Chapter Index

Yang Bo wanted to see how much time he could use and then figure out the situation around him. More intel would be even better.

“I just hope the Red Earl doesn’t stir up trouble. If so, I’ll have to strike preemptively. These guys are lurking here, and judging by the looks of things, the Alliance’s army has been heavily infiltrated. Once I get back to the capital star, I’ll quickly make a run for it.” Yang Bo was already planning how to leave the country. The Alliance’s army had been infiltrated by extremist organizations, so other areas were likely in the same state! Inside space, with no distinction between day and night, soldiers typically ate every eight hours. Yang Bo took this time to expand his search area.

The warship had a honeycomb-like structure of independent compartments, divided into many sections.

There were sections for dining, accommodations, weapons, and so forth.

Yang Bo also found the place where mechs and fighter jets were stored, and soldiers were training here using simulators.

Unfortunately, Yang Bo always showed up at mealtime, so he never saw how the soldiers operated them and didn’t learn how to do it himself. The lowest grade of the mechs was the 13th generation, with the most advanced ones being 15th and 16th generations. These mechs even had various attachments. Yang Bo couldn’t help but drool at the sight.

However, in front of the massive warship, these mechs and fighter jets were like mere mosquitoes! Also, there were laser cannons guarding the mech and aircraft storage area. Judging from the power of the firing tubes, these cannons were formidable. No mech or jet could withstand their attack! “The Red Earl shouldn’t cause trouble, right? The defenses on this warship are so high!”

With only half an hour, Yang Bo needed to keep ten minutes in reserve, so he had just 20 minutes to scout the surrounding area. It had taken him five full days to explore and map out his surroundings. Now he had a rough mental map. If anything happened, he could immediately find a hiding place.

Electric Power Control +4! Electric Power Control +4! …………

While Yang Bo sat in his bay, worrying about his future, messages suddenly appeared in his mind!

This… this…! Yang Bo instantly realized what was happening. His actions in the mech game had finally yielded results. Last time, hadn’t he dismantled a hydrogen bomb and thrown it into the lake in the Underground World?

The hydrogen bomb explosion didn’t result in radiation, but the bomb’s materials did. At that time, mutant electric eels devoured the radioactive material in one bite, leaving Yang Bo stunned!

“This method is good. I’ll have to use it again next time!” The feeling was wonderful, especially in such a crisis-laden situation. Yang Bo speculated that Electric Power Control had some relationship with the percentage evolution of mechanics! Yang Bo was thrilled, while others found it baffling. The Tiger-Faced King watched as his subordinates hunted down one mutant eel after another!

The Tiger-Faced King’s camp had originally been beside this underground lake, but one day, these mutant electric eels began appearing in the lake. In nature, they had almost no predators.

They not only wiped out other lake creatures but also attacked the tribespeople living next to the lake. So the Tiger-Faced King had moved to another location! The Tiger-Faced King had once thought of clearing out the underground lake. A previous cleanup had gotten rid of them, but mutant eels appeared again. After investigation, the Tiger-Faced King found that surface rainwater was causing mutant eels to flow into the underground river system through the lake!

This underground lake once provided the Tiger-Faced King with plenty of fish, but ever since the mutant electric eels appeared, there were no more fish!

The mutant eels also attacked the weaker members of the tribe. The tribespeople had no way to fight the eels! This time, the mutant eels had even evolved to survive briefly on land; some tribesmen gathering materials had already been attacked.

The Tiger-Faced King had no choice but to lead his subordinates in clearing out the underground lake.

The tribesmen often ventured out to collect food and various other materials.

Every day in the Underground World, things were happening—rock collapses, cave-ins—revealing treasures or materials.

Resources in the Underground World were limited, but it was connected to the surface. During heavy rains, a variety of plants, fish, and animals were flushed into the underground rivers, which the tribespeople would collect.

Some special underground rivers even contained rare materials, similar to energy metals, which the tribe used to craft weapons and other equipment.

“My King, there are a lot of mutant electric eels here, and they’re all strong. Most of them are C or D rank. They’re perfect food. I don’t think we should kill them all!” Having just finished hunting a batch of mutant electric eels, one of the Tiger-Faced King’s subordinates spoke up.

“Then hunt them in a controlled manner. Distribute their meat to the young of the tribe. The meat of mutant beasts can help the youngsters awaken their abilities sooner!” The Tiger-Faced King nodded and gave his orders!

“We better keep an eye on this place. Our neighbor took a huge loss this time. If they find out about these mutant eels, they’ll definitely try something sneaky!”

“Alright, post guards here! By the way, hasn’t that ‘Disaster Star’ logged into the game recently?” The Tiger-Faced King eagerly awaited Disaster Star’s return. Even though the Tiger-Faced King had come out of it battered and bruised, two of his neighbors hadn’t fared so well—one dead and the other badly hit. So the Tiger-Faced King was actually quite happy when Disaster Star appeared.

“According to our spies in the Alliance, Disaster Star also suffered a great loss this time. Plus, his enemy hasn’t gathered all their mechs yet. Disaster Star is probably waiting for his enemy to get all their mechs ready before making his next move!”

“This Disaster Star is really something! Twice now he’s been surrounded by high-level mechs, and yet he’s managed to escape both times!” the Tiger-Faced King’s subordinate exclaimed!

“There’s a reason he’s called Disaster Star! From now on, tell everyone to avoid him whenever possible. We don’t want to get caught up in his mess!” The Tiger-Faced King laughed!

“Of course, my King. We need to keep everything top-secret. Once Disaster Star returns, we’ll leak his whereabouts to our neighbor. They’ll rush in and get themselves killed, and then their territory and people will be ours. A few more rounds of this, and we’ll be the biggest tribe within a thousand miles!” the subordinate suggested.

“That makes sense. It’s a shame Disaster Star only operates in this area. If he ventured deeper, it would be even better!” The Tiger-Faced King felt a bit regretful.

“My King, I have an idea. If Disaster Star’s mech is so lousy, maybe we can help him upgrade it?” the subordinate whispered!
