Chapter Index

Third Master disappeared and is nowhere to be found. Based on the traces left behind, it doesn’t seem he got into any trouble. Although the cockpit was damaged, there are no signs of an explosion inside.

Third Master is offline, while Yang Bo has logged in. He turned invisible and entered the mine. Looking at his armor, he felt heartbroken.

“Next time, I’ll ask the Bounty Hunter Guild to find out the location of the Anti-Government Fighters’ base.” Yang Bo made up his mind to go there and farm his Metal Superpower skill.

“I also need to figure out how to repair the armor. I don’t even know how it’s forged.” Yang Bo donned his heavy-duty protective gear and appeared inside the mine.

While searching for exposed Energy Stones, Yang Bo felt that this time his harvest was immense, and the battle had given him a lot of inspiration.

The biggest realization was his ability to use his superpower to interfere with all detection devices, though more research was needed.

“Huh?” Yang Bo noticed that Sonic Detection could be used to locate Energy Stones.

“I’m such an idiot.” Yang Bo cursed himself. All this time, he had ignored the fact that sound waves could travel through solids and at tremendous speed too.

Yang Bo knocked on a rock and discovered that the feedback from various internal structures of different densities felt distinct.

The Energy Stone’s density was much higher than that of regular rocks, so it was easy to detect the differences.

“But it’s still troublesome.” Yang Bo looked at the collapsed tunnel. The rocks were all over the place. While he could detect some areas with Energy Stones, there was no way to get in.

The rocks in front of him weren’t very large. After flipping them over, he found on the other side a pale green Energy Stone about the size of a quail egg.

“I think I also have a similar colored one stored on Green Demon Planet?” Yang Bo muttered to himself, staring at the Energy Stone.

After knocking the Energy Stone loose, since there was no energy involved, the stone remained hard and very stable.

But if you foolishly tried using energy to touch it, it might explode instantly. The power varies depending on the attributes involved.

Once knocked free, Yang Bo packed the Energy Stone in a special bag designed to prevent energy disruptions between stones.

He didn’t care about the battle happening outside because he couldn’t participate in anything on that scale.

Warship crossfire outside was still incredibly dangerous. Everyone knew that warship laser cannons packed an enormous punch; watching from a distance might accidentally get him caught in the crossfire.

No matter who won or lost, it wouldn’t affect Yang Bo much. Even if the Anti-Government Fighters won, the worst-case scenario would be getting captured, and he’d just escape when the opportunity presented itself.

If the Alliance won, then there would be nothing to worry about. Staying inside the mine also had another advantage—if he ran into extremists, he could just kill them outright.

Since this mine was an Energy Stone vein, it blocked detection and communication. Killing someone in here meant no one outside would ever know what happened.

If things got really bad, he could summon his mecha, kill the enemy, and then just put the mecha away again.

    You couldn’t do that outside.

“Once I get back, I’ll reveal to Fat Boss that I have a Light Attribute superpower. I wonder if his family knows how to use Light Attribute abilities?” Yang Bo decided he would show off his superpower to Fat Boss.

The reason he had chosen to reveal the Light Attribute superpower to Fat Boss was that it was far too conspicuous. Once activated, he’d become the center of attention.

This superpower couldn’t be concealed easily. Other abilities like Electric Powers, Anti-Gravity Powers, and Sound Wave Powers were relatively more covert.

“Yang Bo?” Yang Bo had found quite a few Energy Stones when he suddenly heard someone calling him over the communication channel.

Yang Bo didn’t reply. Then the voice on the comms called again, “Yang Bo? Are you there?”

Next, the voice started mumbling to itself: “Where did this guy go? I’ve searched through several levels of the mine.”

“Wu Ge?” Yang Bo recognized the voice and hurriedly responded on the comms.

“Come quick! You’ll want to see this big scene—something you won’t see again in a lifetime.” Wu Bing threw one sentence and then went silent after hearing Yang Bo’s response.

At this moment, Yang Bo knew he couldn’t keep staying in the mine, so he made a dash for the exit.

After leaving the mine, Yang Bo looked up at the void. The sky was illuminated by five warships, each with its glowing energy shields.

That wasn’t all. The void resembled a meteor shower as countless warplanes engaged in non-stop combat. Laser beams flashed everywhere as warplanes exploded or lost control. Some of the light was from the engines of these warplanes.

“The Anti-Government Fighters’ commander is clever, even hiding an extra warship.”

“If Third Master hadn’t disrupted their deployment, that first wave of the Alliance’s warships would not have fared well at all.”

“The Anti-Government Fighters Commander’s planning is meticulous. The Alliance warships used this planet’s gravity to turn around. As long as those warplanes can take out part of the warship’s laser cannons…”

“Although the cannons can be repaired, it takes time. If just a third of them are destroyed, the first two Alliance warships would surely be wrecked.”

“Our Third Master is really something. He must have taken out at least 2,000 warplanes in that wave, right?”

“Not really, he only directly destroyed three to four hundred. It’s just that their formation was too tightly packed.”

“What a pity Third Master is missing.”

“Do you guys think more warships will show up?”

Listening to Fat Boss and the others talk, Yang Bo finally understood what had happened.

The Anti-Government Fighters had hidden a warship in the distance, planning to encircle two of the Alliance’s warships. After the Alliance warships turned around, the Anti-Government warship would appear behind them.

If the Anti-Government Fighters’ ambush using warplanes succeeded, the Alliance warships would be caught between the two Anti-Government warships.

If the hidden warplanes took out part of the first wave’s warships’ cannons, the Alliance ships would be crippled.

Yang Bo’s disruptions ruined this plan. The Anti-Government warship showed up behind the Alliance warships.

However, the Alliance had also hidden a warship just behind the Anti-Government’s vessel.

So from the very beginning, both sides had hidden a warship out of sight. After they started firing and turning around, the hidden warships emerged from behind.

“They’re all masters of the game.” Yang Bo sighed after hearing this, reflecting on how everyone had a hidden knife up their sleeve.

“Look! Another warship appeared in the distance.” Just when everyone thought the five warships had created an unprecedented battlefield, another warship emerged from the depths of the void.
