Chapter Index

A powerful voice thundered through all of Baihu City, inside and out, as if the heavens themselves had spoken.

“Despicable demons, daring to invade our lands and massacre our people! Today, this very place will be your grave!”

Apart from Brunn and Bulin, every other demon nearby crumbled to dust beneath that mighty voice, vanishing without a trace.

The blade in Brunn’s hand shattered instantly. Brunn and Bulin, along with the millions of surviving demons, all snapped their heads up to look skyward.

Li Xun led the hundred sects, now descended upon the city. Over two hundred thousand figures filled the sky, each one radiating terrifying pressure, their expressions cold and unyielding as they locked eyes on the demons below.

Every cell in Brunn’s body screamed retreat or die. He understood, clearer than ever, that the people before him were far beyond ordinary. Dread contorted his face as he stumbled back several steps, unable to control the fear.

The demon soldiers’ pupils shrank in terror. Panic spread across their faces as they gripped their weapons, hands and bodies shaking uncontrollably.

But on the side of the humans, after seeing this, the once deadly serious faces now broke into broad grins, relief washing over them.

Bulin swallowed hard, realizing the group in the sky was the most formidable enemy he’d ever faced. His hands shook uncontrollably.

But as a commander, duty demanded he never flee before battle. Gritting his teeth, he braced himself against the heavy pressure and stepped forward.

Planting his staff into the ground, Bulin threw back his head and shouted furiously, “Who are you people? Name yourselves!”

Li Xun and his comrades allowed a smile to flicker across their stern faces, letting out a collective sneer before their expressions hardened again.

    “Sky Sword Sect, Li Xun!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Li Ran!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, An Peisheng!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Li Zai’an!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Lu Tingxue!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Qiao Ling’er!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Xuanyuan Ling!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Lu Jingquan!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Mo Lin!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, An Muran!”

    “Sky Sword Sect, Luo Sen!”

“Sky Sword Sect, Frost Palace, Ten Thousand Beast Sect, Vast Sea Sect, Azure Profound Sect, Heavenfire Gate and a hundred sects—we pledge our lives to follow Li Xun!”

In unison, they declared, “For the good of all living beings, who else but us? We’ll restore daylight to these lands, invade the Demon Domain and exterminate the demons!”

“We have no regrets, even if it costs us our lives!”

Brunn and Bulin’s eyes reddened, anger shoving aside their fear as they erupted with furious howls.

Together they roared, “Arrogant fools! You may be strong, but we’ll kill you all. You’ll pay for your arrogance. Kill them!”

“Kill!” Bulin bellowed, staff raised high, and led the demon army as it surged skyward to meet the humans swirling above.

“The arrogant ones are you! Come then—show me your best!” Li Ran drew a gleaming white sword from his back and shot downward ahead of the pack.

“Wipe them out!” Li Xun’s face turned icy cold. A sword materialized before him; he grabbed it single-handedly and vanished with a sharp bang.

“Kill!” Over two hundred thousand cultivators roared, weapons flashing as they charged forward.

Human cultivators gripped their swords, plunging down to meet the demons rising up from below.

Clad in ornate robes, the human cultivators brandished swords gleaming with a chilling light. At the same time, the powerful demons soared up, surging toward their foes.

Demons towered above humans, muscles knotted beneath jet-black skin that shone with an eerie luster.

Their massive hands wielded all kinds of weapons—spears, greatswords, axes—each one pulsing with a menacing aura.

In an instant, human and demon cultivators collided in the void above, the clash shaking the skies with thunderous explosions.

Sword after sword flashed in the hands of the humans, slashing toward the demons. The demons used their weapons to block, the air filled with frantic energy.

The battle raged fiercely, waves of force and bursts of light turning the sky into a dizzying storm.

Amid the chaos, the human cultivators displayed their superior skills. Their swords danced like vipers, weaving through the demons’ defenses and dealing blow after blow.

Beneath Brunn and Bulin’s lead, the demons tried to rely on brute strength and tough bodies to crush their enemies. But sheer force proved useless against such overwhelming power.

No matter how many they threw forward, the demons only added to their own casualties.

An Peisheng cleaved a demon in two with a single stroke of his axe, bursting into laughter. “Haha, I’ve never felt so alive! This is the thrill of battle!”

He didn’t even notice two invisible demons sneaking up behind, each gripping a sharp axe, appearing suddenly to try and bisect him with a roar.

“Elder An, watch out!” At the last instant, Lu Tingxue swooped in, sword flashing, cleaving both demons in half like a celestial warrior descending from above.

“What—” An Peisheng’s laughter died on his lips. He spun around in shock, dread flooding his face.

Seeing the aftermath, An Peisheng felt like he’d just escaped death, letting out a long sigh of relief before gushing his thanks to Lu Tingxue.

“That scared me half to death. If Elder Lu hadn’t been there, I’d be a corpse right now. Hahaha!”

“Save the jokes for later! Now’s not the time!” Lu Tingxue pressed close, sword at the ready, eyes scanning the surroundings.

“Elder Lu’s right. This isn’t the time to reminisce. Let’s finish them off first!” An Peisheng shot a fierce look at the demons around him, eyes flashing with cold intent.

“Demons, go to hell!” Roaring, veins bulging on his arms and face, An Peisheng vanished in the blink of an eye, axes in hand.

He instantly split several demon soldiers in two. The others froze in horror, too stunned to react.

Lu Tingxue wasted no time, elegantly beheading the rest with a single flourish, and in a blink, appeared by An Peisheng’s side.

“Elder An, did you take care of everything here?”

“Don’t worry, Elder Lu. It’s all done.”

Just as they breathed a sigh of relief, a furious roar snapped their attention away.

“Hah, die! Unparalleled Sword Coffer, unleash!”

It was Lu Jingquan in red, blood spattering across his handsome face and robes, making the scarlet stand out even more.

Lu Jingquan grinned wickedly at the demons before him, a sword coffer sliding open at his side.

Ten radiant swords shot out, hovering around him, each one exuding a frightful aura.

“Hahah, die—all of you, die!” Lu Jingquan dug his hands into his face, a twisted smile curling his lips.
