Chapter Index

Perhaps it was the angle, but the distant starlight illuminated numerous warplanes. The continuous stream of warplanes looked like countless missiles, each trailing a brilliant plume of exhaust from their energy engines.

“The Anti-Government Fighter commander is impressive.”

“Exactly. I bet the enemy starship is turning around, channeling most of its energy to the main engines.”

“Still, they can’t stop or they’d become sitting ducks.”

Hearing the chatter on the communication channel from the Bounty Hunter Guild, Yang Bo understood why the warplanes were taking off at this moment.

“The enemy starship is definitely using the planet’s gravity to help turn. Tsk tsk.”

“No doubt, how else could they turn so quickly?”

    “Look, there it is!”

At this point, a starship slowly emerged in the void. It gleamed brightly under the starlight.

“Is that an Alliance warship?” Yang Bo couldn’t figure out which side the starship belonged to, so he quickly asked.

“Yes.” The Bounty Hunter Guild President muttered to himself, ‘You’re a pirate and yet can’t recognize an Alliance warship?’

“Is he pretending not to know? Definitely. He’s faking ignorance.”

“Quick, find the Fat Boss and come up with a plan. I’m going in for a big score—might even get a reward.” Hearing this, Yang Bo, of course, wanted to help the Alliance. After all, the Anti-Government Fighters had turned people into cyborgs. Yang Bo refused to side with them—not because he’d killed many cyborgs or anything to do with his Metal Superpower… No, it just felt wrong.

“Uh…” The Bounty Hunter Guild President let out a dumbfounded sound.

As for the Third Master, his strength allowed him to act recklessly, but the rest of them were weak and just stayed back to watch.

The Bounty Hunter Guild hurried out of their warplanes. After all, there were thousands upon thousands of enemy warplanes—no matter how strong someone was, charging now would end badly.

Once everyone was out of the warplanes, Yang Bo powered up his warplane’s engines at full throttle. With a sharp climb, the warplane shot into the sky.

A pilot’s own skill limits the speed of the warplane. This planet has strong gravity, so initial liftoff requires an acceleration phase. Luckily, the planet’s thin atmosphere brings both pros and cons.

However, laser weapons are largely unaffec.

Right now, everyone on the planet looked up at the sky, where a starship was fully exposed to the sunlight.

Yang Bo realized that the Anti-Government Fighters had hidden their warplanes on the planet. As the two Alliance warships began turning, one relied on its main engine while the other used the planet’s gravity.

Whichever warship finished turning first would have the upper hand. The first to turn would expose more of the enemy’s surface area during their turn.

The two Alliance warship commanders hadn’t expected that there would be tens of thousands of hidden warplanes on the planet. The planet blocked their sensors, so the warplanes went unnoticed when they took off.

The moment the Alliance warships appeared, they saw countless warplanes.

The Alliance warships had no choice but to allocate some energy to activating their defense systems while also deploying their own warplanes.

Every action on the starship consumes energy, and now most of it was being used by the main engines, all while being pulled by the planet’s gravity.

In the distance, the Anti-Government Fighters commander grinned widely, knowing this pull would slow the Alliance warship’s turn.

As long as they finished turning first, they could launch their laser weapons from a long distanc

Yang Bo’s warplane was now directly aligned with the Anti-Government’s planes, and he opened fire.

Yang Bo couldn’t catch up with them, but the lasers could. Currently in his mechanical state, Yang Bo was completely calm. His eyes, like radar, constantly calculated the distance, speed, and direction of the approaching enemy. Then, aiming his warplane’s laser cannon, he fired! Far ahead, a warplane in a dense formation of Anti-Government warplanes took a direct hit to its engine, exploding.

The explosion sent debris flying several kilometers. The warplanes flying behind couldn’t dodge in time.

At least five or six warplanes crashed into the exploding debris. About two of them also exploded, further increasing the chaos.

Yang Bo’s laser cannon fired relentlessly, targeting one Anti-Government warplane after another.

The Anti-Government warplanes had been hidden on the planet, and to avoid detection, they were clustered tightly. As they took off, they kept close formation to quickly reach the enemy.

Only now did the Anti-Government pilots react, hastily turning their laser cannons to fire at Yang Bo. In mere seconds, they had lost hundreds of warplanes. The destruction of the lead planes made it impossible for the trailing planes to avoid the wreckage and crashes, leading to more explosions.

“Third Master, announce in the public channel that you’re from An Zhijie’s March Planet branch. We’ve gotten the Fat Boss to handle the rest.” Yang Bo dodged an Anti-Government attack while steering his warplane.

