Chapter Index

This high-tech suit is like a wetsuit. It has a control system but nothing else. However, once you wear it, it can automatically blend in with the surroundings.

“There’s a weakness with this suit though. You can’t stand in an empty, obvious area.” Yang Bo discovered this flaw during the experiment.

Yang Bo followed the other party’s route, traveling through the seabed, and finally reached his yacht.

Yang Bo disguised himself as Robert, carefully searching through the yacht.

“Turns out he’s just a researcher from a company.” On the yacht, Yang Bo found part of Robert’s information. He was a researcher from a biotechnology company.

While Yang Bo searched Robert’s yacht, at the Underground Bunker, Robert slowly regained consciousness.

He suddenly jumped up, realizing he was imprisoned.

The first thing Robert noticed was the collar around his neck.

He then checked his clothes and other belongings. Everything was still there, but his mind was filled with questions. Inspecting the walls, he found them all made of warship armor, besides a single overhead light.

After only a glance, Robert gave up. It was a standard warship light, used when docking at a skyport, just like a marker light.

“Who are they? Why set this trap?”

“If they’re professionals, why didn’t they take everything from me?”

The more Robert thought, the more confused he became. If the enemy were professional intelligence agents, they would have confiscated everything. Even though he didn’t carry an ID, how could an agent have nothing on him?

“Aren’t they afraid I’ll commit suicide?” Robert sat on the ground, his mind racing.

After getting off the yacht, Yang Bo saw the same staff member from last time, mimicking Robert’s tone to greet him.

The yacht dock was a specialized port. In fact, the city didn’t even have a large port because, supposedly, the sea wasn’t suitable for large ships.

Yang Bo arrived at Robert’s house. Ignoring the grandeur of the home, he went straight inside.

The interior was indeed high-end, but Yang Bo’s mind wasn’t on that.

He returned to his own appearance and snapped his fingers to initiate a scan.

He quickly found Robert’s hidden secret room.

“Seems like this wasn’t targeted at me.” Yang Bo finally breathed a sigh of relief after finding the orders from the Grey Ash Organization to Robert.

The orders were to search for all surviving residents or citizens on the warship and conduct a thorough investigation.

They aimed to figure out what exactly happened in the Grey Ash Organization’s branch on Green Demon Planet.

Since it wasn’t directed at him, Yang Bo felt relieved. If it had been, he’d have relied on the Company for support.

However, Yang Bo was somewhat disappointed. Robert was the most deeply embedded intelligence agent. He’d never been in contact with the organization before this, so there was no information about the Grey Ash Organization’s personnel structure or other contacts.

Moreover, Robert’s background was squeaky clean, a typical white-collar worker, with no apparent flaws.

This guy had many friends and had joined five or six different associations.

Fishing Club, Yacht Club, and even a Charitable Association.

His social network was vast, which Yang Bo understood. After all, he was an intelligence agent, and a deeply embedded one at that.

This role was likely the Grey Ash Organization’s final card.

Robert didn’t have much in savings, seemingly spending most of his earnings on maintaining his network.

Even if he had money, Yang Bo couldn’t take it—after all, bank transactions leave traces.

As for finding more members of the Grey Ash Organization, that was clearly not easy. The orders had come via encrypted emails.

So Yang Bo realized that locating Robert’s direct superiors was almost impossible—a wild dream.

Robert’s house had a few small gadgets that Yang Bo found interesting.

An energy disruptor, about the size of a ping-pong ball. Once activated, it disrupts all smart devices within a five-meter radius.

“Good stuff. I need to keep this.” Yang Bo liked this device, feeling it suited him.

There was also a box of flies. Two hundred surveillance flies were in the box, using the latest biotech to gather intelligence.

“This isn’t very useful to me.” Since Yang Bo had Invisibility, he felt little need for such tools.

“Energy Suit! Energy Weapon!” The suit and weapons were related to personal energy. Yang Bo couldn’t use them easily as there might be some Grey Ash Organization codes on them.

Robert also had a small wine cellar, filled with fine wines. But Yang Bo couldn’t take them as each bottle had a unique ID and purchase record.

In this world, most products have unique identification codes, allowing traceability through every sales stage in case of issues.

“How can I arrange for Robert’s legitimate disappearance?” Sitting in Robert’s secret room, Yang Bo pondered.

“No matter what, once something happens to Robert, I’ll be on the Grey Ash Organization’s suspect list.”

“Looks like I need to strike at the Grey Ash Organization.” Yang Bo had the Grey Ash Organization’s encrypted system, but didn’t yet know how to use it.

After packing up the items he planned to take, Yang Bo prepared to leave.

As for interrogating Robert, Yang Bo didn’t expect to get much information. He figured it was better to keep him locked up for now.

“I wonder if that guy plays the Mecha Game?” Just before leaving, a thought struck Yang Bo.

“The Mecha Game’s closed beta supposedly starts tomorrow. But why do I feel like there’s something off with this beta test?” Yang Bo moved over to Robert’s computer, opening it while lost in thought.

Yang Bo figured the Military wasn’t planning anything good with this so-called beta test.

Opening the Mecha Game, Yang Bo was surprised to find Robert owned an 11th-gen Mecha, making him a high-level Mecha Pilot.

Robert had also received an invite to the closed beta.

“Did they send invites to everyone in the Mecha Game?” Yang Bo looked at the game’s mail, wondering.

He agreed to the invitation without hesitation, deciding to see what the Military was up to.

“It’s a pity the game isn’t broken and liable for compensation. Otherwise, I’d bankrupt Robert and have the Judicial System seize his house—they’d find out about his Grey Ash Organization identity naturally.”

About to write the fourth update. The flu is filling up the hospitals, everyone stay safe.
