonballs, flattening any building that got in their way.

With a sudden whip of a leg, the wind howled, shredding entire blocks of houses in its path.

Every kick set off a furious windstorm, tearing everything nearby to pieces.

Even though the attacks from above kept coming, the devastation wrought below by the golden giants was more than even Im could bear.

Im knew that if these giants were allowed to run wild, all of Mary Geoise would be reduced to rubble—and the Celestial Dragons would be doomed.

Those Celestial Dragons were the core of everything—and if something happened to them now, his entire existence would lose meaning.

    “Damn it—who’s behind this?!”

“Just let me find out who you are!”

Im’s anxiety spiked. He had to find a way to deal with these golden giants, and fast.

Whoever could cause this much chaos was definitely one of the New World’s most notorious pirates—maybe even Karl himself.

But he didn’t have time for those kinds of guesses right now.

Im had to hurry. If he waited until after the giants were all wiped out, there’d barely be any Celestial Dragons left in Mary Geoise anyway.

If the Celestial Dragons suffered heavy losses now, the Heavenly King Uranus would be nothing but a useless trophy.

The fighting ramped up—ferocious attacks from the raging giants colliding with Im’s precise strikes created a battle scene that left everyone breathless.

In every instant, houses collapsed and beams of light sliced through the sky. The scale and brutality went far beyond what anyone had imagined.

“Looks like I was right. That bastard Im actually got Heavenly King Uranus working again.”

“If I hadn’t come this time, you really would’ve kept everyone in the dark, wouldn’t you?”

Karl’s voice rang out, tinged with a touch of surprise. His gaze stayed locked on the battle, where the energy pillars fell like divine judgment from the heavens.

Karl hadn’t been shocked that the World Government managed to repair the Heavenly King—what surprised him was how quickly it happened.

And the World Government hadn’t slowed down at all when it came to gathering materials.

That damn Im—he really was always ready for Karl.

“Father, is that the power of the Heavenly King Uranus?”

Ye Linlong, only twelve, heard Karl’s words and rushed over with wide-eyed excitement.

His eyes shone with curiosity and longing—he’d always dreamed of seeing the legendary Heavenly King Uranus for himself.

The others crowded in too, all ears. They’d heard tales about Uranus before, but nothing compared to seeing its power up close.

This was the Heavenly King! An ancient weapon out of legend, said to possess the power to destroy the world itself.

And even from this far off, they could feel it.

There was real danger in every one of those pure energy blasts.

Every strike that landed rocked the ground and sent shockwaves crashing through the air—it felt like even the sky and earth trembled.

“Yeah, that’s the might of the Heavenly King.”

“Without the strength of an Admiral, charging in is a one-way trip to death.”

With that, Karl swept his eyes across Ye Linlong and the others. “As for you lot—don’t worry. With your current strength, you’re not even worth the energy it’d take for Uranus to notice you.”

    “Uh—!”

“Well, sure, but give us a break. We’re still kids! Hahaha.”

Ye Linlong knew Karl was poking fun at them.

Ever since they’d awakened their hidden powers, training had fallen by the wayside.

They’d grown pretty lax—unlike Ye Linqin and the first crew, who had driven themselves through constant battles.

Back then, with Karl’s crew still growing, fighting was a daily affair.

That older group had been forged in the fires of war.

The current generation, by comparison, had a much easier life. The seas were already carved up and peaceful.

No need to fight tooth and nail over territory anymore, so naturally, their guard had slipped.
