Chapter Index

“Huh? What’s this?” Yang Bo grudgingly cleaned up a pile of trash on the ground. He imagined what would happen if he were crushed by a 100-ton mecha. He’d be a flat meat pancake.

As Yang Bo forced himself to finish cleaning, he noticed a strange card. It hadn’t deformed. He had no idea what material it was made of.

“Whatever, I’ll keep it for now!” The reason Yang Bo was cleaning up was.

Mainly because Yang Bo needed to Camouflage himself as this pirate leader to stir up trouble. Now he had the upper hand.

He threw the pirate leader’s clothes, pants, and boots into the washer. The rest—bits of flesh and scraps—were dumped into space along with the wrecked mechas of the transport ship’s guard squad. The pirate leader had wrecked the mecha after the battle, rendering them useless.

The walls and floors had been scrubbed clean, not leaving a trace of the pirate leader’s biological samples.

Yang Bo felt his machine-handling skills were still limited, but as his mechanic percentage increased, maybe he could create new machines.

An hour later, the new pirate leader emerged. He looked identical to the original leader, thanks to the hair Yang Bo had used. Yang Bo figured he could maintain this pirate leader identity for a long time. In the future, whenever he didn’t like someone, the pirate leader would conveniently appear.

“How should I deal with these pirates? Kill them all? But there are too many of them!” Yang Bo was unsure what to do. It was all too sudden.

Yang Bo continued walking around the cargo bay and soon heard voices. When he arrived, he found a pirate squad had discovered many people hiding there.

    “Boss!”

“Boss!” The pirates spotted a figure landing in front of them. His armor emitted a faint energy glow. They immediately greeted him.

Yang Bo had done this on purpose. Walking in wouldn’t have revealed his identity as dramatically.

Now, Yang Bo was dressed exactly like the pirate leader.

The pirate leader’s communication system had been stomped and destroyed by Yang Bo earlier, so he didn’t need to use it to speak with the others now.

“Be careful. We’ve already lost several mechas. Someone’s targeting us from the shadows. After this, don’t come back here for a while!” Yang Bo examined the scene, feeling uneasy. There were dozens of civilians from the transport ship. If a fight broke out, they’d all likely be killed. Mecha battles were bloody affairs. The people wouldn’t stand a chance, especially against a laser cannon. Once it activated, they’d have no hope of survival.

“Boss, could it be the guy with Crack Void?” Several pirates quickly asked after hearing his words.

“I don’t know. Just head back. I’ll find the others.” Shaking his head, Yang Bo left.

Yang Bo, familiar with the cargo bay, soon found another group of pirates.

When the pirates noticed a figure quickly approach, their instincts kicked in, and they aimed their energy weapons. Seeing it was their boss, they lowered their guard.

    “Boss, why are you here?”

“Boss, is something going on?” the pirates asked in unison.

Four mechas and four pirates in energy suits all started questioning him.

“Be careful. Someone’s hunting our mechas. Head back to the Sports Arena where there are more people. I’ll inform the others,” Yang Bo ordered.

“Boss, should we still damage the cargo bay?” the pirates asked.

“No need to rush. Let’s wait for the others to board first,” Yang Bo replied, shaking his head.

The pirate squad nodded. Moments later, they watched their boss disappear into the passageway. “Who do you think would win in a fight? The guy with Crack Void or our boss?”

“It’s got to be our boss. The guy with Crack Void is probably weak. Otherwise, he would have come out to fight us head-on instead of hiding!”

“Exactly! Our boss is an A-rank fighter!”

“Probably higher. I bet in two more years, he’ll be an A+ fighter!” The pirate squad chatted as they headed in the direction their boss had gone. It was the only path to the Sports Arena. Just as the pirate squad entered the next chamber.

A shadow suddenly descended. A flash of light followed.

The four pirates in energy suits walking ahead were instantly crushed into meat pancakes by the massive black figure. Simultaneously, a flash of light cut two others clean in half. The two mechas following them were also sliced in two.

The pilots of the mechas were stunned. A never-before-seen mecha had just descended out of nowhere, and in an instant, the two mechas in front of them were sliced apart.

Instinctively, the remaining two mecha pilots tried to dodge, but the narrow passage didn’t leave room for escape. In the next second, the mysterious mecha charged forward, plunging them into darkness!

    Four mecha piloting +8!

    Four warship repair +8!

The entire sequence lasted just one second. Yang Bo’s mecha landed, crushing two enemies. A casual swing of his weapon cut down two more mechas and the two pirates in energy suits. Then, with a quick charge, the other two were dealt with.

The dead pirates felt incredibly wronged! Just moments ago, their boss had passed through this area, and now, a mecha was ambushing them! A mecha equipped with energy weapons, no less! Talk about being ridiculously outclassed!

Eight-generation pirate mechas were sliced in half like they were made of tofu.

Yang Bo’s mecha was equipped with an energy weapon far superior to the cold weapons from even the latest generation of mechas. Even the best modern mecha couldn’t fully utilize energy metals.

“Seems like using a laser cannon is the way to go for killing. This sword’s making me feel like a butcher in a slaughterhouse.” Yang Bo did a quick cleanup, surveying the blood-spattered scene. This one had been especially bloody, with two of the energy-suited pirates crushed into pancakes while the other two were bisected.

“All right, on to the next!” After tidying up, Yang Bo decided it was time for the pirate leader to check in on his subordinates.
