Chapter Index

    Beep! Beep beep!

The Mecha’s alarm blared loudly, so Yang Bo simply turned it off.

A group of mutants, at least dozens of them, appeared. These guys were equipped with energy weapons and Energy Suit, each standing over two meters tall. Their faces looked somewhat ape-like.

Yang Bo didn’t dare move. The radar showed that these beings were extremely dangerous, extremely dangerous, extremely dangerous.

The energy weapons cut through his Mecha like it was tofu.

In the distance, a man wearing golden Energy Suit appeared. His face looked oddly like a tiger’s?

The surrounding mutants called out something in unison. Yang Bo assumed it was in their own unique language.

“Disaster Star, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” While Yang Bo was still dumbfounded about how they were going to deal with him, the tiger-faced mutant, nearly three meters tall, approached. Though he didn’t carry any energy weapons, a pair of golden gloves stood out prominently.

“You can speak interstellar language?” Hearing the shout, Yang Bo quickly typed out a message and sent it. Since he had Sonic Control abilities, he naturally didn’t want to use his own voice.

Yang Bo used the voice module of the Justice Gang’s leader. Hehe…! “Haha, why wouldn’t I? We’re interstellar citizens as well.” The Tiger-Faced King looked at the eight-meter-tall third-generation Mecha. To him, it was just a pile of junk.

Yang Bo continued typing: “Aren’t you going to kill me?”

“It’s just a pile of useless Mecha. Haha, I’ll let it slide. Anyway, no need to say more. I’ll send someone to return you to the surface soon.” The Tiger-Faced King almost wanted to say, ‘Isn’t this what you play in games?’ but he stopped himself. This Disaster Star really was amusing.

Besides, the Tiger-Faced King found Yang Bo interesting. Since Yang Bo wasn’t a real person, smashing his Mecha was just breaking junk. It wasn’t worth his effort, so he decided to send this guy out to wreak more havoc on his neighbors.

This time, another neighbor of his was going to have bad luck. Every time Yang Bo showed up, his neighbors suffered.

“Eh? Why?” Yang Bo kept typing.

“There’s no reason. I just like it! Haha, haha! Jin Gang, take this guy outside.” The Tiger-Faced King was gleeful at the thought of his neighbor soon going hungry, lacking mining resources, and losing people.

As it turned out, even in the underground world, there were territories. The mutants kept various creatures, like cave lizards, as livestock. Why did cave lizards multiply so rapidly without any natural predators in the food chain? It’s because the mutants eliminated the predators. Every so often, the mutants would use special methods to summon these cave lizards to a central location for food storage.

They would clear out a whole area at once. Usually, they would do so every few years. The Tiger-Faced King was already prepping for action. In the mutant tribe’s system, if a tribe ran out of food, internal strife would soon follow.

A massive guy, around two and a half meters tall, wielded two long machetes. He gestured toward a certain spot with one of them.

Yang Bo was dumbstruck, wondering what the heck was happening.

“Disaster Star?” Yang Bo was puzzled. Why call him that? And why did they let him go? Half an hour later, Yang Bo stood under the sunlight, looking back at the cave. What… just happened?

    “Bird Slasher is back.”

    “Bird Slasher is back.”

“WTF!” Yang Bo controlled his Mecha and returned to base. During repairs, his heart ached terribly, while the forums were in an uproar.

Both the Justice Gang and the Bird Slasher Gang were calling for Yang Bo’s head. ‘Why didn’t you just die? Why didn’t you die…?’

Yang Bo first checked the forums to see if the Justice Gang had been tricked.

“Whoa.” Yang Bo watched the most exciting clip, which was less than ten minutes long. It showed him escaping, the Justice Gang encountering the mutants, killing more than a dozen, and then getting their Mecha wiped out.

The main thing on the forums now was people enjoying the spectacle, saying things like, ‘We need more streams like this—it’s so exciting! Those mutants are really strong!’

“Tsk tsk, those guys were the same ones I lured to the lake before. Last time, the Justice Gang lost almost half their forces. This time, they were completely wiped out. Hahaha, just as planned.” Yang Bo logged off the game, in a great mood.

He silently recited his skills and his eyes lit up. There were two major changes.

Camouflage: Grandmaster. (Able to replicate the biological sample of a target. Impossible to differentiate from real biological traits, but cannot imitate the target’s memory or abilities.)

“Hahaha!” Yang Bo almost burst out laughing. So, as long as he got someone’s biological sample, he could transform into them. He could match them genetically but wouldn’t be able to replicate their memories or skills.

    “What if it’s a woman’s sample…? No, no! Gross.”

He kept reading. He had acquired a new skill: Bio Summon: Advanced. (162/1000)

“Now I have three Grandmaster-level skills: Swimming, Sonic Control, and Camouflage.”

    “The future looks bright.”

Yang Bo recharged himself. He had to do it slowly now, otherwise his batteries might self-ignite.

“I need to get some homogenous energy stones. With those, I can travel freely. But how do I make them?”

Yang Bo went for a stroll, wanting to explore this planet a bit more. Every day, there were traces of lasers hitting its surface.

In fact, many people with superpowers hadn’t registered with the government. Registration was voluntary, and only welfare residents like Yang Bo had mandatory medical exams. Regular citizens didn’t have to undergo forced check-ups.

“Huh?” Yang Bo noticed a feather on the ground and hesitated. Could this be a biological sample?

However, since this was a public area, he didn’t pick it up, feeling a bit uncertain.

Back home, Yang Bo started looking online for accessories, mainly to see if any were made from animal materials. Then he smacked his forehead. What about meat he had bought?

“What a shame.” After getting some meat, Yang Bo tested it. No reaction; he couldn’t Camouflage himself using it.

What Yang Bo didn’t know was that the meat he bought had been processed. The cells were no longer active, so even the most advanced tech couldn’t clone them.

After that, Yang Bo didn’t enter the game. He first set a game password so he could retrieve his game data after moving to a new location. Mainly, he wanted access to his stockpile of hydrogen bombs and shockwave bombs. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bothered.

Yang Bo spent most of his time training his Metal Superpower skills, focusing on the manipulation of energy metals and mastering techniques.

Finally, the time had come to leave. The Fat Boss personally came to Yang Bo’s place and even helped arrange his dormitory.

“So many people?” Yang Bo noticed that the Fat Boss had at least dozens of subordinates. Including their families, there were over five or six hundred people. One guy had three wives… How is this a civilized society?

“Yang Bo, civilians ride in energy protection pods like this. We’re heading to the Skyport first.” To his surprise, the Fat Boss had chartered a spacecraft. Each person had their own seat, fully enclosed and outfitted with a transparent energy shield pod.

The person next to him sat down, and a transparent helmet covered their head. Then, a blue liquid enveloped their entire body.

Once Yang Bo sat down, the transparent helmet appeared, and a warm liquid enveloped his body. Yang Bo realized the helmet could play movies and adjust the temperature of the protective liquid.

“No wonder we had to change into special suits to board the transport.” Yang Bo muttered as he commanded the helmet to display the view outside the transport, curious about what it looked like.
