Chapter Index

Yang Bo had this idea mainly because of the current environment. If he used active skills now, they might get detected, but his passive ability to collect was much safer.

However, this passive ability didn’t seem particularly useful in the current situation, so Yang Bo merely gave it a try before continuing to experiment with the active attack capabilities of the Sound Wave.

He had already figured out a method for using Sound Wave to attack through objects, but the testing was slow. It involved calculating the distance, material, and using both hands to snap his fingers at the same time to make the sound waves converge at the right spot, creating an impact.

“This thing is way too complicated.” After experimenting for a while, Yang Bo’s head began to buzz. It required extensive calculations, starting with the distance to the target and the material in between. Then, both hands’ sound waves had to converge precisely, factoring in the type of medium the sound was traveling through.

After testing the through-object attack of Sound Wave, Yang Bo started experimenting with Metal Superpower.

Yang Bo discovered that turning his skin into metal was the most basic application of Metal Superpower. By holding the door handle, he could clearly sense the metal structure inside the lock and control it.

This meant he could either weld the lock shut or easily open the door.

“This is a king’s move!” A flood of potential uses filled Yang Bo’s mind. Wherever there was metal, if his ability reached its peak, he would be unstoppable.

You might have the best Mecha, but with a simple hand gesture, he could manipulate the metal structure, binding it in place.

Your Drone Fighter may be advanced, but if he changed the structure of your engine, could you still fly? He picked up a spoon and, within his hand, it transformed into a fork and then into a shovel, finally becoming a miniature pan.

Starting with these simple controls, he began testing more complex tasks. The upper limit of this power was beyond Yang Bo’s imagination.

    ——————————————————————————

The Mecha Game Forum was abuzz. A well-known animal protection organization had livestreamed a trap to kill Bird Slasher, but he ended up surviving while they suffered heavy losses.

This sparked a heated debate. One side argued that trapping other players in the game was unethical and even worse than Bird Slasher.

The other side insisted that Bird Slasher was a sicko, a piece of trash with no real-world value, only capable of killing small animals, which were so cute.

The forum devolved into a war of words. The Mecha Game already had a bad reputation, and many players figured they could just abandon their ruined Mecha after switching IPs.

However, once an IP address was blacklisted, the next resident who tried to play would discover the issue and report it to customer service.

In this society, tracing the user was easy. As a result, many people received court notices, forcing them to compensate for their mecha losses.

This game was like an arcade machine that many people could play. The difference was that when a Mecha broke, it required repairs.

As for those with an IP, they could log in from other locations by remembering their password.

Of course, if you didn’t want your Mecha, you could simply pass the game review and receive a new one.

But if people knew this game could be remotely controlled, they’d be even more outraged because it was like double-dipping. The shamelessness… sigh.

Some had suspected this for a while, but the officials always insisted, “We guarantee absolute realism.”

The more the arguments raged, the more people wanted to join in. The team had started with only eight advanced mechas, but now, it had ballooned to twenty members. Their mission was to kill Bird Slasher, whom they viewed as a pervert, since no one else in the game had deliberately slaughtered small animals. This group called themselves the ‘Justice Gang.’

However, some were stirred into defiance: ‘Is it so forbidden to kill? In reality, we’re forced to comply, but in a game? You still dare to whine about that?’

Then, a new group arrived at Base 16, piloting advanced Mechas equipped with laser guns, hunting small animals like birds and rats.

This group named themselves ‘Bird Slasher Gang.’

After practicing Metal Superpower for a bit, Yang Bo was ready to reenter the game. After all, getting paid to play games was great.

As soon as he logged into the forum, Yang Bo’s face darkened. He silently cursed these fools, wondering why they were targeting him. Was it against the rules to kill small animals in the game?

“If I hadn’t run out of Mini Hydrogen Bombs and Shockwave Bombs, I would’ve already switched IPs.” Yang Bo gritted his teeth. These guys really wanted to trap him? Fine, he needed advanced mechas and iron bulls anyway, so this could work out.

Yang Bo logged into the game. This time, he traveled on foot since he was preparing to set some traps.

Last time, there were mutants lurking underwater in the spot where he had bombed some fish, so he dared not go there again. Now, people wanted to ambush him. Heh, couldn’t they serve as perfect scapegoats? As long as he played it right, he’d let these fools clash with the mutants.

So this time, Yang Bo controlled his Mecha to walk, moving slowly since flying too fast would make it hard for others to follow.

As Yang Bo walked, the Justice Gang trailed him using a high-altitude drone, trying to guess his destination so they could plan accordingly.

This wealthy group had purchased plenty of intel, but they still didn’t know where Yang Bo was headed, so they hadn’t taken any action yet.

Meanwhile, the Bird Slasher Gang also noticed Yang Bo but chose not to follow. In truth, they looked down on him—his third-generation Mecha was essentially a beginner’s model, and they couldn’t help but imagine how miserable his real life must be.

The Bird Slasher Gang was focused on the Justice Gang, so they remained inactive since the Justice Gang had yet to make a move.

Yang Bo, trampling over mice and birds along the way, was having the time of his life.

“What’s the point of this Flight skill? Logically speaking, I shouldn’t be able to fly either, even though both I and birds are carbon-based lifeforms.” Yang Bo never considered that he might actually be able to fly, but he was still curious about this Flight skill.

“Also, the information I’m getting is so limited. As an F-class citizen, I receive incomplete data, which makes everything seem contradictory.” Yang Bo was aware that there was much he still didn’t know.

Since he lacked access to information, there was no chance the Fat Boss would tell him everything. What you didn’t know was priceless.

Arriving at the lake, Yang Bo wasn’t planning on bombing fish again, considering his Swimming skill was already maxed out, but sometimes, you just had to do something on purpose.

“Haha, the disaster star is heading back to the lake! I wonder if our neighbors know?” The Tiger-Faced King, reclining in his lair, laughed uproariously as he watched the virtual image of the Razor Mecha by the lake.

“My King, our neighbors are quite strong. Could they destroy the Razor Mecha?” one of the Tiger-Faced King’s subordinates asked, worried.

“No, they won’t. I have intel that forty advanced mechas have been dispatched from the human base heading straight for the disaster star. It looks like the same group that lured the Silver Armored Rhinos last time,” replied the Tiger-Faced King, waving his hand as the virtual image displayed a swarm of advanced mechas taking flight.
