Chapter 61: Iron Bull
by xennovelYang Bo was still loaded with bombs. After all, he hadn’t used the ones from last time. He thought about it and brought along the mecha weapon he picked up last time, and casually glanced at the Silver Armored Rhino, this fool.
“Awesome!” This time, Yang Bo directly bought a mecha flight attachment, set the destination, and placed it on the base’s dedicated platform—the electromagnetic catapult area. The mecha was launched in an instant, and as the flight attachment activated, the mecha shot off with a swoosh, disappearing instantly.
“Bastard!”
“That damn pervert!”
“Ahhhh!!” The eight high-level mecha players were dumbfounded, watching the Razor Mecha take off. They were all going crazy.
“Leader.”
“Leader?”
The others were shocked to find that their leader no longer responded…
Yang Bo directly arrived at the Silver Armored Rhino’s territory. It was a valley with a lake covering several hundred acres. This was where the Silver Armored Rhino resided.
Yang Bo landed on the mountain peak, and his mecha issued a warning sound. Following the radar, he saw the Silver Armored Rhino at a cave entrance, with only half its head exposed.
“Iron Bull.” (If you don’t like it, suggest another name.) Yang Bo thought this Silver Armored Rhino looked a lot like an Iron Bull—smart, but not always, sometimes a bit dense.
After shouting, Yang Bo removed the mecha flight attachment. This thing was usually discarded after being used.
He then leaped down to within a few hundred meters of the Silver Armored Rhino and threw the flight attachment at it.
The Silver Armored Rhino eyed Yang Bo’s mecha cautiously. As soon as it saw the flight attachment land in front of it, it gulped it down in one bite and then devoured it ravenously.
“Tsk tsk.” Yang Bo was amazed. The material of the flight attachment wasn’t common.
“Here it comes.” Yang Bo shouted again and then threw a mecha weapon.
The mecha weapon was made of even better material, with more rare metals. Yang Bo guessed that on this planet, the Silver Armored Rhino only had a chance to eat some pure metal from scrapped mechas. Otherwise, it was nearly impossible to find any, let alone some metals that didn’t even exist on this planet.
“I’m off.” Yang Bo wasn’t sure why, but he felt like he clicked with this Silver Armored Rhino. It definitely wasn’t that he thought the thing was dumb and easy to manipulate. No, definitely not.
Today, using the flight attachment, Yang Bo caught two groups off guard. One was a team of eight high-level mechas, and the other was the Tiger-Faced King.
The Tiger-Faced King had gone to visit the neighboring house. Seeing the neighbor wasn’t home, it treated the place as its own. Later, when he found out Yang Bo had killed the neighbor, he raided the place and replenished his previous losses in one go.
“What are you guys doing? Why haven’t you kept an eye on this walking disaster?”
“If you screw up again next time, I’ll turn you all into jerky.”
“A bunch of useless fools! Damn it, I’ve already raised the bounty to two energy mines.”
The Tiger-Faced King cursed at his subordinates, wishing he could cook them on the spot…
“Hurry up and find out what this walking disaster likes. We still have several more neighbors.”
This time, Yang Bo found the Bat Cave. Looking at the countless bats hanging densely from the cave ceiling, he felt a great sense of satisfaction.
He placed a mini hydrogen bomb deep inside the cave, then proceeded to place another one at the entrance.
The ground shook slightly—this was from the mini hydrogen bomb deep in the cave. Then, a few seconds later, the one at the entrance went off, collapsing the cave entrance.
Sonic Control +1!
Sonic Control +1!
There were countless bats, mixed with plenty of Dynamic Vision.
“Should I check out the underground world and get some powerful bombs to collapse an entire layer? That way, I could get even more.” Yang Bo was pondering.
Just at that moment, the radar alarm sounded. Yang Bo quickly activated the Jetpack and flew into the air.
Yang Bo was stunned when he saw it. The Silver Armored Rhino appeared in the direction of the radar warning. Its body was glowing silver, emerging from the cave with only half its head sticking out, while dust still billowed from the cave.
But that wasn’t the important part. At its feet lay a mutant, twitching, while the Silver Armored Rhino’s small eyes were fixed on Yang Bo.
“Iron Bull?” Yang Bo tentatively called out, his voice transmitted through the mecha.
The Silver Armored Rhino kicked the mutant out of the cave with one stomp. Shaking its head, it disappeared, and after it vanished, the cave entrance collapsed.
Yang Bo was stunned, and so were the people back at the base watching all this. What the…!
The next second, Yang Bo blacked out, feeling really satisfied with Iron Bull’s reaction.
“I really shouldn’t be cutting off my own money paths.” Yang Bo was frustrated. He would never provoke a mutant unless he knew its superpower. If the opponent’s ability didn’t suit his own, acquiring a useless power would be worse than exchanging it for game coins.
“How did that mecha operator do it?”
“Should we give it a try?”
“The Razor Mecha was made from the wreckage of eight high-level mechas. Are you sure you want to try? Do you know how much those eight high-level mechas are worth compared to the bounty?” In Base 16’s control hall, after everyone had been stunned, they began discussing the situation. However, with just one word from the commander, they all knew their ideas were impractical.
After visiting several places, Yang Bo finally upgraded Sonic Control to the Grandmaster level.
Sonic Control: Grandmaster (Sonic Attack amplification +200%, Sonic Detection amplification +200%, Sonic Interference and Jamming amplification +200%)
Upon seeing the skill, Yang Bo’s eyes gleamed. He had already mastered Sonic Attack and Detection, but he hadn’t yet grasped the Sonic Interference and Jamming ability.
“Earned myself a quick 800,000 game coins.” Exiting the game, Yang Bo felt quite pleased. That mutant’s capture was worth 800,000, though admittedly the price of the mecha weapons he’d fed the Silver Armored Rhino exceeded that tenfold. But those were scrap he picked up anyway.
Yang Bo then purchased a speaker and a recording device online. Setting them at a specific distance apart, he tried to figure out the Sonic Interference and Jamming skill.
Focusing on the sound waves emanating from the speaker, gradually, these invisible sound waves became like water in Yang Bo’s perception, filling the entire room.
On instinct, Yang Bo tried to whistle, but he failed to make a sound. However, he could sense an invisible disturbance affecting both the recording device and the speaker.
He quickly shut off the speaker and turned on the recording device.
Zzzz! Sure enough, a part of the recording had been interfered with. The beautiful music was gone, and Yang Bo was so excited he nearly jumped.
“If I can interfere, can I simulate or even alter it?” Yang Bo’s eyes lit up. Of course, to simulate or alter someone else’s sound wave, you would first need to know their frequency.
“In fact, I can use sound waves like radar. Everyone’s walking and speaking creates a unique sound profile—even their heartbeat is different. Once I have this mastered, no matter how someone tries to camouflage themselves, I’ll be able to identify them instantly, without the need to actively probe them.” Yang Bo realized that without even using Sonic Detection, his passive hearing range had greatly increased, allowing him to hear movements upstairs.
