Chapter Index

“They’re all mountains. There’s not much good grassland here, so raising livestock will definitely be difficult. Plus, there are some mutant wild beasts underground here. It will definitely be hard to manage. Besides, no one else wants this land.” Old Third Huang immediately spoke out, and the other mutant leaders nodded in agreement.

“Brother, we don’t care who you are. But we’re claiming all the land above now. If we don’t claim it, the Alliance might sell some off.”

“Exactly. Even poisonous swamps or whatever, let’s claim them under our names for now. Later on, whether it’s useful or not doesn’t matter.”

“The major conglomerates and powerful families of the Alliance will definitely try to take our land later. So, let’s just split it all up now. As for those dangerous areas, we’ll put them in the treaty when we join the Alliance, marking them as nature reserves.”

“It’s very difficult for anyone in the Alliance to touch land marked as nature reserves.” The mutations eagerly explained the benefits of this plan to Yang Bo.

“Alright, I’ll take this area.” Yang Bo nodded. Since everyone said so, there must be some truth in it. The land was a bit larger than expected, mostly hills and mountains, with two medium-sized lakes.

Yang Bo felt these mutants understood society better than he did.

Of course, those lakes were at least several hundred thousand square kilometers.

“Alright, give it a name, and we’ll report this map to the Alliance. The Alliance will issue us official documentation. Also, we need to vote: are we joining the Alliance?” Old Third Huang said.

“And we need to establish a Parliament. Each representative will be the head of their respective territory, with no elections—positions are inherited. How about you, brother, serve as the first Speaker?” Old Third Huang suggested again.

“Not me. Our organization’s focus isn’t here, and we won’t be doing much with our territory. I’ll just be a representative, and that’s it. There’s not much to do; as long as no external forces interfere, we’ll each handle our own business.” Yang Bo shook his head.

Old Third Huang and the others nodded. Yang Bo pondered, what name should his territory have? “Emerald Territory,” Yang Bo finally thought of a good name and declared.

“Alright then.” After completing the map of Green Demon Planet, Old Third Huang and the others submitted it to the Alliance Parliament.

The Alliance Parliament smoothly followed its procedures. While the Alliance had comprehensive laws and even self-governed cities, self-governed planets had never existed before.

The distribution of benefits for Green Demon Planet was laid on the table. Everyone could get a share. Previous powers holding onto Green Demon Planet’s benefits were now bleeding internally.

They had no choice but to bite the bullet and deal with a large swath of their trusted personnel, hoping to avoid getting implicated. Even if everyone knew they were responsible, without evidence, it could be ignored.

But once someone returns from Green Demon Planet, the evidence would surface.

Shortly after submitting the report, the Parliament held a vote, and the proposal for Green Demon Planet’s autonomy passed unanimously.

Half a month went by as Yang Bo toured his territory. It was vast. As for the dangerous regions with mutant beasts, Yang Bo had no death wish; he didn’t go looking to see what was there.

He wouldn’t even go near the underground world and whatever unexplained existences lurked there. Safety came first. If these things had existed on the planet for this long, they weren’t to be trifled with.

Besides, he had plenty of time ahead. He had skills he couldn’t even fully use yet, especially with the planetary security systems gradually improving.

“1.46 million square kilometers.” Yang Bo looked at the documentation for Emerald Territory. This was his territory now, the numbers reflected in digital records. The official paper documents would arrive to all the major lords within half a month.

Then, the Green Demon Planet Parliament was officially formed. Under the witness of the Alliance Chief Judge and Parliament, Green Demon Planet’s Parliament was established. Yang Bo gained another title: a member of the Alliance Parliament. Within the Alliance, he now had many exemptions— for instance, if Yang Bo committed a crime on another planet, he would be extradited only to Green Demon Planet for trial.

This status came with a title: Super Citizen.

Returning to his planet, these parliamentarians would still face judgment, but by legal standards, they might get the lightest or minimum sentences.

“Tsk tsk.” Yang Bo figured that if he were sent back to Green Demon Planet for trial, there’d probably be no consequences.

Because, despite the appearance of a Parliament on Green Demon Planet, it held no real power. Everyone just managed their own territory.

This was exactly what the Alliance Parliament wanted. The Alliance didn’t want a centralized Parliament on Green Demon Planet—it didn’t align with their interests.

What’s more, it was even more interesting that the mutant leaders on Green Demon Planet didn’t collect blood samples, so it wasn’t possible to bind the documents to individuals.

In other words, whoever held the documents could claim to be a lord or representative of Green Demon Planet. The documents weren’t named, so as long as you had them, the territory was yours.

Yang Bo had no way of going through with blood sample collection or binding his territory…

At Green Demon Planet Parliament’s first meeting, Yang Bo looked at the mutant leaders in their energy suits and couldn’t help but laugh. Apparently, this was the first time they’d ever had an actual meeting. To put it simply, they didn’t trust each other.

Makes sense. With people like Old Third Huang sneaking into his neighbor’s place at every turn, who wouldn’t be on guard?

Yang Bo found it frustrating. Because of these meetings and constant back-and-forth with the Parliament, he couldn’t leave.

Finally, after another month, Yang Bo and the others received their official documents and lordly badges. These badges were equivalent to official seals. From then on, any official correspondence with the Parliament would need to be stamped with this badge.

Along with these, a fleet arrived. This fleet was sent to relieve the planetary fleet, which needed to return to the Alliance for refitting.

Once Yang Bo received his official documents, he disappeared. It wasn’t just Yang Bo—many other mutant leaders were busy establishing their own cities and territories. After all, as tribal leaders, strength was still the top priority.

Yang Bo took Iron Bull on a patrol of his territory, instructing the beast to remember: this was their ground.

Iron Bull had grown rapidly over these days. His skin had changed from silver to gold, and now it looked a bit black. Meanwhile, his brother gleamed a brilliant gold.

“I hope they find me soon.” Yang Bo glanced at the tall grass around him as he approached the hidden rats near the cave by his escape pod.

He touched his messy hair. His arm, like his hollow cheeks, looked malnourished. This was all part of his Camouflage.

Yang Bo had finally dealt with Four Seas Company. They weren’t just buying people from the Alliance for their genetic serum experiments. They were also purchasing people from other nations and pirates, even using some residents as test subjects.

“These scumbags even refined my Gene Serum to the master level. It just so happens I have an invisible rat and Iron Bull’s saliva. Maybe I can make some gene injections on March Planet.” Yang Bo checked his skills.
