Chapter Index

“I surrender!” The Mutant finally took two steps back then raised his hands in submission. He realized the other side was only blocking him.

Yang Bo inwardly felt proud but still asked, “When is your Tribe attending the Exchange Gathering? Got any good stuff?”

The Mutant on the other side had already begun removing his Energy Suit when he suddenly heard the question and replied gloomily, “We’re going at about the same time as you, in ten days. As for treasures… our Tribe has plenty.”

“Take your friend and get out of here. Next time, send someone stronger.” Yang Bo then pointed with his Energy Weapon at the guy who had been knocked out.

The Mutant was still somewhat in disbelief but after seeing Yang Bo wasn’t joking, he quickly carried his brother and ran off.

As he ran, he cursed his Captain for putting him in a tough spot. Why would you send me to patrol when such a strong guy is around here? No, I need to make sure someone else gets stuck with this next time.

Yang Bo didn’t expect to fight ten or a hundred people; that wasn’t realistic. What mattered was that he could put up a decent fight against these Mutants.

“Too bad most of these Mutants only have strength attributes. Very few have Superpowers.” Yang Bo lamented that most Mutants only enhanced their physical power, with very few possessing the ability to control elements.

“The neighboring Tribe’s patrol should be arriving soon. Hopefully, they’ll give me a good surprise.” Yang Bo’s figure flickered as he left, heading to stir up trouble in the neighboring territory again.

The color of his Energy Suit changed again, mimicking that of the guy he fought just now, making him look like someone from the neighboring land.

Yang Bo arrived at the neighboring territory and quickly spotted the patrol. Normally there were at most two or three, but this time there were five of them.

Yang Bo shrank his neck a little. How was he supposed to fight five people? Three was already pushing it.

“Screw it. Worst case, I’ll run or use my Superpowers.” Yang Bo hadn’t shown his Light, Electricity, or Fire abilities when dealing with these patrolling Mutants.

“Robbery!” Yang Bo jumped out. The five Mutants across from him saw Yang Bo and thought he was just as arrogant as the rumors said.

The five Mutants wielded Energy Weapons that faintly glowed. With a wave of their hands, they all rushed at Yang Bo.

    Charge!

Yang Bo sprang forward with a Charge, the force of the ability sending one of them flying. The Mutant hit the ground dazed, his Energy Suit’s glow extinguished.

The other four Mutants brandished their Energy Weapons. Yang Bo began dodging and blocking, truly having eyes in all directions and using the sound of their breathing to lock onto their positions.

In his mind, he simulated a small map, clearly seeing each person’s movements. If one came up behind him, he’d quickly change his position.

Explosions echoed from the Underground World, along with dazzling flashes of energy. The sounds were incredibly loud and dense.

Yang Bo pushed his abilities to the limit—Sound Wave, Dynamic Vision, and more—while his Energy Weapon cut through the air at strange angles, fending off the four Mutants and their Energy Weapons.

Three minutes passed. Yang Bo stopped for a moment and unleashed another Charge, but this time the enemy was prepared. They dodged, and Yang Bo vanished into a nearby Underground Passage.

    “Don’t run!”

“Chase him! That idiot’s escaping!” The four Mutants were stunned. Just a moment ago, he was so arrogant, and now he was fleeing? This was a disgrace to the Mutants. “After him!”

Yang Bo bolted back to Iron Bull’s territory, where he had hollowed out a Cave to store all the Batteries. These Nuclear Power Cells could theoretically last 20 to 30 years or even longer.

Yang Bo had been living here for over ten days and had gotten quite familiar with the local rhinos. They no longer seemed surprised to see him. Iron Bull and his brother took turns sleeping, their bodies showing gradual color changes.

Originally, Yang Bo planned to raid another Alliance Outpost, but seeing this, he decided to wait a bit.

“Exciting.” Being surrounded by four people had pushed Yang Bo to his limit. His adrenaline was probably maxed out. Dodging and blocking kept him alive, though his Energy Suit had taken a couple of hits. Luckily, it was high quality and could automatically repair itself.

Yang Bo felt that if he had used his Superpowers—like Lightning, Fire, or others—it would have been easy to wipe out the group of Mutants.

While escaping, Yang Bo had used his Gravity skill, which was why he was able to run so fast.

Yang Bo treated Iron Bull’s territory as his hideaway. There were no outsiders or strange beasts here.

Iron Bull’s herd was naturally strong, and his brother could fly. They were flying rhinos, and Iron Bull’s horn, with its golden pattern, could pierce through nearly any defense. If you got hit by it, you were done for.

After charging up, Yang Bo felt extremely confident. This was one of his advantages—

Being able to quickly restore his strength through charging.

Yang Bo’s mind stirred, and he floated up. In the next second, he shot through the air like a cannon, appearing two kilometers away in no time.

Boom! “That was about 900 meters per second!” Yang Bo mentally counted a few seconds before hearing the loud boom, calculating his speed.

This was an ability Yang Bo had gained through his mastery of the Gravity Domain. It allowed him to fly and move at high speed.

“This Gravity Mastery is practically a divine tool. Too bad my body can’t handle much more right now.”

“Once my physical strength meets a certain standard, even a Mech’s laser cannon auto-target system won’t be able to lock onto me.”

Yang Bo didn’t dare fly at super speed for long—at most, one or two kilometers. The reason was that it consumed a lot of energy, and his body couldn’t handle it yet. Plus, Yang Bo thought that in this age of technology, depending on physical strength alone didn’t make you a hero. You still needed Mechs.

Of course, both equipment and personal strength were important.

Yang Bo hadn’t been focusing on earning new skills lately. Instead, he spent most of his time mastering his current abilities.

Yang Bo also needed to check if any of the materials from his last Mini Hydrogen Bomb had been useful. If he could get someone else to help him grind skills, all the better.

“If that’s the case, I could toss some radioactive stuff into a beast’s den and just wait. After someone kills them, I could rake in the skills.” Yang Bo thought this idea was a bit unrealistic. If it worked that easily, he’d just toss radioactive things everywhere while staying invisible.

Yang Bo also didn’t dare fly too high. He was afraid of being detected by warships in Space. Humans couldn’t even scan through this layer of clouds. “It’s time to go get my Bone Hammer back.” Yang Bo was ready to retrieve his weapon. It had been too long.
