Chapter 135: Chaos
by xennovel“Let me tell you something. If things go wrong, hide in here immediately.” Yang Bo couldn’t be sure if the Grey Ash Organization’s spaceship was in the Pit but being cautious was best.
“Alright.” Old Third Huang wanted to ask more, but seeing Yang Bo had nothing further to say, he stopped.
“How many people have you prepared?”
“Quite a few, enough manpower. Besides, once things start, this is our Mutants’ planet.” Old Third Huang wasn’t telling the truth.
“Brother, when it comes time to divide the territory, having too many people will be tricky.” Old Third Huang already started thinking about how to divide the territory.
“Don’t worry. I only need 250,000 square kilometers. No cities, no commerce, just the resources above and below ground in that area.” Yang Bo was asking for this territory for Iron Bull.
“Alright, you pick first when the time comes.” Old Third Huang nodded, relieved. A 500-kilometer square area wasn’t big at all.
Old Third Huang returned to his group, explaining the situation, and everyone quickly understood.
The trade exchange began not long after dawn. The Mutant Leader was grumbling as he set up his stall, feeling dissatisfied with the Grey Ash Organization’s lack of promises. Many individual Mutants grew impatient, having wasted too much time since they hadn’t suffered any losses in the recent events.
The Grey Ash Organization’s supervisor appeared alongside delegates from various major organizations and institutions. Many people gathered. After all, the items here would appreciate by at least a hundred times once taken back!
Deep within the Grey Ash Organization’s base, a plain-looking young man wearing an energy suit emerged from a bathroom. He casually closed the door, which automatically locked from the inside, making anyone who came later assume someone was inside. Most people were occupied with the trade exchange anyway.
The young man wasn’t wearing a helmet. A guard glanced at him before losing interest.
The young man reached out and opened a door with an old mechanical lock that made a loud ‘clang’.
This passageway branched off in many directions. The young man headed to a location with a turret, where two other youths in battle suits were chatting inside.
“Bobby, what brings you here?” The two youths looked at the one who had just entered and asked.
“Planning to hit the trade market after work. Do you think they’ll leave us anything good?” Bobby leaned against some equipment, looking at the two as he spoke.
“Damn.”
“Shit.”
“Why are we always this unlucky? Hope those Mutants run into some trouble on the way and it delays them.” The two youths in the turret cursed angrily upon hearing this.
“Yeah, we’ll go together later?” Bobby continued.
“Of course.”
Bobby walked around each turret, inviting everyone to the trade market later. In reality, while leaning back earlier, Yang Bo had used Metal Superpower to distort small parts and fuse them together. A single damaged component could shut down the precision-machined laser cannons.
And it wasn’t just one part Bo had tampered with. Having strolled through all the turret positions, Bobby left the area. The guards were bored, merely glancing at Yang Bo.
He headed to a warehouse where several floors connected by an elevator. First, he sabotaged the elevator, then locked the door from the inside as he exited, ensuring it couldn’t be opened without violence.
“Hey, you’re not supposed to be here.” Yang Bo arrived at the main energy room, where two Mecha-controlling guards spotted him. Seeing he was one of their own, they gestured towards him but shouted harshly.
Yang Bo responded with a universal gesture. The two Mecha-operators grew furious, and one piloted his Mecha, intent on teaching him a lesson.
In the next moment, a Ninth-Generation Mech appeared and charged at them with incredible speed.
Mecha Piloting +8!
Neither Mecha had its weapon systems or even its energy shields activated. The enemy Mecha, trying to intimidate Yang Bo, had its cockpit pierced by Yang Bo’s Mecha’s fist.
The second one was slammed into the wall by the sheer force of the impact. A massive energy weapon, five meters long, pierced through that cockpit in the next second.
Mecha Piloting +8!
Inside the cockpit, the pilot of the second Mecha watched in despair as the strange-looking Mecha slowly shifted to resemble Yang Bo’s. Then, darkness enveloped him.
Yang Bo jumped out of his Mecha and opened the door to the main energy room in less than five seconds. Having pure mechanical systems had its advantages. He dragged both Mechas inside. Concentrating, Yang Bo summoned a massive, pitch-black bone hammer into his Mecha’s hands.
Boom! The giant energy reactor in the center of the room sunk half a meter under the impact.
“Haha! That’s the stuff!” Yang Bo didn’t expect the hammer, boosted by gravity, to be this powerful. When the Mecha swung the bone hammer, he had fully activated the gravity field, pulling downwards from above and below.
Combined with the hammer’s innate gravity boost, the result was enormous force.
Suddenly, a loud alarm echoed through the base. Most of the lights went out, leaving only a few battery-operated emergency lights on.
Boom! Yang Bo slammed the hammer down again before locking the control room doors with Metal Superpower. Without extreme force, they couldn’t be opened.
Yang Bo morphed his Mecha into the form of a Biological Mecha. Storing it away, he knew this ability to summon it out of thin air had to remain a secret.
Ear-piercing alarms blared throughout the base, running on backup power like an emergency fire alarm on Earth.
Yang Bo followed the crowd rushing outside. The main energy system was down, and the backup seemed to be malfunctioning too.
The main energy system was wrecked, and it appeared the backup had failed as well.
Yang Bo reached a hall near the exit but didn’t rush out. Instead, he patiently waited for his chance.
Yang Bo wasn’t sure if the opposition had an escape plan in the base. If they did, the leader would definitely enter. If not, things would be much simpler!
Meanwhile, Old Third Huang and his group, located near the Underground World’s entrance for the trade exchange, heard the Grey Ash Organization base alarm and rushed into the underground passage, abandoning their goods.
The other Mutants also fled in a hurry, while members of the Grey Ash Organization were still in shock, asking if something had gone wrong in the base.
Panic ensued, with everyone frantically running back. No one wanted to face the Mutants.
Old Third Huang and his men nervously watched Alliance humans rush into the base while those inside tried to flee.
Just as Old Third Huang and his group, hiding near the Underground World’s entrance, were confused, a barrage of concentrated laser fire came from the sky. Those Mutants who hadn’t escaped were blown apart.
A silver spaceship descended from the sky with a loud voice commanding, “All Alliance personnel, board the ship! Board the ship!”
“What the ****!” Old Third Huang cursed loudly as he saw the spaceship, diving for cover underground.
“Brothers, be ready. We’ll hit them hard when the time comes.” Those in the know, like Old Third Huang, were drenched in cold sweat. If they hadn’t been forewarned, they’d be finished by now.
