Chapter Index

The pirate leader had just rushed into the maintenance passage when he saw Yang Bo dart into another, even smaller, maintenance passage.

The pirate leader dared not be careless. The light from his energy suit shone even brighter, and he held his energy weapon in front of him as he quickly chased after Yang Bo.

At this stage, Yang Bo mainly relied on his superpower for rapid movement, using the terrain’s advantages to temporarily evade the pirate leader’s pursuit.

Yang Bo had already chosen an excellent location. As long as he got there, this guy would not escape his mecha.

Yang Bo now aimed to give the pirate false information—that his superpower wasn’t good, and he could only operate a mecha. By the time the pirate leader realized his mistake and found himself facing a mecha, it would already be too late.

Yang Bo’s prediction was spot on. Although the pirate leader closely followed Yang Bo, he wasn’t familiar with the environment and didn’t know Yang Bo’s full capabilities. He didn’t dare launch a reckless attack in these confined spaces.

The pirate leader wanted to wait until they reached a more open area where he could unleash his full abilities.

From the pirate leader’s past actions, Yang Bo had guessed that his superpower likely involved speed, and such abilities needed room to be deployed.

The maintenance passage wasn’t spacious, limiting the pirate’s performance. Without knowing Yang Bo’s true strength, the pirate definitely wouldn’t launch a rash attack.

Of course, if Yang Bo’s guess was wrong and the pirate tried to kill him now, Yang Bo had a plan. Worst case scenario, he would release his mecha and face the pirate one-on-one.

After a few minutes of pursuit, Yang Bo felt that they had reached the right place. Exiting the maintenance passage, he quickly ran ahead. However, the next second, a figure flashed behind him, and Yang Bo swiftly dodged to the side.

“Hahaha!” The pirate leader wasn’t trying to kill Yang Bo—his mind was full of questions. If Yang Bo truly had the ability to control mechas, sacrificing a few bros for the pirate group’s growth was worth it. “What are you laughing at? Are you insane?” Yang Bo, dressed in work clothes, spoke in a middle-aged man’s voice, now holding an energy weapon. His voice wasn’t an issue, thanks to his camouflage; he even changed his vocal cords.

“Pleasure to meet you. I’m the Commander of the Silver Moon Pirates. I’m very interested in your superpower. The records say Mr. Ma is just an ordinary gardener, but it turns out you can control mechas and wield energy weapons. If I’m not mistaken, you’ve got an energy suit under that work uniform, Mr. Ma?” The pirate leader stood 30 meters from Yang Bo, sure he could fatally strike from that distance.

“How do you know me?” Yang Bo asked, sounding a bit flustered. “We have records of everyone on the transport ship. I also know you have a daughter, a son, and a wife. I’ll ask you one more time: What is your superpower? If you don’t answer, I’ll break both your arms and legs, imprison you, and bring your wife and kids here.”

“If you won’t tell, I’ll kill one of them. If you still keep quiet, I’ll kill another. I won’t stop until you break. And if you refuse till the end, I’ll implant a slave chip in your brain—developed by the Azure Blue Empire. With the chip, you’ll have no choice but to obey my every command.” The pirate leader’s words sent a chill down Yang Bo’s spine as his energy weapon glowed faintly.

Hearing this, Yang Bo learned something new—the Azure Blue Empire had slave chips? This was news to him. He coldly responded, “What are you dreaming about? You think I’ll just tell you my superpower without a fight? If you’ve got what it takes, come try me!”

“Hahaha, a little nobody like you dares talk big? I’m an A-rank superpowered individual.” The pirate leader laughed heartily at Yang Bo’s challenge.

In the next second, light burst from Yang Bo’s energy suit, and he shot toward the pirate leader like lightning.

The pirate leader was stunned, quickly dodging. Yang Bo’s energy wave was no small thing. The pirate wanted to see what Yang Bo could do.

In the next moment, Yang Bo ignored him and dashed into another cabin.

The pirate leader hesitated briefly, then rushed after him.

The next second, the pirate leader flew backward at an even faster speed.

His energy suit shattered, and he crashed into the transport ship’s wall, staring in disbelief at the mecha before him. It was a model he had never seen before—not particularly grand, but it had a sleek design. The mecha held a glowing cold weapon, the same one that had fiercely struck him moments ago.

As soon as the pirate leader entered the neighboring cabin and shot forward, the cold weapon in the mecha’s hand struck him hard. The mecha hovered at the passage’s exit.

The pirate leader had his own energy suit defense system, but the mecha’s energy weapon packed greater power. Combined with the massive weapon’s force, the pirate’s suit shattered instantly!

It was a careless mistake, like fishing and grabbing a fish with scales. Touch it, and you know immediately. It was like the pirate leader picking a random box without looking.

When fishing, if the catch doesn’t feel slippery but gritty instead—let go! It’s definitely scaled.

“Custom mecha!” The pirate leader tried to stand but vomited blood, collapsing to the ground.

He wasn’t dead yet; the cold weapon had struck with force but didn’t kill him. If it had sliced him, he would’ve been split in two.

That mecha weighed over a hundred tons and had an energy weapon. Who in their right mind would give a mecha such a weapon?

The pirate leader thought Yang Bo had hidden the mecha here beforehand. The mecha and its energy weapon had both been altered in appearance. Otherwise, the commander would have recognized it as the one from the Red Earl incident.

Yes, this was Yang Bo’s plan. He led the pirate leader around, appearing desperate, while waiting for the right moment. Yang Bo had gambled the pirate wouldn’t fight him immediately. Using the shielding between two cabins, he released the mecha, now hovering at the passage’s exit.

Yang Bo didn’t want to finish the guy with a single slash. Striking with the energy weapon was safer. If he slashed, there was a chance the pirate might escape.

“Me?” The pirate leader wanted to say something, but the next second, the mecha stomped on his body.

“Villains should be taken out first. Most of the time, letting them talk doesn’t end well!” Yang Bo didn’t bother listening to him yammer.
