Chapter Index

Yang Bo muttered under his breath, his eyes locked on the radar. It showed activity traces of fish moving underwater.

Though he had no idea how the last fish bombing happened, the only way to sneak up on him in this area was underwater.

Even though the mutant didn’t show up on radar last time, the fish distribution indicated that someone was lurking below. The fish’s sensitivity is much better than the radar.

Sure enough, Yang Bo quickly noticed a change in the fish. The blood and flesh from the last blast had drawn in quite a few fish. They had scattered when they arrived earlier, but now some were quickly retreating, leaving an empty space.

What’s that? Something’s definitely up. The target was getting closer.

At that moment, Yang Bo saw mechas on the radar behind him. He immediately flew to the other side of the river, where the river flowed into the lake.

After landing, Yang Bo pulled out two mini hydrogen bombs. He saw a dozen advanced mechas land right where he had stood, though a few were missing.

“Pervert! You sick pervert!” A flamboyant voice suddenly emanated from a red-hot mecha, like a ball of fire, pointing its mecha finger at him and insulting him.

Yang Bo swung the mini hydrogen bombs in his hands before hooking them onto his belt and flipping the mecha the bird!

    “Pervert!”

    “Scumbag!”

    “Beast!”

“Bastard!” The mechas joined in cursing him together.

At that moment, another wave of mechas appeared. Yang Bo activated his mecha’s Jetpack and flew into the sky.

Then he dived, pulling the pins on the bombs. Around 100 meters from the water’s surface, his mecha turned, and the two hydrogen bombs dropped rapidly into the lake.

    “Haha!”

    “Haha, that’s awesome!”

“Dude, you’re the man! Blow it up!” Bird Slasher’s guys were laughing loudly over the mecha channel as they witnessed the scene.

Boom! Boom! The two mini hydrogen bombs went off underwater, and Yang Bo felt something a little different.

“Just now, controlling the mecha flight felt so smooth. Could it be the flight skill making a difference?” Yang Bo had a thought.

Justice Gang was live-streaming it all, and countless viewers watching Yang Bo blow up fish with hydrogen bombs had the first thought: he’s insane.

“What the hell? This guy’s nuts! Using hydrogen bombs to catch fish? Doesn’t he care about game currency?”

“Yeah, I think he’s crazy as well.”

    “Definitely a psycho.”

“For sure. Maybe he’s some rich celebrity blowing off steam in the game. I’ve heard some celebs are really twisted.”

    “Tsk, something’s off…”

But in the next second, they realized something was wrong. In the water waves created by the hydrogen bomb blast, more than a dozen figures were rushing straight toward the Justice Gang.

    “Mutants!”

    “Advanced mutants!”

The viewers were stunned. How did mutants suddenly show up?

“Holy crap! Those are mutants from the danger zone!” Bird Slasher Gang, who was just there for some fun, was caught off guard by the sudden plot twist.

“Big bro, what do we do?”

“We can’t shoot! They’re tangled with the Justice Gang!”

“Big bro’s right. Let’s fly higher!”

“Exactly, we’re not long-range snipers anyway.” The Bird Slasher’s people, carrying laser cannons, claimed they weren’t long-range pros.

    “Yeah, up we go!”

Soon, they were all flying higher to record the spectacle.

Justice Gang quickly lost three advanced mechas. The mutants’ arms had morphed into large scythe-like blades, shining with a green light. These creatures were over two meters tall.

“Big bro, Justice Gang’s just a bunch of kids. They lost three mechas in the blink of an eye. Tsk tsk.”

“Haha, those idiots even sent advanced mechas to lure mutants, only to get wrecked!” The mecha channel in the sky was buzzing with excitement.

The mutants moved swiftly, leaping out of the water. The strongest three jumped directly onto three advanced mechas. The mutant on the red mecha flashed its scythe-like arm, piercing through the mecha cockpit and decapitating it.

The mecha’s head, a highly fortified metallic structure loaded with equipment, was sliced clean off by the mutant.

These were the same mechas that had just insulted Yang Bo, unaware that a dozen mutants would suddenly erupt out of nowhere. The alarms inside the cockpits were blaring.

Some players, reacting instinctively, pushed the control sticks, causing their mechas to either fly up or retreat, narrowly escaping death.

The others weren’t so lucky, as two or three mutants leaped onto their mechas and slaughtered them in an instant.

Then, in the next moment, the mutants dove back into the water and vanished.

The blast from the hydrogen bombs had sent waves several meters high crashing toward the lakeshore.

Yang Bo didn’t engage the mutants. Firstly, he wasn’t confident. They were too fast.

Secondly, to him, obvious enemies weren’t a threat. Plus, killing mutants might only earn him some useless skills. It was better to provoke them and let them mess with others.

Yang Bo recorded the insults thrown at him, just in case he met any of them in real life. If they turned out to be decent people in reality, fine. But if they were even a little bad, he’d make sure they met Bird Slasher’s wrath…

What puzzled Yang Bo even more was that this group seemed divided into two parts. The group flying hundreds of meters up were carrying laser guns and watching below, refusing to get involved.

“Dude, that was sick!” One of the mechas, looked like a seventh or eighth generation model, broadcast their voice, giving Yang Bo a thumbs up.

Yang Bo was somewhat taken aback. What were they up to?

    “Ah!!! Shameless! Despicable! Bastard!”

Justice Gang was losing it. They had just lost 11 advanced mechas, all blown up by mutants.

    “Serves them right.”

“Exactly, a bunch of idiots. Always whining, even in a game.”

    “For sure!”

“Brothers, let’s log off and hit the forums. Justice Gang’s catastrophe will really go viral.”

Yang Bo watched as the mechas carrying laser guns and cannons flew away.

“You bastard! Just wait, you’ll get yours!” The group that had come first spat out the threat before leaving too.

Yang Bo shrugged at the wrecked mechas on the ground. Iron Bull’s food supply was secured.

Yang Bo spent 100,000 game coins to rent a flying transport to haul the 11 destroyed mechas to the Silver Armored Rhino’s territory.

The base personnel were at a loss for words. The cost of a flying transport was determined by the danger zone. Yang Bo’s route covered far distance, but most of it was in a safe area, keeping the cost relatively low.

“Commander, the analysis is done. Based on the video footage, these mutants are most likely from the mysterious Black Blade Tribe,” someone at the base reported.

“Black Blade Tribe? Didn’t think they lived underwater. So how did the Razor Mecha know about them?” The base commander frowned. Could it all just be a coincidence?

“Commander, do you think there’s a chance that the Razor Mecha pilot is a veteran? Some of our previous soldiers retired here. Even though we took measures to erase their memories, you know how it goes, nothing’s foolproof.” Someone chimed in.

“Lately, we haven’t been able to contact the fleet commander.” The base commander glanced toward the stars, hesitating.

Yang Bo dumped the mecha wreckage at Iron Bull’s cave entrance. Iron Bull’s small eyes stared in disbelief at the pile of mecha as tall as a small mountain.

After the transport flew away, Yang Bo called out, “Iron Bull, I’m here! What do you think of these?”

Iron Bull immediately understood once Yang Bo called, retreating into his cave. Yang Bo wondered to himself, “What kind of goodies will Iron Bull give me this time?”
