Chapter 285: Execution
by xennovelZhou Rui and the others heard Yang Bo’s words and assumed he had other subordinates on this planet, so they didn’t argue or say anything else.
“I’m leaving now!” Yang Bo took the three addresses and left.
Yang Bo had checked the cleaner’s residence last night but found nothing unusual.
After nightfall, Yang Bo used his invisibility to leave the cleaner’s residence. He first returned to his villa and found an email from Zhou Rui.
The email basically told him not to go out for a few days. Yang Bo responded with an ‘OK’ and called Zhou Rui. Afterward, he used his invisibility again and went out.
Yang Bo arrived at the residence of one of the Red Earl’s men, located in a hotel. As for where this man was from and his purpose,
the Bounty Hunter Guild didn’t continue investigating. After all, digging further might alarm the target, making it better not to investigate.
This place was near the seaside, and it was hurricane season on March Planet—also the peak tourist season. Other planets didn’t have waves as big as these, crashing dozens of meters high. Many people liked the adrenaline of staying by the sea and watching the waves roll in.
“Fourth floor!” That man lived on the fourth floor, so Yang Bo went directly to the emergency passage, similar to escape routes on Earth.
However, in case of a fire here, rescue robots would usually be sent in first to handle any rescues, so this passage was reserved for them.
Arriving at the man’s room, the invisible Yang Bo pressed his ear to the wall. With his enhanced listening and passive Sound Wave Control ability, he began eavesdropping.
“Music?” Yang Bo heard faint music, very faint.
However, this was normal since the soundproofing of the room was excellent. You wouldn’t hear anything even if someone was having a conversation next door.
“There should be someone coming to make contact.” Yang Bo prepared to wait patiently. These people had come from the skyport and couldn’t carry anything with them. If they wanted to act, someone had to deliver items.
After waiting for an hour and a half, Yang Bo wasn’t anxious. Finally, a waiter arrived with a cart at the door.
The door opened. The man inside wore a bathrobe as if he had just taken a bath. The waiter pushed the cart inside, and Yang Bo followed closely behind.
“Sir, please enjoy.” The waiter was delivering food—a big table full of dishes on the cart.
“Thank you.” The young man responded politely and even took out his wristwatch to give a tip.
“Thank you, sir, thank you.” The waiter was obviously thrilled with the generous tip.
After the waiter left, the man pressed his ear to the door. Once the waiter had fully departed, he headed into the bedroom.
He changed into a formal suit, and it was clear the clothes were expensive.
Then, with elegant movements, he started eating. Every slice of steak was cut uniformly, and the tableware was placed in the same position after each use.
“Looks like he just got out of prison.” Yang Bo mentally mocked the man’s exaggerated behavior.
After finishing the large meal, the man called for someone to clear the dishes. This time, a female server came and even flirted with the young man… Of course, she was beautiful. Women in this world could change their appearance however they wished.
Outwardly, the young man smiled, but as soon as the server left, he cursed her with foul language and angrily stormed off to the bathroom, as if her flirting had somehow insulted him.
“You’re late.” While the man was showering, someone arrived. He had no choice but to open the door in his bathrobe. The visitor was a woman holding a bag, and the man greeted her with a sour tone.
“Take a look at the goods. It’s not easy getting these things at this time.” The woman said coolly.
The man opened the bag and saw several transparent bottles inside, containing colorful liquids. Just one glance and Yang Bo could tell these substances contained energy.
“Everything’s fine.” The young man carefully inspected before confirming.
“Good.” The woman said, turning on her heel and leaving.
Yang Bo seized the opportunity to leave as well, following the woman. She headed to the underground garage, where someone was waiting for her. The two got into an Flying Car and left.
Yang Bo promptly returned to the cleaner’s residence, then went out in his cleaner Camouflage to a nearby supermarket.
“My person noticed someone making contact with them.” Yang Bo provided the woman’s license plate number and described her appearance.
The entire Bounty Hunter Guild was on this task. All entries and exits at the residences of the three suspects were under surveillance. Anyone coming close to these suspects’ floors would be monitored.
“Now, I’ll head back and wait for other news.” Yang Bo planned to gather intel on the other two suspects. For now, Zhou Rui’s situation would stay as it was.
