Chapter Index

The Military leaders were growing more and more confused by Yang Bo’s actions. Where did he learn this odd knowledge?

As the commander of this operation, even the Colonel was baffled. How does this guy know so much? Based on his record, he shouldn’t know this much.

“We’ve identified it. It’s a fire extinguisher, a type of energy engine extinguisher.” These days, finding things like this was easy, and the Colonel’s subordinates quickly uncovered the information.

Meanwhile, Yang Bo’s mecha happily toted the canister along.

“This is a good find.” Yang Bo had originally planned to use a piece of the transport ship’s hull as a shield, but stumbled upon this treasure instead.

Yang Bo controlled the mecha, carrying the canister quickly toward the battlefield.

The area surrounding the building for 200 meters was completely open, making it impossible to approach.

There were no doors in the other areas but there were shooting apertures, and any attempt to get close would result in being attacked by the mecha inside using a laser cannon.

Yang Bo examined the entire terrain, calculating rapidly in his mind.

He then maneuvered the mecha to retreat a bit, activating the jetpack, and the mecha soared into the air in a graceful arc.

At the peak of the arc, Yang Bo tossed the canister and twisted the valve off with the mecha’s hand before throwing it.

The canister spewed a trail of white smoke, soaring a few hundred meters high before coming down at an angle.

As Yang Bo’s mecha landed, the canister in the sky traced a curve, slamming near the building’s entrance before bouncing once.

At that moment, the building’s mecha automated attack system locked onto it. Several lasers hit the canister instantly.

The canister exploded with a loud bang, releasing a dense cloud of smoke.

The smoke quickly solidified, and in less than a second, the entire entrance looked like it was covered by the webs of tens of thousands of spiders.

“This type of extinguisher releases a fire-resistant fiber that is tough, flameproof, and isolates energy. In other words, it can disrupt the radar system of enemy mecha and is difficult to remove.” A Military leader observed through a screen that showed Yang Bo’s mecha view, explaining to the Colonel’s team.

The mecha inside the building shut down instantly. At that moment, Yang Bo’s mecha, wielding an energy weapon, charged toward the entrance like a cannonball.

The teammates who had fired earlier were stunned. What kind of weapon was that? A single canister thrown over, and this was the result?

When they saw Yang Bo’s mecha suddenly appear, the teammates quickly followed suit, rushing in with their energy weapons as well.

Yang Bo’s mecha, holding the energy weapon, dashed forward at over Mach 2. The weapon didn’t even need to swing or slash; it just needed to be aimed at the enemy mecha.

At that speed, the weapon could slice through any mecha like butter.

Yang Bo smashed into an enemy mecha, slamming it into a wall.

Yang Bo could feel his mecha’s weapon slicing through something.

He then dashed to the right without bothering with the remaining mecha.

Breaking free from the view obscured by the fireproof fibers, Yang Bo saw a storage room – a multi-level warehouse. On one side, there was a passage leading downward.

A few guys dressed in energy suits stood there, dumbfounded, staring at the suddenly appeared Alliance mecha.

Yang Bo’s mecha fired lasers, creating a brilliant explosion as it blasted through several of them.

The passage led to a large open gate, revealing a sturdy silver-white door behind it.

Unfortunately, the door was ajar now, and upon entering, Yang Bo noticed two guard turrets. But no one was positioned beside them.

The area was similar to the warehouse upstairs, with a height of nearly 20 meters. Dozens of people were gathered inside, alongside a few mechas, though their cockpits were open.

Suddenly, the base’s alarm blared. The group inside reacted instantly, followed by rapid laser fire.

The exposed cockpits on several mechas were hit by lasers repeatedly, rendering them unusable.

In less than two seconds, Yang Bo’s shoulder-mounted laser cannon ceased firing.

“Automatic attacks feel so satisfying!” Yang Bo muttered inwardly. In such a chaotic scene, other than manually targeting the mecha cockpits at the start, the rest was handled by a single automatic command.

“Another A+! And it’s for Gene Mastery!” Yang Bo didn’t know who these people were, but anyone moving freely couldn’t possibly be hostages.

The Military leaders were impressed by Yang Bo’s fluid mecha maneuvers. His actions were as smooth as flowing water.

“Impressive! It turns out we’ve got an A+ level rebel here.”

“So efficient, not a single wasted movement!”

“With proper training, he could become a top-tier Mecha Pilot.”

“The Four Seas Company secretly modified this warehouse. It’s clearly a hidden testing facility.”

“This guy is just too good, expertly using the battlefield to his advantage.”

The Military leaders felt thoroughly satisfied watching how quickly Yang Bo broke through and took out the enemy. Right now, they were furious at these rebels and would gladly see all of them executed personally.

“This guy is so skilled, but so far, he’s accidentally injured two hostages.”

“It seems this guy has an unusual background. He even understands spaceship maintenance—something only an expert would know. Investigate thoroughly!”

“In the beginning, he held hostages by the elevator, where he shot a superhuman who then exploded, harming the hostages. Purely an accident,” said a Military leader as he reviewed the stats. He was equally shocked.

Yang Bo swept through every room until he found one filled with hostages. The hostages wore collars around their necks.

Seeing the Alliance mecha, the hostages burst into tears. Of course, the in-game players only heard the hostages’ thanks, missing the actual scene.

Yang Bo checked several more rooms, discovering another with a dozen people inside. These people had no collars, and there were energy suits nearby. It was clear they were taking a break.

Yang Bo’s mecha instantly fired the laser cannon, causing the room to explode. The powerful shockwave broke the door, sending debris flying out.

He gained a bunch of Gene Mastery skills.

“Get this guy out of here fast. Killing unarmed individuals so openly will draw complaints from the freed hostages.”

“Exactly, send him to another area immediately.” The Military leaders shouted upon seeing Yang Bo mercilessly killing the unarmed rebels.

“Dear player, this area’s battle has ended. Would you like to enter another area?” The virtual display prompted Yang Bo with this message.

Curious, Yang Bo clicked on confirm, thinking, “What does this mean?”

In the next second, the scene disappeared, replaced by a mecha game wallpaper. A few words were displayed: Transitioning…
