Chapter Index

A drone fighter roared in. Old Third Huang and the others were a bit nervous. Out of the 100 or so Mutant Tribe members who came, more than half went to the Alliance’s institutions or organizations, as well as the Company’s base here. Old Third Huang and the others promised that they didn’t want any of the base’s supplies, just the people.

These Mutant leaders were either second or third generation ones, totally untouched by civilized society. They had no clue how much profit autonomy would bring if it succeeded.

The remaining 50 or so Mutant leaders waited quietly from a distance.

Yang Bo controlled the mecha, grabbing someone without fear of the fighter. Old Third Huang’s legs were feeling weak.

The drone fighter landed ten meters away. It was larger than Earth’s fighter jets, around thirty meters long and forty meters wide. It had no bays or anything—just a single block.

“What are you trying to do?” A woman’s voice came from inside the fighter.

“This is the planet of the Mutants. We Mutants seek independence and autonomy. We want to negotiate with the Alliance Parliament. As a sign of our sincerity, we have around thirty innocent Alliance residents here. We also hold over 1,300 people who are all Alliance citizens—researchers from more than twenty companies or institutions. If our demands aren’t met, we’ll kill them all.”

“But if we are granted autonomy, we will still accept the Alliance’s jurisdiction. The Alliance can assign tax officers, and we’ll provide them with various planetary resources. However, we do not seek military power.” Yang Bo finished in one breath.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Everyone in the main control room was dumbstruck. Autonomy? The Mutants want independence? Did they stumble into a fantasy show?

“Listen up, all of you. The missing people from your planet were kidnapped by these organizations and traded to our planet for all sorts of experiments. This Mutant leader was nearly killed by these institutions and organizations when he was trafficked here.”

“You’re free now. Head toward the fighter. The recognition system will identify your identities.” With a wave of Yang Bo’s hand, Old Third Huang and the others released these residents. Some were the unlucky ones who were with Yang Bo, while others were soldiers from the Planetary Fleet.

Shocked and bewildered, the female captain took a deep breath and activated the recognition system. She immediately saw that these people released by the Mutants were indeed recorded in the system.

The people in the control room all exchanged looks. What day was it today? “We will contact the Parliament as soon as possible.”

“One hour. Bring up the people from Four Seas Company.” Yang Bo sneered inwardly. He was being generous to them.

Over thirty people from Four Seas Company were forced to kneel by the Mutants.

“One by one, tell me about the illegal activities you know Four Seas Company is involved in.” Yang Bo ordered.

    “I…” The first person hesitated.

Thud! Yang Bo controlled the mecha and slapped down with one palm.

    Gene Serum Crafting +4!

“I know! They conduct Gene Serum experiments on residents with poor genetic profiles. Many of these injections have fatality rates that exceed 40%.” The second person quickly spoke.

“Good. Now state your citizen number.” Yang Bo was pleased.

“Help! Please help me! I’m a citizen of Terra… my citizen number is…” One of the researchers cried and shouted.

“Do you see this? All of these are Alliance citizens. In one hour, if you can’t communicate with the Parliament, these people will die. We Mutants will just return to living underground, but every person in your fleet will be despised by the Alliance for the rest of their lives.”

“Oh, by the way, we’ve also captured several Pirates.” Yang Bo said casually.

On the warship, everyone turned to the captain. It had already been confirmed that these people were residents. If all these people died, the entire fleet would be brought before a military court, especially for the dozens of innocent residents. The criminals from the research institutions may be easier to deal with.

The female captain immediately reported to the military, as well as the Parliament. She knew that the military might not make favorable decisions.

Over at the Alliance Parliament, a heated debate was taking place. Suddenly, the Speaker received a message and shouted, “Order! The commander of the Green Demon Planet Fleet is requesting a top-level communication.”

The previously rowdy parliamentarians who were yelling to go fight instantly sat down. The chamber fell silent in an instant.

Once the video connection was established, a female captain appeared, making her report: “Diana, commander of the Green Demon Planet Fleet, reporting to the Parliament.”

“General Diana, please speak,” the Speaker responded formally.

“I don’t even know how to report this. Please, honorable parliamentarians, watch this recording. This happened just five minutes ago.” Commander Diana hesitated before speaking.

The parliamentarians were shocked, and the screen shifted to show a Mutant in a biological mecha, waving a weapon. “This is the Mutants’ planet. We Mutants seek autonomy and independence. The Alliance can assign tax officers, and we will engage in normal trade with the Alliance…”

Thud! Thud! Thud! Cough! Cough! Cough!

The parliamentarians were stunned. Even those with gene evolution powers were startled by this sudden turn of events. Independence for the Mutants? What were they even talking about? A war for independence?

When the parliamentarians saw that Four Seas Company’s researcher had been killed, none were surprised. However, when the researcher confessed that Four Seas Company conducted illegal experiments on residents…

Many parliamentarians became excited, as if injected with adrenaline, immediately shouting, “Shut down Four Seas Company! Arrest all of their personnel!”

“Hang all of Four Seas’ shareholders!”

    “Exactly!”

“You’re talking nonsense! This is just hearsay! Besides, Green Demon Planet isn’t under Alliance control!”

“You’re the one spouting nonsense! The Alliance has ruled Green Demon Planet for hundreds of years! The fleet’s been stationed there for ages! You must have been paid off by Four Seas Company!”

The parliament erupted into chaos. Even more members were stirred up, while a few others turned pale, knowing full well that Green Demon Planet involved not just one organization or institution—but numerous companies. The Speaker watched this happen and knew things were bad. Green Demon Planet had already achieved autonomy. The majority of parliamentarians, who hadn’t reaped any benefits, would support it, and even the minority who did would avoid further involvement…

“There’s another recording.” Commander Diana continued.

When the parliamentarians saw Yang Bo taking on the Spaceship by himself, they knew it wasn’t so simple, and then they saw him succeed.

“An A+ level power?” Many parliamentarians were excited by this scene. The higher the gene evolver’s level, the longer their lifespan. If Green Demon Planet could produce a Mutant of A+ rank, they might eventually benefit too.

When the parliament finally connected half an hour later with the mutants on Green Demon Planet, what the other side said rendered the entire chamber speechless.

“I demand that the Alliance Chief Justice intervene in this incident.” Yang Bo spoke, though he had no idea what a Chief Justice would do. But the more people involved, the better. The Alliance was made up of many factions, and the more factions were involved, the smoother things would go.