At this moment, the voice of the Bounty Hunter Guild President came through the communication channel.

Yang Bo loudly shouted into the public channel and effortlessly dodged another attack from the Anti-Government Fighters.

There were many Anti-Government planes, but so were there many warplanes in front of Yang Bo.

No matter how the Anti-Government planes fired, Yang Bo could use their own warplanes as cover while continuing to shoot.

A warplane has only one blind spot—directly behind its engine. Yang Bo skillfully used this to his advantage, dodging and firing toward the Anti-Government planes.

The tight formations of the Anti-Government planes were now in disarray, scattering away from their initial close-knit positions.

They had no choice but to disperse—otherwise, the explosions of their comrades’ warplanes would act like bombs, covering a large area.

As for defense, forget it. The hiding warplanes had exposed their engines, and this weakness was too great.

Some of the warplanes tried to turn and engage Yang Bo directly. Seeing this, Yang Bo immediately targeted them.

The Anti-Government communication channels were filled with curses because their warplanes were still trying to break free from the planet’s large gravitational pull.

The commanders of the two Alliance warships were equally surprised. They had heard Yang Bo’s announcement on the public channel about being from An Zhijie’s March Planet branch.

The two commanders initially thought it was a scam but soon saw Yang Bo’s warplane disrupt the Anti-Government formation.

The Anti-Government Fighters couldn’t take Yang Bo any longer. At least a thousand warplanes turned around to target him.

But this gave the warplanes from the Alliance’s starship a chance.

The starship continued to release its warplanes.

The warplanes had strong defenses from the front, but the engines in the rear were vulnerable.

Initially, the Anti-Government warplanes were like a sharp sword, but now they were scattered like a flurry of shots. Yang Bo maneuvered his warplane freely behind.

Yang Bo didn’t attack the closest Anti-Government warplanes, even though they were firing at him, because of their limited firing range towards the tail.

Although it sounds long, only a few seconds had passed. Yang Bo’s customized warplane, powered by four laser cannons, fired hundreds of shots per second.

It doesn’t take much power to hit a warplane’s engine…

In just a few seconds, Yang Bo had shot down over three hundred warplanes. The destruction spread debris far, affecting at least a thousand more warplanes, then causing more explosions.

It was like a race crash—the lead car spins out, and the cars behind can’t avoid it, causing a massive pile-up.

Yang Bo had chosen the perfect timing to attack. Acting while the warplanes were struggling to escape the planet’s gravity, aiming to quickly reach the Alliance warships.

In those few seconds, though, many Anti-Government warplanes turned around. Yang Bo’s warplane was targeted by hundreds of them. Even as he rolled and maneuvered expertly, he couldn’t dodge them all.

His warplane’s front end exploded, and the wreckage plummeted toward the planet.

At least those turning warplanes weren’t any better off, since the Alliance’s warplanes were shooting them down—leaving their exposed engines vulnerable.

Looking over himself, Yang Bo saw his warplane in ruins and his armor heavily damaged. But in his mechanical state, the metallic skin greatly minimized the damage he received.

“Worth it.” Even though it only lasted a few seconds, Yang Bo’s achievements were astounding. In such a short time, he had likely set a new record for warplane kills.

Not only that, but Yang Bo noticed his mechanical progress had increased to 6%. Was it because of the sheer number of warplanes he had destroyed? Yang Bo’s wrecked warplane crashed hard to the ground. When the Bounty Hunters arrived twenty minutes later, it had fallen far from the battlefield.

“No one’s here?” The Bounty Hunter Guild and the Fat Boss examined the wreckage but found no trace of Yang Bo, leaving them all bewildered.

Yang Bo had long since cloaked himself and slipped away. The instant the warplane hit the ground, he used anti-gravity inside the wreckage to negate the impact.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Government Fighters commander received the report from the battlefield and erupted into fury in the command room.

“A bunch of fools! How could you not destroy that warplane first?”

    “What were they thinking?”

“Who’s responsible for this warplane!?” The commander couldn’t believe one warplane had ruined his plan.

The commanders of the two Alliance warships breathed a sigh of relief. Though the warrior from An Zhijie had heroically sacrificed himself, he had provided them with an opportunity.

“What a pity,” the commanders thought. Such talent would’ve been better suited for the military.

“Where did Third Master go?” The Bounty Hunters on the ground were left scratching their heads.

Sorry for the delays these past few days. Once I’m back, I’ll be sure to go all out!
