Chapter Index

The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild looked at the stone in front of Yang Bo and said, “I need to check the size of this Energy Stone first.”

The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild was inexplicably excited because his father was already quite old. Longevity Energy Stones didn’t mean much to ordinary people.

But for elderly people with power, it was very appealing. Here, ‘elderly’ didn’t refer to age but to Superhumans entering the elderly phase of their own abilities.

Yang Bo overheard the conversation and picked up the stone, smashing it down. Unexpectedly, the color of the energy stone inside was deeper than the previous one, a vibrant green, about the size of a Black Plum.

The Fat Boss and his group were speechless. From the moment they got down here, it hadn’t been that long, yet Yang Bo had already found another Longevity Energy Stone.

The Fat Boss picked up the Energy Stone from the ground, gazing at the mesmerizing emerald green glow.

“Take a look for yourself!” The Fat Boss tossed the Energy Stone in his hand to the other party.

The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild caught the emerald-green Energy Stone and began inspecting it closely.

“50 million!” The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild immediately offered a price.

“100 million, and half of it in supplies. I know your Bounty Hunter Guild allows the purchase of many supplies internally,” the Fat Boss countered.

Then the Fat Boss fell silent, waiting for a response. However, privately, he said to Yang Bo on a separate channel, “The Bounty Hunter Guild has many rare potion formulas and materials, and buying internally is cheaper and much safer than buying from the Black Market.”

Hearing this, Yang Bo immediately responded, “I’ll follow your lead, Boss.”

“And if your Superpower indeed turns out to be light-based, you’ll have to deal with the Bounty Hunter Guild again. They are an international organization with resources we don’t have.” The Fat Boss added.

The Fat Boss continued, “The Bounty Hunter Guild also has plenty of good stuff inside. If there’s a chance, I’ll try to get you a good suit of Armor.”

Yang Bo was very pleased with the Fat Boss’s reaction, saying, “Boss, you’ve seen a lot. I trust your judgment.”

The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild calculated privately. A billion for a covert deal wasn’t that expensive.

    Plus, there were several advantages.

First, it was cheap. This Energy Stone could extend his father’s life by almost 50 years. At an auction, it could easily sell for 200 to 300 million.

Second, it was safe. A private deal wouldn’t leak information. Attending an auction could expose the information, and enemies could find out about his father’s age.

Third, the other party was using half of their credit points to buy supplies. This was beneficial for his branch since it would boost his transaction quota, and he could exchange some items with points to offset the cost.

“Deal!” After a quick mental computation, the President of the Bounty Hunter Guild agreed.

Both sides felt that they were getting the better end of the deal. The Fat Boss could acquire rare materials or equipment and keep the transaction secret.

If the President of the Bounty Hunter Guild sold this information, it would affect his income. Though the price was slightly lower, the benefits were clear.

Wu Bing and his team were excited to hear about the billion-dollar deal. This kind of profit was an additional bonus from completing missions.

The distribution was proportional; for example, the discoverer like Yang Bo would get half the profit, the Captain would get 10%, and the rest would be divided equally among the others.

This meant Wu Bing’s group could get 10 million each, while the Fat Boss could earn 20 million (10% commission, split among the four, meaning 10 million+10 million). Yang Bo would get the full 50 million.

And that didn’t even account for the fact that Yang Bo had found more than one Energy Stone.

For now, the deal couldn’t be completed because there was no internet connection. But there was an offline transaction option that would automatically process once the network was restored. This technology had long been developed by financial institutions, since in the interstellar era, many places lacked internet, yet people still needed to make transactions.

After taking the Energy Stone, the President of the Bounty Hunter Guild belatedly realized that these people weren’t just watching the action outside but were collecting stones inside. They must have known about this in advance.

So who discovered it? It had to be the guy in the heavy-duty protective gear because the ones wearing Armor had been watching the commotion just now.

“If you have more good stuff like this, I have channels to sell them outside the Alliance. The price is even higher in the two other countries.”

“After all, who has more money than the elites of the two other countries?” The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild said over the channel.

“Looking forward to future cooperation!” The Fat Boss’s interest piqued upon hearing this. Compared to the Alliance, the elites in the other two countries were much wealthier and more extravagant.

In the Alliance, if politicians flaunted their wealth, the media and opposing politicians would attack them.

But in the other two countries, those nobles and royals openly flaunted their wealth, and people didn’t care. On the contrary, the populace saw the wealth of the royals as a source of national pride.

The Fat Boss didn’t want his family to know about these profits either.

“You guys carry on. That new warship isn’t part of the Alliance or the Anti-Government Fighters.” The President of the Bounty Hunter Guild didn’t linger greedily around the group.

Instead, he left holding the Energy Stone, tossing out one final comment on his way out.

“Boss!” Once the President of the Bounty Hunter Guild left, Wu Bing and the others showed some concern for the future.

“Finding Energy Stones is the priority. Even if other forces win, we can still use the Energy Stones to protect ourselves,” the Fat Boss reasoned. He didn’t think things were that simple. After all, this was Alliance territory; as long as the three Alliance warships didn’t get crippled immediately,

the other side would have to flee. This zone belonged to the Alliance, and if they sent a signal, reinforcements would surely arrive.

Even if the Anti-Government Fighters temporarily gained the upper hand, they wouldn’t dare linger. That would be suicidal.

“When we get back, we’ll have to investigate who issued this mission that put us in danger.” The Fat Boss spoke calmly, but Yang Bo felt there was more beneath the surface.

“Keep searching,” the Fat Boss ordered while a few others glanced at Yang Bo. Was this guy incredibly lucky or what?

Shrugging his shoulders, Yang Bo picked up a stone and smashed it against another larger stone.

A pile of collapsing rocks crashed down,

exposing a chicken egg-sized emerald-green Energy Stone right before everyone’s eyes.

    “***!” The group immediately cursed.
