Chapter Index

Yang Bo returned to Iron Bull and took out the Energy Core. Iron Bull would swallow it and store it in his belly. Yang Bo wasn’t worried. This place would be his base from now on, so building a good relationship with Iron Bull was necessary.

Yang Bo still couldn’t figure out why these mutants needed so many things. Were they for their tribe?

Yang Bo also figured out why the mech couldn’t turn invisible. It wasn’t the mech’s battery per se. The energy output frequency of the battery was fine.

However, the issue was with the battery itself. The battery individually didn’t generate an energy frequency.

Yang Bo planned to see if he could visit the modification company later. Maybe there was a solution to retrofit the battery or perhaps find a Homogeneous Energy Stone to replace it.  The mech and the battery are integrated, so the lack of invisibility was caused by the battery.

Yang Bo was also thinking that once his energy reserves reached a certain level, he could act as the energy supply himself.

As for the mech’s storage facility being able to store items and transport in and out of space, Yang Bo guessed that the mech’s energy metal forms an energy field. Similar to how spaceships can perform space jumps while carrying passengers and cargo.

After all, the mech’s battery, central AI system, and other equipment were all stored inside.

Should I study this more when I get back? As for invisibility, does it not have an energy field effect?  “Space Theory might be beyond me. Should I just kidnap a top student?” Yang Bo thought to himself.

“All the major companies and organizations of the Alliance seem to have a stake on this planet. Four Seas Gene Serum Company, don’t let me down.” Yang Bo was filled with anticipation.

Yang Bo had long known about the bartering conference. Along the way, he saw many mutant leaders bringing their guards, carrying large and small bundles. Some even brought strange beasts.

Yang Bo was now disguised as a mutant. He’d reshaped his energy suit with Metal Superpower and turned his energy weapon into a machete.

This mutant form, Yang Bo named Firehead. This was his first mutant identity, skilled in fire control, his first alias.

During these past few days, Yang Bo learned how to fly. More accurately, he transformed into a bird and could now fly. He could turn into a bird before, but flying required practice.

Yang Bo’s method of learning to fly was simple and straightforward. He found a high spot, transformed into a bird, then jumped off, flapping his wings in the wind. If he failed, he would turn back into a human before hitting the ground and use Gravity Mastery to return to the mountain and try again.

It was just like learning to ride a bicycle downhill—he quickly mastered it.

Yang Bo also captured a strange beast. He found it in Iron Bull’s territory—a giant leech that could suck blood. Even Iron Bull’s tough skin couldn’t stop it from feeding.

These creatures weren’t common in Iron Bull’s territory. Yang Bo found the largest one. These crawlers didn’t grant any special skills. This one looked like a small snake, about the size of a fist when curled up, and green in color.

Yang Bo placed it in a glass container used for storing energy pillars.

As it turned out, many mutant tribes used glass containers and metal containers that they had taken from various human bases to carry things. There were plenty of glass and metal products.

There were people everywhere, both individuals and groups, all walking on the same path. Everyone kept to themselves, maintaining a respectful distance.

After three days of walking, Yang Bo estimated that they had covered more than 3,000 kilometers. Mutants had incredible physiques, and those coming to the bartering conference were all strong and fast-moving in the underground world.

When Yang Bo arrived, he saw it was actually a pit. At the bottom of the pit were rows of massive trees, resembling banyan trees. From above, all you could see were trees, but below, it was all neatly arranged stones.

A lot of stone houses of various sizes were built here, with each one resembling a stall for a mutant tribe.

Yang Bo even saw many humans there. Their clothing was different. The humans wore energy suits and protective gear, which looked distinctly different from the mutants.

These humans even had stalls, selling energy suits, serums, and even daily necessities like toiletries and alcohol.

“Tsk tsk.” Many mutant tribes directly took out personal supplies from their escape pods to barter. Yang Bo remembered that when his escape pod landed, mutants had taken it away too.

Yang Bo looked closely around but didn’t see any guards, which puzzled him. What kind of organization was this Grey Ash Organization, and why were they so fearless?

Yang Bo spotted a familiar face halfway through—Tiger-Faced King. He was with several other tribe leaders as they entered a cave. Yang Bo couldn’t see what was inside.

Yang Bo found an underground entrance. This underground network had multiple pathways. After activating invisibility, he quickly made his way into the cave and hid his belongings.

The cave was over 200 meters long and quite spacious inside. There were several stone chambers. Yang Bo noticed that some people had been captured and detained here. One of them even looked like someone from the warship who had boarded alongside him.  As he ventured deeper into the cave, Yang Bo saw more than a dozen mutant tribe leaders. He found a hidden spot and quietly listened.

He stayed hidden while invisible to avoid being countered by a mutant with superpowers. As Yang Bo listened carefully, the conversation he overheard was shocking.

“Damn it! This time, we’ve got to cause trouble for them.”

“Exactly, we hired the pirates to eliminate the Alliance’s Planetary Fleet, but they ran off mid-mission. I lost a lot of warriors because of it.”

“We’re in the same boat. You, Old Third Huang, still made a profit. My group, who arrived later, ran right into the Alliance’s fighter jets!”

“Yeah, the regions surrounding you, Old Third Huang, paid a heavy price. After they breached the main energy room, the death toll was massive. You made off better than the rest. Tell us what happened inside the base.”

“It seems there was a mech with a pilot inside the main energy room. They took the bombs and energy pillars and disappeared into the underground world. I think it was related to one of those Alliance organizations. Those dogs caused us major losses.” Tiger-Faced King added.

“Yeah, I heard about it too. That advanced mech attracted a lot of tribes before it vanished.”

“We don’t care. The Grey Ash Organization accepted payment.”

“But I heard the pirates were blown up by the Alliance’s Jin Gang-class main battleships. Two of their pirate warship captains are still here.”

“That can’t be. Would the Grey Ash Organization dare provide fake intel?”

“It’s true. It’s said two Jin Gang-class battleships were involved. The pirates are now looking for trouble with the Grey Ash Organization too.”

Yang Bo pieced together what was going on and quickly left. He had left things in that cave, and if anyone took them, it would be a huge problem.

“Damn those dogs!” Yang Bo fumed. His misfortunes had all been orchestrated by this organization?  The Grey Ash Organization had colluded with pirates to attack the Alliance’s fleet? What kind of benefits had the mutants offered? And how much did the Grey Ash Organization stand to gain?  Yang Bo also knew there was a third nation involved, but even the mutant tribe leaders didn’t seem to know who.

And those captured by the mutants were to be sold. These organizations were engaged in human trafficking, an act Yang Bo despised. Even in his previous life, human traffickers were his most hated enemies.

“First, scout the terrain. What do the mutants really want? It’s all about interests. Why go through these organizations when they could deal directly with the Alliance?” Yang Bo had a bold idea.

That was to cut out the middlemen and deal with the Alliance directly.

“Hmm, the slogan should be: Let the mutants handle their own affairs. First, find a way to stir things up, then figure out exactly what the Grey Ash Organization is.”

“These organizations definitely have escape routes here. The first step is finding their escape plan and cutting it off.” Yang Bo thought it was rather fortunate that these mutant tribes were each acting in their own interests.

“It’s possible that some of these mutant tribes are simply branches of larger organizations.” Yang Bo realized things weren’t quite so simple. According to what the female officer had said, the first ones to arrive here belonged to various family organizations from the alliances.

“What? You don’t know who attacked the Biological Mecha manufacturing base either?” Meanwhile, in another modern room, the head of the Grey Ash Organization looked shocked as he stared at the hundreds of mech company employees who had been rescued.