Yang Bo had a suspicion—what did the suspects obtain? Why didn’t Yang Bo ask earlier?
Because Yang Bo was currently posing as the knowledgeable Third Master. If the items had been simple and he asked about them, it would raise suspicion.
Still, Yang Bo had a way. Returning to the cleaner’s residence, he logged onto the Black Market and quickly found something with packaging matching what he’d seen earlier.
“Energy liquid.” Yang Bo looked at the colorful transparent bottles displayed on the Black Market.
This was similar to nuclear waste, a byproduct from energy factories. The only way to dispose of it was to throw it into a star or detonate it in space.
This stuff was highly dangerous, with excessive radiation. A person exposed to it would be dead in no time. Most importantly, it could be used to make anti-matter bombs.
“Damn.” Yang Bo realized these people were even crazier than he thought.
“This guy, buying these materials… could he be a bomb expert?” Yang Bo’s eyes lit up.
Posing as the cleaner again, Yang Bo went to the supermarket. Zhou Rui and the others noticed his quick return and sensed something was up. Yang Bo spoke up: “I just received news—they plan to hit hard this time. I’m going to take the first strike. After all, I still have quite a few former subordinates on this planet. Once I’m inside, notify the police to clean up.”
“Alright.” Zhou Rui wasn’t sure what intel the Third Master had received to act so urgently, but she agreed.
“I’ll handle this one first, then this one, and then this one.” Yang Bo pointed them out one by one.
Zhou Rui arranged for a new identity for Yang Bo, that of a hitman. However, that hitman was already dead.
As for how he died, Yang Bo didn’t ask.
After leaving the supermarket, Yang Bo first visited a bar. With the help of the Bounty Hunter Guild, he transformed into the appearance of the hitman.
He outwardly used the Camouflage Serum, but in reality, he didn’t use it. He kept the injection for himself and left the bar without being caught on any surveillance.
He arrived at the hotel and used sonic detection through the door to monitor the movements inside.
“Who is it?” There was more than one person inside. Someone approached the door and shouted through the intercom.
The next second, Yang Bo kicked the door. Having used Metal Superpower, Yang Bo already knew the door’s structure.
The kick skill came into play.
The young man inside had been angrily stomping toward the door, but before he could react, the heavy door flew at him. He didn’t even have time to react as the door smashed him right into the window. Despite the window being built to withstand hurricanes, it shattered.
“Bomb Expert +16!”
Yang Bo saw a woman tied up inside. She was the same waitress from before. She was naked, bound to the bed in a spread-eagle position. A cut had already been made across her chest.
Wearing a hood and mask, Yang Bo tossed a line at her: “I’ve never seen anyone so keen on death before.”
Then, he vanished before her eyes. Twenty seconds later, drone police arrived at the scene, and the woman tied to the bed was on the verge of collapse.
Two minutes later, real police arrived. They were shocked to see the scene, and one exclaimed, “This door has a massive footprint on it!”
The woman on the bed was utterly broken. Luckily, the cops quickly covered her with a sheet.
At that moment, another assault occurred. When the drone cops arrived at the scene, they found it identical to the previous one.
Back at the first crime scene, when the police discovered what was in the detection-proof bag, they freaked out.
These items were deadly upon contact.
The live officers on the scene immediately started evacuating people. Even the police fled, leaving the tied-up woman seemingly forgotten.
March Planet’s upper management broke into a cold sweat after receiving the information. Thankfully, someone had reported it—if the energy bomb had gone off, the consequences would have been disastrous.
March Planet quickly implemented a news blackout. No one would hear about this, unless they saw it themselves.
Elsewhere, the woman who had delivered the items was just getting out of her car when a police robot tackled her. The moment she hit the ground, the robot released a high-voltage electric current, knocking her out cold. The driver met the same fate as violent police robots swooped in to arrest them.
“Three bomb experts, very nice, all B-level experts too. Tsk tsk.” At this time, Yang Bo was happily lounging at the cleaner’s place. These three had all purchased different bomb materials through various channels. In one of the rooms, there were even components for an EMP bomb. It’s worth noting an EMP bomb detonated at close range could leave permanent damage due to electromagnetic radiation.
