Chapter Index

Yang Bo had no idea the members of the Grey Ash Organization were finished. Even if he knew, it wouldn’t matter. This organization had committed countless crimes, like connecting Pirates and Mutants to launch attacks on the Planetary Fleet. What weren’t they capable of?

As Yang Bo hurried in the Underground World, his Light Energy Control reached grandmaster level in less than a day. Could you believe that? He barely made twenty big craters.

Light Energy Control: Grandmaster (300% increase in Light Energy charging speed, 300% increase in Light Energy attack power.) Arriving in the Underground World, Yang Bo snapped his fingers, detecting the small animals around him. With a wave of his hand, a beam of light shot towards a rat. Then the second, the third, the fourth.

“Three per second.” Yang Bo calculated. He could fire three Light Energy attacks per second like a laser gun, but slightly weakeer.

If he fired once per second, it matched the power of an ordinary laser gun. Charging for threee seconds would make it just as powerful as the most powerful laser gun. The maximum chargee time was ten seconds, after which his body couldn’t handle it.

A ten-second charge unleashed power equivalent to a laser cannon’s lowest setting, the kind used by Mechs.

“The energy consumption is too high.” Yang Bo felt that his body couldn’t handle large amounts of energy for long.

“Compared to a Mech’s laser cannon, it feels a bit lacking.” The Mechs’ laser cannons were not only powerful but had a high attack frequency—dozens or even hundreds of shots per second at max power.

His own ten-second charge was only equal to one low-power shot from a laser cannon.

“Plus, Light Energy and Electric Power are too flashy when released. I should train more on Sonic Attacks instead.” Yang Bo didn’t keep practicing Light Energy attacks because they weren’t that useful in civilized society. Once released, planetary security systems would immediately lock onto you.

So the Underground World was a bit eerie today, with the occasional sound of snapping fingers. The first snap detected the environment, the second was an attack.

By the end of the day, Yang Bo could simultaneously attack ten exposed targets within a kilometer and three hidden ones without using both hands.

Of course, this was only true for ordinary creatures. If they were E-class creatures, then the number of targets and attack frequency would decrease.

“Gravity Mastery is great for travel, but the energy consumption is too high.” Yang Bo released his Mech in the Underground World and took a battery from the cockpit to recharge himself.

The Mech’s battery was a nuclear power cell, continuously generating energy. It wasn’t like the rechargeable batteries bought for everyday use.

On the planet, civilian batteries didn’t contain nuclear energy. Only military ones did.

Gravity Mastery seemed to have the most growth potential in Yang Bo’s view. In the future, he might even be able to apply a hundred or even a thousand times gravity to someone, turning them into a pancake.

Or he could apply a hundred or a thousand times anti-gravity, sending them flying into the sky.

Of course, energy had limits. If the opponent’s energy was stronger than his, they could resist his attacks.

Yang Bo had gained some insights into battles between superpowered individuals.

Energy strength and reaction speed were the most important. As long as your energy strength was high enough, you could let the opponent hit you, and they wouldn’t be able to hurt you.

Additionally, if the opponent couldn’t lock onto you despite having stronger energy, there wouldn’t be much danger.

Everything else seemed secondary. Not as important as those two.

Also, some covert abilities of superpowered individuals were stronger than overt ones, like Yang Bo’s Sonic Control.

Invisibility wasn’t that strong because you couldn’t use other abilities while invisible. That was its main weakness. It’s only useful for escaping or scouting.

There was also a way to break Invisibility—high-frequency energy waves.

Invisibility is a type of energy Yang Bo emitted that placed him in a virtualized state or between two dimensions—perhaps the gap between the third and fourth dimensions, for example.

Yang Bo hadn’t figured out precisely how it worked yet. Maybe when Invisibility reached the grandmaster level, he’d solve the mystery.

Camouflage was an interesting ability. It worked better for disguising as a human than an animal, though, because the size didn’t change much.

For example, a normal rat is only a few centimeters long. Yang Bo, after transforming into a rat, was over one or two meters long.

The same goes for birds. A sparrow would become an enormous bird after transformation, a super-giant bird.

When disguising as creatures like Iron Bull, Yang Bo became slightly smaller than them. Thankfully, his Energy Suit was at least compatible. Otherwise, transforming would leave his parts dangling around, which would be embarrassing.

“It seems the skill name is correct. It’s only a Camouflage, not a real transformation.” After fully charging, Yang Bo was filled with energy and continued his journey. This time, he set out to find an invisible mouse.

Once found, Yang Bo planned to bring it back to the planet for breeding. He could cultivate it to farm the skill, since there weren’t many invisible mice in this place.

Arriving at the site where he’d previously hunted invisible mice, he could still see traces of the bombs he’d dropped.

“Has the terrain changed?” Yang Bo observed the Passage. He distinctly remembered destroying much of the ruins.

Yang Bo turned invisible and scouted the area. The invisible mice lived as a family here before. They shouldn’t be wiped out yet. Of course, if they were, he could only regret it.

“Let’s begin!” After spending most of the day carefully inspecting the surroundings, Yang Bo started his work.

He had two plans. The first was to search the battlefield for some remains like mouse fur and use Bio Summon to test-transform into them.

If that didn’t work, then Plan B would be to capture a live one.

“Hopefully, there are still invisible mice around. But for invisible mice to mutate and become a family, there must be a reason behind it.”

“Once the issue with the Mutants is settled, I’ll investigate further.”

“I also need to create a hideout. After everything is handled, I’ll hide and wait. Once the Alliance Fleet arrives, I can return to civilized society.” Yang Bo carefully examined the battlefield, focusing on the traces on the stone walls, searching for mouse fur from the explosions.

After carefully collecting samples, Yang Bo gathered quite a few mouse remains.

Holding a mouse sample, Yang Bo concentrated and transformed into a two-meter-long rat. Looking at his newly grown fur, he felt strange since he wasn’t wearing the energy suit.

“Bio Summon.” Transformed into a rat, Yang Bo squeaked twice.

Before long, several squeaks echoed around him, and a group of mice rushed towards Yang Bo.

As a giant rat, Yang Bo raised his paw and slapped down on one of the mice, wanting to see what ability it would give him.
