Chapter Index

Comical, eerie, and dangerous. Yang Bo’s movements as he controlled the mecha gave off these three impressions.

A military base spanning hundreds of square kilometers sounds big, but for a mecha, it’s still a bit small.

Yang Bo adjusted his mecha’s movement, trying to maneuver the shield he was holding to cover the holes in a safer direction.

With the blackened shield, Yang Bo charged through the gate and entered the base.

The two defense cannons at the entrance fired nonstop, maxing out their power.

Other defense cannons within range spotted the unidentified object and joined in the attack.

Even snipers from farther away started firing at the sight, but it had no effect.

Yang Bo kept charging forward with his black shield, moving in a ridiculous and comical manner as he rushed deep into the base.

Stunned, the Alliance military personnel exchanged shocked glances. What the hell was this guy after? And how did he even know this thing?

Even the warship’s captain was in disbelief. How did this guy know so much? He just picked up random stuff, and it actually worked?

The inside of the base was in chaos, with alarms blaring throughout the facility.

Finally, Yang Bo, still holding his black shield, entered the base’s command tower.

Someone from the Military’s operations team shouted, “Found it!”

“It’s the spaceship engine energy reactor shield. Its main purpose is to protect the ship in case of an energy reactor explosion.”

“This shield redirects the explosive energy rearward. It’s a one-time-use item. After a certain number of years, it can only be scrapped and can’t be recycled.”

“Normally, once enough of these have been collected, they’re thrown into stars for disposal. The material resembles ceramic, which can withstand high-energy impacts, but it’s fragile.”

The military leaders exchanged confused looks. One of them asked, “Isn’t this thing really rare?”

“Yes, General. Typically, a spaceship will use one just once in its lifetime. It’s extremely durable.”

“Only if there’s an explosion would it be dismantled. Otherwise, it’s taken apart when the ship reaches the end of its lifecycle.”

“Is this guy from a spaceship factory?”

“His background doesn’t suggest that. Could he just be an enthusiast?” The military personnel were confused but filled with questions.

Yang Bo reached the command tower in just two minutes, heading straight for the base’s heart.

This was the core of the entire base, where the control and command centers were situated.

Yang Bo charged into the tower, still carrying that blackened shield.

The personnel inside were slow to react, and the main door wasn’t even shut yet.

By the time they saw Yang Bo with his black shield, it was too late to close the door.

Yang Bo rushed into the tower, shield first.

The people inside began shooting at the shield with their laser guns, but it had no effect.

Yang Bo’s mecha pressed, then threw the blackened shield outwards.

At that moment, the people in the hall were busy setting up defense cannons.

As soon as Yang Bo discarded the black shield, the laser cannons on his mecha opened fire.

    It was a slaughter!

The mecha’s automatic attack system treated everyone as enemies, firing dozens or even hundreds of laser shots per second in all directions.

The hall was instantly lit ablaze with magnificent bursts of energy as the blasts impacted everything around.

There were four other mechas, but none of them were carrying close-combat weapons. It seemed they were only there to help install the defense cannons.

Ignoring his shoulder-mounted laser cannon for a moment, Yang Bo activated his jetpack, swiftly slashing through one of the mechas with his giant weapon.

The opposing mecha was instantly torn apart. Close combat with mechas doesn’t require slashing; it’s all about speed.

When the other three mechas rushed at Yang Bo with their weapons, he piloted his mecha up the stairs, heading upward.

This move caught everyone by surprise. Their communication channels filled with heart-wrenching screams.

No one knew what Yang Bo’s ultimate goal was. He didn’t want to engage the mechas — it’s much easier to fight those without mechas! His mecha acted like a mobile turret, casting rays of death. Yang Bo focused on dodging the enemy mechas’ attacks.

There weren’t many mechas in the tower. The area was spacious, and moving to the second floor allowed him to survey it entirely. Three enemy mechas were present.

Yang Bo skillfully piloted his mecha, evading their attacks, but despite his efforts, his own mecha triggered multiple alarms.

His laser cannon was programmed to prioritize human targets. The people on this floor were out of luck, as dozens died within seconds.

Yang Bo paused for only one second before swiftly moving to the third floor.

This time, he brought a fireproof door with him.

The fireproof door was well-built, but was attached by hinges to the frame so it could open and close. Because the mechas had entered, the door had a handle on the top.

With any other material, like smooth warship armor, a mecha wouldn’t have been able to carry it.

Using his mecha weapon, Yang Bo severed the hinges and ascended to the third floor with the door in hand.

As soon as he turned onto the second-to-third floor platform, his jetpack roared to life, pushing his mecha and the door toward two enemy mechas.

The two mechas on the third floor never expected Yang Bo to use such brute force, launching a jetpack-powered charge in such a confined space.

The intense impact knocked them over. Without hesitation, Yang Bo opened the fireproof door and stormed through.

In his mecha’s sight, dozens of people were instantly blasted into vibrant energy fireworks.

Yang Bo’s mecha tore through the third floor, heading toward a stairway on the other side.

He wasn’t bothering to chase down the people hiding in corners.

As he reached the stairway, he saw a large group rushing downstairs, four mechas offering protection.

Most of them were wearing Red Earl’s energy suits.

As soon as Yang Bo barged through the fireproof door, all four mechas opened fire. Fortunately, the door shielded most of the attacks, while Yang Bo’s laser cannon mercilessly targeted those in energy suits.

Watching this, the military leaders were in utter disbelief.

The Colonel in charge of this operation reported, “General, 11 members of Red Earl’s new government, including parliamentarians, have been terminated.”