“Third Master.” Zhou Rui arrived with two others. Yang Bo shook his head—why did they need to bring two people every time? Look at this bald-headed guy.
“Thanks, Third Master. This operation went very smoothly. The officials are now willing to turn a blind eye to some of our dealings.” Zhou Rui was overjoyed. The Guild’s profits didn’t matter much; the key thing was their alignment with the authorities.
“And the officials confirmed they were indeed Red Earl’s people. Allegedly, one of them was preparing to kill a server and conduct some twisted purification ritual. If not for you, that server’s skin would have been peeled off by the end of it.” Zhou Rui’s hatred for the Red Earl’s people deepened—they were real scum, still believing in such nonsense in this day and age.
Thinking of the tied-up waitress, Yang Bo also found Red Earl’s people insufferable. What kind of lunatic feels insulted by a few flirtatious looks? Still, he had to admit the waitress had a perfect body… though inferior to Zhou Rui’s.
“This is what you deserve.” Yang Bo nodded. After leaving the bar earlier and switching back to the cleaner’s form, his previous clothes were discarded.
“Officials want to ask if you would protect some people, Third Master.” Zhou Rui spoke cautiously, glancing at Yang Bo.
“Heh, do you know what I used to do? And this person’s bounty isn’t small. If I killed him, would I be granted a title in a neighboring nation?” Yang Bo smiled calmly.
Zhou Rui’s whole body shivered in fear. The person with her hurriedly said, “Third Master, it’s just a suggestion. Besides, your wife is still planet-bound…”
“Let the past stay in the past. From now on, I’m just the Third Master. I don’t want my real identity exposed.” Yang Bo interrupted.
“We haven’t exposed your identity, Third Master,” Zhou Rui quickly explained.
“Enough, based on my intel, these are just pawns. More people will follow. The reason I’m focusing on Red Earl’s men is because they caused my current situation. Plus, I hope my former subordinates can live peaceful lives here.” Yang Bo looked truly emotional.
If the pirate leader had overheard this, he probably would have cursed Yang Bo out, calling him a vile, shameless scumbag—for killing his own brothers.
“You can leave now. We’ll continue working together, but don’t expose my identity. Otherwise, I’ll relocate to another planet.” Yang Bo waved them off, not wanting to say much.
Zhou Rui and the others had no choice but to leave. These people were skilled at hiding their tracks. And Zhou Rui did believe him. After all, the Third Master had gained no tangible benefit from this operation.
March Planet officials, aware that even greater threats would be arriving soon, raised the alert level another notch.
The next day, when Yang Bo went to work, the increased guards at the skyport were evident. Yang Bo was lightly searched, but since he had nothing to hide, he was allowed to work.
Nothing noteworthy happened that day. After finishing his shift, Yang Bo returned to the cleaner’s residence, deactivated his invisibility, and went straight home. There, he destroyed the unused Camouflage Serum from the previous day, then checked his wristwatch. Zhou Rui had sent another email, inquiring about his well-being. Yang Bo scheduled a reply for the next day.
“So, is there any vulnerability left in Wang Muxue’s plan?” Yang Bo thought about this issue back at the cleaner’s residence.
“The military!” Yang Bo quickly realized there was a major loophole. A newly promoted general would disrupt the power structure. With the general’s death, many people would stand to benefit.
Yang Bo stepped out onto the balcony. He had felt the energy waves coming from the Planetary Security System satellites—bright lights, functioning like massive searchlights. He could vaguely understand the system’s operations.
“Things seem off.” Yang Bo scratched his chin. It felt like something was wrong with the system.
“Should I notify Zhou Rui?”
“Better safe than sorry. If a general dies here, everyone might undergo strict scrutiny. No doubt they’ll want blood tests. I’d better give a heads-up.” Yang Bo decided to alert her.
“This person is terrifying. Their kick exceeded human comprehension.” On March Planet, a group of high-ranking officials were staring at the door returned from the hotel. The door, made from Warship Armor, had been kicked off its hinges, and the three victims had all died in the same way—slammed into the windows.
“Report! We’ve received critical intel.” At that moment, someone rushed in, holding a piece of paper.
Everyone felt a sense of unease. Paper reports…? Two updates completed!
