Chapter Index

Sword Qi Year Eight Thousand, April 2nd.

Kasa rallied the remaining troops from Qinglong City and Zhuque City, joined by five Demon Lords and eight Demon Saints, then made a decisive choice—abandon the cities and march relentlessly north.

Kasa’s eyes were resolute and cold, like he could already see humanity’s end. He knew this was a fight to the death with no turning back.

Only by pressing forward, only by shedding more blood, could he win a greater future for his race and realize the Demon Race’s dream of unifying the continent.

Kasa’s army swept across the Falling Star Plains like a storm, crushing all resistance with overwhelming force.

Their horses shattered the ground beneath them, sword qi tore through the sky, their shouts echoed across the world.

Every ant they passed was trampled, and nothing survived where they went. An ocean of blood stretched for miles, shocking heaven and earth.

They were true demons—creatures without emotion or mercy, driven only by an endless lust for slaughter.

When they attacked a first-class major city, the Demon Race met the fiercest resistance yet, driven back time and again by defenders.

The Human cultivators fought for their homeland with their lives. They feared neither death nor sacrifice—all to protect their homes and loved ones.

Their blood soaked the earth, their bodies piled high upon the city walls, their beliefs holding up humanity’s future.

They were heroes—worthy of respect, of remembrance, and pride.

But Kasa, Kapu, and Kala turned the tide with overwhelming strength, purging every last trace of the Human counterattack in the rear.

Dark demonic energy billowed from them, legendary weapons clutched in hand, marching atop countless corpses.

The three of them seemed like death incarnate. So many died at their hands, Human resistance was ground to dust.

After just half a day and at the cost of fifteen million Demon soldiers plus two Demon Lords and three Demon Saints, they breached Wanyou City, Hanbing City, and Wentian City.

Once their army entered, there was no pause, only more killing.

They killed everyone they saw, burned every house, looted every last thing—showing not an ounce of pity or compassion.

Their purpose was simple: exterminate humanity, destroy civilization, plunge the land into endless darkness.

Like an unstoppable force, they slaughtered thirty million—civilians and soldiers alike—leaving no safe haven anywhere.

The massacre raged on and on, until not a single living soul could stand.

Except for Tian Gu City, every other major city fell to ruin.

This Sword Qi Continent, once so prosperous, was now buried under the shadow of death.

Life withered, blood soaked the skies, and death covered the whole land.

A scarlet moon crept up above, as if announcing the world’s end.

When Xie Lingtian and his company received the news from the rear, anxiety boiled inside them. Under Li Xun’s leadership, they pulled back their forces to race to the rescue, determined to face the Demon Race in a battle to the death.

They understood this battle would decide humanity’s fate. If they failed, the whole Sword Qi Continent would fall to the Demons.

Sword Qi Year Eight Thousand, April 4th. After two days of rest, the Demon Race was ready to march again.

Grieving meant nothing now; under Kasa’s lead, they set out for Tian Gu City.

According to their battle plan, they’d first destroy Tian Gu City, then strike straight for the Jianwu Dynasty’s capital—Tiandu City.

That would wipe out the Human Race once and for all.

And after that, they’d sweep back around to crush any rebellious remnants, cleansing the Sword Qi Continent of resistance.

Desperate to ruin the Demons’ plot, Xie Lingtian and his companions pressed forward, urging their army ever faster, hoping to reach Tian Gu City before it was too late.

Along the way, they encountered a handful of Human survivors, who confirmed the Demons were already drawing near Tian Gu City.

Knowing time was running out, the group didn’t hesitate. They abandoned all supplies and raced for Tian Gu City at full speed.

As night fell, Xie Lingtian and the others finally reached Tian Gu City. To their relief, they arrived before the Demon army.

Tian Gu City stood tall and solid, its fortifications formidable.

But the Demon Race was even more terrifying—battle-hardened soldiers, savage demon beasts, and unmatched force awaited.

Xie Lingtian and the others knew this would be the hardest fight of all—Tian Gu City was the last line of defense.

If it fell, the Demon Race could run rampant. Humanity’s only two fates: utter extinction, or eternal slavery.

So they resolved to fight to the bitter end. Right there, the fate of the two races would be decided. They reached Tiandu City and instantly began preparing—mobilizing every ounce of strength they had.

Once everything was set, they stationed themselves atop the city walls, scanning the horizon as the night deepened and the air grew heavy.

They waited on the walls for what felt like forever, yawning with exhaustion until a chill wind snapped them awake. A hundred miles from the city gates,

under the bloody glow of the moon, countless pairs of menacing red eyes blazed in the darkness, staring hungrily in their direction.

A soldier spotted this terrifying sight and scrambled to his feet, banging gongs and beating drums, shouting at the top of his lungs.

“Everyone, attention! The Demon Race is coming!”

“Repeating, everyone be on alert! The Demon Race attacks—prepare for battle!”

Any drowsiness among the Human defenders was shattered, panic jolting them awake like a thunderclap.

Grabbing torches and weapons, they steeled their nerves, staring down the darkness where the Demons waited. The overwhelming power of the enemy made them tremble.

But still, they clutched their weapons and forced themselves to stay calm.

Hearing the alarm, Xie Lingtian and Xie Jinxuan rushed to the parapets, bracing for peril with eyes locked on those glowing red eyes in the distance.

Kasa stepped forward, hovering in midair as he swept his gaze across the scene, then burst out laughing.

“Emperor of the Human Race, it’s been too long. I must say, I’ve been eyeing your head for a while now!”

“Here’s your chance: surrender or die! Think it over carefully. You only get one chance—miss it, and there’s no going back!”

“Now, Emperor, make your choice. You have three minutes!”

Xie Lingtian strode forward, facing off with Kasa, then laughed right back.

“Filthy Demon, save your empty words! Bow down to you? Dream on!”

“I am the Son of Heaven. All things in this world bow before me—so why don’t you kneel, and witness my majesty!”

Kasa’s smile froze, rage flashing in his eyes. “Arrogant Human Emperor, I called you emperor out of respect, but you’ve overstepped your bounds. Fine—die for it!”

“Demon warriors, follow me—level them all!”

Tension crackled through the air. With a roar, the Demon warriors behind Kasa unfurled their wings and soared upward, a twenty-million-strong horde blotting out the sky.

The bloody moonlight glared off their scaled armor, and Kapu struck the city walls with overwhelming force.

With a thunderous crash, half the formidable walls of Tian Gu City collapsed. Kala followed, swinging her blade to hack open a breach.

The ruined walls now gaped wide, exposing the city’s heart.

For a moment, the Human soldiers were stunned. Then, fury surged. Weapons raised, they charged at the oncoming tide of Demons and the battle erupted.

Waves of Demon soldiers and beasts crashed in, but the Human defenders held their ground. Under Xie Jinxuan’s fearless lead, they unleashed the strongest techniques they’d ever mastered in their lives for this life-or-death struggle.
