Chapter Index

Yang Bo had never been inside Iron Bull’s cave before. Sneaking in now, he found it was surprisingly spacious, about a hundred meters deep. Iron Bull was currently being cornered by a Mutant wearing a green Biological Mecha. The Mecha was only about five or six meters tall.

Despite Iron Bull’s horn releasing a series of energy beams, the Biological Mecha wasn’t affected in the slightest. In fact, the Mutant wielded a large bone hammer that radiated an eerie black glow! “That’s some good stuff!” Yang Bo now recognized anything that glowed as valuable, whether it was Energy Metal or an Energy Stone.

Each time Iron Bull charged, the Biological Mecha user would pick up the hammer and smash Iron Bull, causing him to stagger back.

The bone hammer was about five meters long, with a diameter of around one meter, resembling a round rattle drum. However, the top was slightly indented, suggesting it was crafted from the femur of a large beast.

With each strike, the bone hammer emitted a faint black glow. Iron Bull, hit by the black energy, seemed momentarily dazed. After retreating a couple of steps and shaking his head to clear it, he resumed his energy attacks, and then charged again.

“This guy’s Mecha doesn’t seem to be made of metal, so Iron Bull’s metal nullification abilities don’t work on it.” Yang Bo wasn’t familiar with Biological Mechas. He only knew they were cultivated somehow, but didn’t know the specifics of how. He retreated back to the cave entrance, summoned his Mecha, and reverted it to its previous third-generation form.

Yang Bo had already memorized the layout and didn’t expose himself. With a sudden push of the control stick, his Mecha carved an arc through the air. Both hands gripping the Energy Weapon, it resembled cavalry in battle. There was no need to swing; he only needed to let the speed of the Mecha carry the saber to tear through the enemy.

The sudden appearance of Yang Bo’s Mecha startled the Mutant in the green Biological Mecha. There were at least a hundred people from his tribe outside, so how did this unfamiliar Mecha get in?

The green Biological Mecha dodged Yang Bo’s Mecha’s attack in a flash, only to be rammed back several steps by Iron Bull’s horn the next second.

After charging past, Yang Bo’s unfamiliar Mecha kicked off the distant stone wall, spun mid-air, and activated its Jetpack. The entire Mecha shot forward like a bullet.

With a thunderous crash, the green Biological Mecha, still reeling from Iron Bull’s charge, was struck again by Yang Bo’s Mecha and slammed into the stone wall, embedding deeply within.

The energy burst from the two Mechas produced brilliant lights and deafening sounds, making the entire cave seem as if it was on the verge of collapse.

Inside the green Mecha, the Mutant spat a mouthful of blood. Gazing at the faint glow from his Energy Suit, he looked confused. It’s the same confusion as King Blackblade had! This…a suit forged from Energy Metal? Is this a new Alliance model? But it doesn’t look like it!

In the next moment, Iron Bull charged again, and his massive horn pierced right through the green Mecha.

    Gravity Mastery +32!

Yang Bo nearly jumped in joy the next second. Gravity Domain—one of the most powerful superpowers! Even in the human world, this ability was incredibly rare.

“Iron Bull,” Yang Bo shouted, ignoring the alarms from his damaged Mecha. Seeing Iron Bull cautiously eyeing him, Yang Bo quickly called out.

Upon hearing Yang Bo’s voice, Iron Bull whipped his head around and waved his arms as if ecstatic.

Yang Bo tentatively opened his Mecha’s cockpit and saw Iron Bull looking up at him with small eyes. Testing the waters, Yang Bo jumped down, reassured by Iron Bull’s calm gaze.

“Iron Bull!” Yang Bo called again as he approached slowly.

He slowly placed his hand on Iron Bull’s silver skin, which felt warm. The texture was smooth and not cold like metal. Iron Bull carefully brought his head close to Yang Bo.

Yang Bo patted the massive Iron Bull affectionately. This creature was huge, its whole body gleaming a golden hue. Iron Bull, however, seemed somewhat reserved, its small eyes tracking Yang Bo’s every move.

After storing away his Mecha, Yang Bo turned to inspect the Mutant Iron Bull had killed.

When Yang Bo picked up the massive bone hammer, he expected it to be heavy. But to his surprise, it was incredibly light to lift. After swinging it a few times, he realized the weight was influenced by Gravity Mastery. The hammer, being a gravity-based weapon, felt light when swung but could amplify gravity upon impact, increasing up to a hundredfold.

“This is incredible stuff!” Yang Bo was practically drooling. What a treasure!

“No wonder Iron Bull was so dazed after being hit!” Yang Bo wasn’t sure exactly how much power he could unleash with his Gravity Mastery while wielding the hammer.

He then focused on the Mutant’s Biological Mecha, first removing its helmet. Inside, everything was sticky, and the helmet had tentacles connecting with the Mutant’s head.

These tentacles seemed to burrow into the Mutant’s skin or brain. Yang Bo fought back his nausea. He didn’t understand what he was seeing.

“Disgusting!” Unable to keep looking, Yang Bo realized that Biological Mechas were entirely different from human-made ones. It was more of a parasitic organism than a machine.

These creatures had no memories of their own, controlled solely by their Mutant hosts, who used these tentacles to operate the parasitic entities on their bodies.

“The development of Biological Mechas is quite unique. Who created these and how are they cultivated?” Yang Bo stared at the Mecha, utterly perplexed.

There must be some secret to this. Mutants, with their high content of beast genes, probably didn’t have the intelligence to pull this off themselves.

Inside the Mecha was a two-meter-tall Mutant. The Mutant wore armor, but it appeared to be leather. The entire inside of the Mecha was filled with a sticky fluid. Whether it was originally like that or because the creature had been killed was unclear.

“Iron Bull?” Yang Bo looked at the creature, frustrated that it couldn’t speak and thus couldn’t communicate.

Iron Bull glared at the dead Mutant and, seemingly still upset, stomped on the body a couple more times.

Seeing the Mutant’s slimy condition, Yang Bo discarded any thought of taking biological samples.

Glancing down at the large bone hammer, Yang Bo realized it would be a shame to leave it behind. But what was he supposed to do with it? Bring it back? “It’s time to train my abilities and level up my skills.”

“I need to get familiar with Sound Wave, Electric Power, Metal, Gravity, and even Light.” Yang Bo had powerful abilities, but nowhere to practice them. Just like having the strength of a Boxer still required training.
