Chapter 121: The Subtle Use of the Mini Hydrogen Bomb
by xennovelSurprisingly, after Iron Bull launched his attack, this metal lump stopped showing any energy fluctuations.
“That’s strange.” Yang Bo summoned his mech and carefully scanned it again—no energy detected. He moved closer to examine the ostrich egg-sized metal lump. Strange lines adorned its surface, but now it was covered in countless cracks.
At that moment, Iron Bull walked over and stomped on it. Yang Bo didn’t stop him.
“Oh!” As Iron Bull lifted his foot, Yang Bo discovered the outer shell had shattered, revealing a round, reddish stone about the size of a chicken egg.
“The serpent was using this outer layer to draw the energy from the inside.” Yang Bo nodded, finally understanding.
Of course, Yang Bo didn’t think of it as advanced technology. After all, much high-tech gear mimics animals, like radar and such.
Even advanced tech can break, right?
The red stone didn’t give off much of a feeling, but the inside seemed to contain something like flowing liquid.
“Do you want it?” Yang Bo pointed at the stone while looking at Iron Bull.
Iron Bull shook his head and then nudged the red stone towards Yang Bo.
Yang Bo knew this stone wasn’t simple. After all, the energy wave it emitted earlier was quite strong.
Just then, the rest of Iron Bull’s group came over, big and small, black and gray, all staring wide-eyed at the scattered mecha parts on the ground.
Iron Bull called out, and the other rhinos rushed over, starting to devour the scattered mecha metal.
“Haha.” Yang Bo couldn’t help but laugh every time he watched the rhinos chewing up metal.
In less than an hour, the mecha parts were gone, completely devoured by the herd of rhinos.
Yang Bo cautiously touched the gemstone on the ground. He didn’t feel much from it. Glancing at the surrounding fragments, he noticed that they were metal—and the same type, with fire attributes.
“This should be something good.” Yang Bo stored everything in the storage compartment on his mech, including the red stone.
“I really lack knowledge.” Yang Bo knew this stone was valuable, but his lack of experience left him at a loss.
Suddenly, Yang Bo smacked his head. “The serpent’s teeth should have been good stuff, but whatever—I have my energy weapon. Individual combat power is nothing compared to a mech.”
“This place is great. First, I’ll figure out the surroundings, then start training.”
Looking at the adorable baby rhinos, Yang Bo noticed they were larger than Earth’s rhinos but had similar appearances. The little ones perked up their ears, their small eyes fixed on Yang Bo.
Yang Bo petted one of the little guys, finding its coat prickly and even hairy.
The other rhinos began to wander off. An idea struck Yang Bo as he examined one rhino’s hair. He plucked a strand.
In an instant, Iron Bull shuddered in fear, dropping low to the ground. Yang Bo had transformed into a smaller version of a rhino!
Even Iron Bull’s closest companion was startled, his eyes bulging as he lay flat, probably screaming inside—’My heavens!’
Yang Bo was confused. “Didn’t I already test out beef on Pado Planet?”
“Could that shady merchant have sold me fake beef?” Yang Bo now felt quite odd, especially seeing things from a different perspective—with a horn in the middle of his eyes.
Iron Bull and his companions were all dumbfounded. Suddenly, Iron Bull got up, and before he could misunderstand, Yang Bo quickly reverted to his human form.
When Yang Bo transformed into a rhino again, this time he turned to inspect his body. He noticed his appearance differed from Iron Bull’s. His energy suit had transformed with him, and although his size wasn’t large—about 1.8 meters tall and nearly 3 meters long—his body seemed to be covered in a layer of armor rather than smooth skin.
Walking felt awkward at first, but after a few steps, Yang Bo got used to it and couldn’t help but let out a cry.
“Roar!” Yang Bo roared experimentally, but the next second, he reverted to his human form.
“What the… My bio summon ability works like this?” Yang Bo realized his earlier roar had caused the other rhinos to feel resistance, and Iron Bull’s companion seemed somewhat angry.
