Chapter Index

Yang Bo felt like he couldn’t handle it anymore. So many cows, would the increased physical strength make him explode?

These cows gradually gathered together, carefully looking down into the pit. The plants below weren’t short, and the grass on the ground had already been eaten.

“They must be preparing to move elsewhere. Could these cows be one of the food sources for the mutants?” Yang Bo speculated.

More than twenty mutants were now carrying Mecha parts. Each one was carrying heavy components, the lightest weighing at least a few tons.

Yang Bo wasn’t afraid of mutants. These ones, at best, only deserved to roam underground. If any of them dared show themselves, they’d regret it. As some of the cows entered a large passage on the other side of the pit, Yang Bo couldn’t hold back anymore.

Placing the Mecha button aside, Yang Bo got ready to take a gamble. Last time, he used electricity to recover, but this time he’d use the identical Energy Stone from the Mecha space button. One path to heaven, one to hell! The situation here wasn’t looking great, and opportunities like this didn’t come often.

Yang Bo, truth be told, still had a small man’s mentality. Big shots generally stayed calm and didn’t take many risks.

But small guys? When they get a rush of adrenaline, they can do anything. Small guys don’t have much choice—they just go for broke!

Suddenly, the Jetpack exploded with force. Yang Bo’s Mecha shot out from halfway up the mountain. If it weren’t for his Dynamic Vision, the Mecha moved so fast that a regular person wouldn’t even be able to see the scene ahead.

The roar of the Jetpack startled the mutants. Looking back, they saw four Hydrogen Bombs flying toward them.

“Roar!” A mutant, standing three meters tall, swung a Mecha arm at one of the bombs, while the others threw their Mecha parts.

Boom! The first Hydrogen Bomb exploded the moment it touched the Mecha arm.

A massive shockwave erupted, sending a dozen mutants that had just leaped into the air flying backward in the blast.

At that moment, the remaining three Hydrogen Bombs were already falling into the herd of cows.

Boom! Boom! Boom! This was the mutants’ mistake—Yang Bo’s target had always been the cows in the pit.

    Charge +1!

    Charge +1!…

Yang Bo grabbed the Mecha space button with his right hand. The ferocious energy from the Energy Stone surged into him, making his blood feel like it was boiling.

With his left hand, he suddenly pushed the control stick, soaring upwards into the sky, taunting as he yelled, “Idiots, you bunch of bastards!”

“Roar!” Mutants, who had some animal genes, hated being called bastards more than anything. Several of them leaped into the air.

However, they overlooked one thing—the powerful shockwave caused by the four Hydrogen Bombs had blown the fog out from the pit.

The energy shockwave from the Mini Hydrogen Bomb blast had been captured by the Orbital Laser Cannon thousands of kilometers high in the sky. And just as the mutants took off.

The Orbital Laser Cannon emitted blinding beams of light. Hugging the stone wall of the pit, Yang Bo shivered as thick laser beams, as wide as water barrels, fired down. This was the second time Yang Bo had witnessed this weapon in action—the first had blown him apart.

“Amazing.” The High-Frequency Laser Gun he saw at the dome concert was nothing compared to this water-barrel-sized laser.

The mutants were instantly reduced to ashes.

In reality, Yang Bo was drenched in sweat. The violent energy inside him moments ago had paralyzed him, even if just for a few seconds.

Now, Yang Bo felt like a volcano was erupting inside him, containing a terrifying power.

Mecha Repair +16! Mecha Repair +16!

    Mecha Repair +32!

    Mecha Repair +8!

    ………

Yang Bo was dumbfounded. Do these mutants know how to repair Mecha? “Or could it be that their superpowers are something I can’t use? Like when I killed the Red Earl’s people at the dome concert, there’s no way those guys didn’t have powers, yet I only acquired Warship Piloting and Warship Repair. Does it mean superpowers depend on individual characteristics?” Yang Bo pondered and came up with a possible guess, though he wasn’t sure if it was accurate. After all, his abilities were quite bizarre.

    “Roar!”

“Roar!” Many mutants were still roaring at Yang Bo from the caves on the other side of the pit, but none dared to come out.

At that moment, several airborne ground-combat jets roared into position, firing missile after missile at the roaring mutants. Frightened, they scrambled to flee.

Yang Bo sighed in relief as the jets arrived. He quickly went down to gather loot.

The mutants had disassembled the Mecha. Their parts weren’t worth much, but the Mecha’s close-combat weapons were probably valuable. Unfortunately, some had been hit by the laser cannons.

The officers at Base 16 were speechless. Every time this Razor Mecha went out, it caused trouble. This time, the Orbital Cannon killed more than thirty mutants, including one suspected leader who lasted 0.5 seconds under the orbital laser. The missiles also destroyed a mutant underground tunnel.

    Tracking +8!

    Tracking +4!

    Camouflage +1!

    Camouflage +1!

    Sonic Control +1!

    ……………

Yang Bo watched as the combat jets continued bombing the underground tunnel where the mutants had been taunting earlier. The missiles penetrated deep into the underground space, causing sections of the tunnel to collapse.

“How can they credit all of this to me? Could it be because the initial impact from the hydrogen bombs caused the first wave of damage?” Yang Bo carried several Mecha weapons as he flew out of the pit, realizing it was at least two thousand meters deep. The mist that usually swirled around had concealed its true depth.

Letting the Mecha head back to base on its own, Yang Bo watched it depart. The Mecha could travel independently, as long as nothing interfered.

Somewhere underground, the Tiger-Faced King shuddered, sensing the tremors from the surface.

“Could this bastard be the calamity that people spoke of from ancient times?”

“You dog bastard, come here…” The Tiger-Faced King was about to withdraw the bounty but had a sudden thought. If this guy was the calamity, perhaps he could use him to cause trouble for his hated neighbors.

“Summon them. Issue the bounty. Whoever kills this bastard—I’ll reward them with a Fire Energy Stone mine. Anyone.” The Tiger-Faced King issued the order. This calamity had caused him to lose two generals. It had to be something special. Some people had already been eyeing his Energy Stone mine… heh heh.

“What? Mecha weapons aren’t worth much?” Yang Bo thought he had scored some loot, only to find they were worthless.

“Yes, dear player. Each set of Mecha weapons is part of an integrated system. Unless you custom-design a Mecha for these weapons, they’re practically useless,” came the reply, leaving Yang Bo speechless.

    “What about ranged weapons?”

“Also no good. Only the Mecha they were designed for can use the activated weapons. Other Mechas can’t use them.”

“How embarrassing!” Yang Bo thought the forum people were probably going to give him another nickname.
