Chapter Index

Yang Bo came out. The Tiger-Faced King also received the news, but he did not dare to easily send people over.

Yang Bo left a psychological shadow on the Tiger-Faced King three times. The first time he lost the most advanced biological mecha, the second time the hunting party suffered heavy losses, and the third time, three of the Blood Bat’s subordinates were wiped out, and the Blood Bat was severely injured. Just like that, he lost one of his generals.

The Tiger-Faced King suspected that one of his subordinates might have defected to the Government Army, which wasn’t unheard of in history.

“Hold your ground. Pay close attention.” In the end, the Tiger-Faced King issued the order to remain cautious. Besides, Yang Bo was carrying more bombs this time than before.

To deal with a simple Yang Bo? Even a hundred of him wouldn’t be an issue. But a railgun from tens of thousands of kilometers in the sky? Unless an A+ level or higher expert with special abilities was involved, they’d be blasted to pieces in no time.

“Soon, soon!” The Tiger-Faced King looked up at the sky, though all he saw was stone. But in his mind, he could envision the railgun and fleet getting blasted into pieces from tens of thousands of kilometers away.

“By then, I’ll pay these scumbags back double. All of them.” The Tiger-Faced King clenched his fists tightly.

Yang Bo moved forward cautiously, his radar at full capacity, stopping often to check his surroundings.

He was afraid someone might ambush him, so he’d throw bombs while running away if needed.

At the base, they watched Yang Bo acting suspiciously and couldn’t help but feel curious about him.

Because of the situations Yang Bo had created before, except for the one near the lake, the base had gained a lot from the other two. The Blood Bat’s subordinates who were blown to bits were collected by the base for research. The base was now studying all kinds of things—mutant genes, mutant mecha fragments—and, if necessary, they could even cultivate identical people using these mutant genes.

But doing so was pointless since memories couldn’t be replicated unless they captured a living person…

Yang Bo suspected that railguns or something similar could exist in the tens of thousands of kilometers up in the sky, but he wasn’t worried. With his abilities, who knew what might happen? After walking for more than ten minutes, Yang Bo’s heart ached. Since he was entering the mountain area, he didn’t walk—he just turned on his Jetpack and leapt from one mountain peak to the next. Maintenance fees for the mecha were anything but cheap.

Not many would rush like that. Most people used external devices for flight, zooming right over to their destination in no time.

Those external devices required game currency, namely credits, didn’t they?

The cave was enormous, with a diameter of about twenty meters. It was said this used to be the nest of a giant group of mutant lizards, abandoned by the creatures long ago.

Coming out of the cave, there was a wide valley with barely any plants. It was said mutants had been trampling on the land for so many years that no plants could grow there anymore.

He checked the map. The official game team had already explored many regions here. With a resolute heart, Yang Bo walked in, confident the game’s developers wouldn’t screw them over.

The underground space was divided into several layers based on depth. From 100 to 300 meters deep was the first layer, 300 to 500 meters was the second layer, and from 500 to 700 meters was the third. It was said the deepest point was over ten thousand meters. Anything below the second layer was considered a danger zone, with the third layer deemed extremely dangerous.

This danger level was based on each player’s overall stats. Given Yang Bo’s current data, the official game team offered a suggestion.

“Only an idiot would go to the second layer,” Yang Bo muttered while carefully studying the map. He soon found the bat’s location marked on it.

This underground world was actually connected to some of the caves and mountain fissures that Yang Bo had visited last time. The official descriptions were vague, but they hinted that the entire planet’s underground tunnels might be interlinked.

“Damn, this broken place is interfering with radar signals.” Yang Bo felt puzzled. Why couldn’t the game developers seem to deal with this underground world effectively?

Upon entering, he realized the mecha’s radar had limited range and strength here. It worked fine in straight tunnels, but in the winding, up-and-down paths, the detection range was no more than a few dozen meters.

“Damn.” Yang Bo clearly saw a group of bats on his radar, but they flew a different path underneath him. He retraced his steps, went in circles a few times, and finally reached the right spot—only to find a gap barely wider than a meter where he had to pass through.

“Forget it.” Yang Bo grabbed a shockwave bomb and tossed it straight into the gap.

    Then he quickly ran!

Boom! A rush of airwaves blew through the tunnel, accompanied by an ear-splitting explosion.

    Sonic Control +1!

    Sonic Control +1!

    Camouflage +1!

A series of messages flashed through Yang Bo’s mind. Upon closer inspection, he even gained a few extra camouflage points? Yang Bo looked carefully at his radar just now and saw a group of cave lizards, creatures about half a meter long spread throughout the underground space.

“This ability is awesome.” Yang Bo was excited about his Camouflage skill. Now, he’d gained the ability to alter his muscles. Would it let him change his bones or height with further improvement?

Of course, the greatest use of Camouflage was seeing through other people’s Camouflages. In this high-tech era, Yang Bo felt this skill might be the most valuable one.

However, overall, Yang Bo felt like his efforts weren’t worth it yet. Sonic Control only increased by less than a thousand points, and shockwave bombs weren’t cheap. Once used, all the remaining bats in the area would scatter.

“Looks like setting traps is still the best option,” Yang Bo concluded. He needed to lure them again.

After circling the area, Yang Bo picked a spot. He exited the cave, planning to find a large creature, kill it, and drag it in. Once a batch was killed off, it would be like fishing. Sustainable.

With a single heavy hit, Yang Bo killed a two-meter-tall cow using his plasma sword. He didn’t even use all his strength. Still, it was just a cow, though smaller than two meters high. His mecha was eight meters tall, and the sword was five meters long.

    Charge +1!

Yang Bo didn’t expect to gain this ability after killing the cow.

“Doesn’t matter, let’s just get it done.” Regarding the cows, Yang Bo decided to kill the bulls but would spare the cows. There were plenty of cows here, but he wasn’t sure specifically what type they were. They definitely weren’t water buffalo or yellow cattle since they were more than two meters tall, with three horns on their heads that could be lowered like giant steel forks.

Charge, Intermediate (11/100). He killed eleven of them just to push his skill to the intermediate level.

“This reaction is intense.” Yang Bo felt like his genes were burning, drawing out strength from within his body.

He quickly logged out of the game to drink some milk and recharge himself.

Half an hour later, Yang Bo was dumbfounded. He’d burned through 50% of his energy! And this was after replacing his battery with a new one with a capacity of fifty thousand kilowatt-hours.

“Charge relies on your own strength to activate this skill, which means this skill increases constitution?” Yang Bo came up with a daring hypothesis.

“Ten thousand cows… damn, I wonder if there are that many cows on this planet, and don’t forget the massive dangerous areas.”

“No, I need to raise cows!” Yang Bo quickly logged back into the game.

Someone might ask, how do you raise wild cows? Simple. Kill off all their natural predators. At least within a large area, create a safe, comfortable environment for them.

“Since cows can increase constitution, what about other large animals?” Yang Bo’s eyes sparkled as he stared at the radar.