Yang Bo quickly understood that his bio summon skill could work in this way.
“So, if I transform into a certain beast, I can command its kind?” Yang Bo speculated.
Iron Bull bumped his companion with his head and then spat out an Energy Core.
Iron Bull’s companion swallowed it in one gulp, then looked at Yang Bo with no hostility.
Yang Bo felt at a loss, realizing that he had indeed upset Iron Bull’s friend earlier.
“This bio summon ability is really strong. If I can find those invisible rats, I can gather them all up in one go.”
“Same with electric eels. I can summon the other electric eels and drop a bomb on them.”
“Too bad I can’t use this ability in the game and can only wield it in reality.”
After thinking for a while, Yang Bo checked his skills. Several had seen significant progress.
Mecha Piloting: Master (1102/10000)
Mecha Repair: Master (1098/10000)
Electric Power Control: Master (2485/10000) The large increases in Mecha Piloting and Mecha Repair were mainly due to the Mutants, while Electric Power Control was something Yang Bo trained himself, with help from the Tiger-Faced King.
With these three skills now at the master level, Yang Bo decided to upgrade Electric Power Control to the grandmaster level. He could take apart those micro hydrogen bombs and throw them into the Underground River.
He also gained another skill: Fire Energy Control: Master (8450/10000).
And one more: Gravity Mastery: Intermediate (32/100).
Yang Bo was curious about this ability’s potential. He could at least use it to wield the bone hammer. It was just a little odd-looking—he’d prefer if its appearance could change.
“The Charging Skill increases physique. I wonder if Iron Bull knows where the fork-horned bulls are?” Yang Bo glanced at a few mecha batteries he had left, used to recharge himself. He had named the three-horned bulls for their trident-like horns.
Yang Bo grabbed a stick and began drawing on the ground, then showed it to Iron Bull. After one glance, Iron Bull nodded.
Overjoyed, Yang Bo drew a diagram of the human base outpost. Iron Bull and his companion both nodded.
Yang Bo pointed in one direction and found that Iron Bull knew the location of Base 16, while his companion indicated another direction.
With a basic sense of direction, Yang Bo prepared to hit the other base for some energy pillars.
He had Iron Bull wait here while he piloted his mech into the underground world.
Yang Bo wasn’t sure why the Mutants tracking him hadn’t shown up yet. Was it because this was Iron Bull’s tribe’s territory? Yang Bo knew his mech might get noticed, but it didn’t matter. After all, he could stash it away and go invisible whenever needed.
He arrived at an underground lake, where traces of electric eels were present. He disassembled a mini hydrogen bomb, scattered its fragments into the lake, and left.
He then found another underground river inhabited by electric eels, put away his mech, and began exploring the Underground River.
Yang Bo discovered that the Mutant tribes also needed water. Black Blade’s and the Tiger-Faced King’s tribes both lived near water sources.
For training, he definitely needed to fight the Mutants. Mutants frequently fought each other between their tribes in the underground world, as well as against wild beasts.
“First, find some easy targets to practice on.”
“Second, if I can’t win, I’ll escape in my mech.” Yang Bo had already considered this. After all, with a mech and invisibility, he was good to go.

While Yang Bo wandered the underground world searching for easy targets, somewhere on Green Demon Planet, an argument raged between a One-Eye and a bald man.
“One-Eye, you [expletive]!” The bald man, clad in an energy suit, cursed at One-Eye.
One-Eye and the bald man were captains, each commanding a Seahawk-class pirate warship. Behind them stood many pirates, all wearing various kinds of energy suits.
This place was a blend of modern and old. Though there were advanced machines, there were also stone walls.
One-Eye wasn’t backing down. “You bald idiot! How was I supposed to know a Jin Gang-class flagship would suddenly appear? And what’s the deal with the Planetary Fleet’s hidden Jin Gang-class warship?”
Both men turned to a nearby individual who looked like a human. Hearing this, he glanced at them. “We’re puzzled too. You don’t think our Grey Ash Organization would supply you with false intelligence, do you?”
