Chapter Index

Iron Bull was stunned when he saw the Energy Core Yang Bo took out. His small eyes looked much bigger.

The container isolated energy fluctuations. Otherwise, the energy stone would have some radiation, affecting nearby devices. Iron Bull couldn’t understand why it didn’t seem that special before but now it smelled so appealing.

Why does it smell so good?

Drool flowed continuously as Iron Bull stared at Yang Bo, just like the dog Yang Bo used to raise back at home, watching people eat, staring at the bone on their chopsticks while drooling on the floor without moving his head.

“Come here, Iron Bull!” Yang Bo picked up an Energy Core and placed it near Iron Bull’s mouth, speaking to him.

Iron Bull seemed to understand Yang Bo’s words and immediately swallowed the Energy Core in one gulp.

Then Iron Bull’s small tail started wagging wildly. His ears, which were like rhino ears, kept flapping, and his entire body bounced a few times, looking very excited.

Yang Bo felt a little uneasy. He didn’t know if giving the Energy Core to Iron Bull would have any negative consequences.

After swallowing it, Iron Bull’s small eyes looked at Yang Bo, then back to the container on the ground, repeating this several times, as if saying, “Hurry, give me more quickly!” His drool was longer than anyone else’s.

Seeing Iron Bull’s drool, Yang Bo felt it was a bit wasteful, so he went into the cave. There was still water where Iron Bull lived, so he cleaned the container that held the energy pillars, then used his glowing hands to dry it before returning to Iron Bull.

Iron Bull suspiciously looked at Yang Bo, but the drool kept flowing. Yang Bo quickly filled the container, sealed it, and took out another energy stone.

The liquid inside the container had a gelatinous texture and didn’t stick to the container or the energy stone.

Iron Bull ate another bite and swallowed it. His small eyes continued to gaze at Yang Bo, his little ears wagging happily as if saying, “Give me more, give me more, Iron Bull can eat more!”

All 12 energy pillars were swallowed by Iron Bull. Yang Bo didn’t plan on letting him eat so many, but this guy stared at the container like the dog from his hometown used to stare at food.

“Iron Bull, it’s not my fault. If something happens to you, I’ll just have to turn in your body. Maybe I’ll even gain a skill from you.” Yang Bo muttered to himself. After all, it was Iron Bull who insisted, not that he intended to harm him.

Unexpectedly, Iron Bull showed no signs of any issues. Instead, his skin seemed to shine more brightly.

Of course, Yang Bo wasn’t without his own rewards. He filled the container with Iron Bull’s drool and stored it in the mech’s storage box.

Yang Bo looked at the bone hammer, then at the energy weapon in the mech’s hand, and had an idea.

“This bone hammer now controls its own weight and is counted as my own original weapon. I wonder if it can be stored along with the mech in the mech space?” This bone hammer was like a divine tool, and perfect for sneak attacks. Imagine a mech using this!

The mech’s anti-gravity power would increase a hundredfold in an instant. What would that be like? It could probably punch a hole through a warship.

“Hehe!” Yang Bo tested it right away, and to his surprise, the mech actually stored the bone hammer in its space.

Feeling satisfied, Yang Bo remembered the mech at Base 16, so he called out to Iron Bull before heading off himself.

Yang Bo felt a bit frustrated, especially because using Invisibility while traveling didn’t make him any faster.

After more than an hour, Yang Bo was exhausted by the time he arrived at Base 16. He had hurried so much. As soon as he entered, he heard loud rumbling sounds. Glancing at the scene, he saw seven or eight biological mechs smashing a massive black object against the silver gate. The door was already deformed.

“These Mutants aren’t too bright, are they? But it makes sense. This is the most secure gate in the base; even with advanced technology, it’s hard to get through. Let alone these Mutants who lack much high-tech equipment!” Yang Bo felt he understood a bit better now.

“Old Third Huang, it’s all your fault! If Black Blade were here, this door would already be open. Why did you go mess with someone else’s business?” One of the Mutants complained on-site.

The Tiger-Faced King retorted, “What are you saying? It’s as if I really killed that unlucky guy. He was already dying! Ask any of his subordinates; they were attacked by some unknown mech.”

The surrounding Mutants burst into laughter. Who would believe that any mech would dare to venture into the Underground World? That was practically suicidal.

“I’m serious! Why won’t you believe me when I tell the truth?” The Tiger-Faced King looked frustrated.

“Old Third Huang, next time your lies should at least be believable. Do we not know what you’re like? It looks like we all need to be wary of you the most in the future.”

“As if you all are so innocent. Aren’t you all sneaky and underhanded behind the scenes?” The Mutants continued their noisy argument. After watching for a bit, Yang Bo hurriedly left.

“Looks like these guys will eventually figure out how to open the door with brute force.” After observing for a while, Yang Bo realized their methods were quite effective, even if they couldn’t crack the code. They’d just kick it down instead. The biological mechs had impressive strength after all.

What Yang Bo didn’t know was that after he activated his mech, all the major mech company alert systems started ringing. According to the mech alert, these mechs were supposed to be in standby mode, stored away. How had they been activated?

Because the mechs were stored at military facilities, the mech companies only knew their mechs had been forcefully activated, with access permissions altered. They couldn’t verify any details.

The major mech companies quickly reported this to the military, but the military didn’t respond immediately. They were too busy dealing with their own internal chaos. On one hand, Green Demon Planet had been attacked by Pirates, and on the other, they had just discovered members of the Red Earl extremist organization aboard their strongest warships. For the military, this was a slap in the face—a loud, resounding slap.
