Chapter Index

Kasa’s expression turned ice cold. With a violent twist of his arm, he unleashed a palm strike at Tian Gu City. The sheer weight of the heavens and earth thundered down, as if a divine miracle had descended.

Xie Lingtian spun around in terror, only to witness a quarter of Tian Gu City vanish in the wake of that single palm.

Everyone still fighting—cultivators, ordinary folk, and soldiers of the Human Race—were obliterated by the blow, leaving not even ashes behind.

Kasa let out a mocking laugh. “Ha! Human emperor, do you see the gap between us now? That was just an ordinary strike.”

“By the way, in terms of your Human cultivation stages, I’d be considered Demi-God Realm now!”

A few human warriors, spotting a hint of carelessness in Kasa, leaped into the air together, summoning every ounce of strength for one last attack.

    “Hundred Battles Spear Technique!”

    “Piercing Heart Doom!”

    “Blazing Flame!”

The pitch-black night was suddenly lit up by their combined onslaught, like daylight breaking across the world.

Kasa found the spectacle amusing, unleashing a crazed roar. “You ants dare to challenge a god? Such foolish ignorance! Let me escort you to your deaths!”

“Divine Art: Infernal Heaven Demon Fist!”

The clouds overhead were pierced by enormous fists wreathed in black flames. Each strike shattered the sky and brought with it the power of the Dao.

Fists crashed down, shattering the earth below and opening bottomless chasms. Human and demon alike fell in droves under the endless onslaught.

Tian Gu City, once imposing and proud, was torn asunder, barely clinging to the land.

The warriors who rushed at Kasa had long since disappeared, lost to the storm of fists.

Kasa couldn’t help boasting, “Ha! Not bad for a little warmup, but honestly, you’re still far too weak!”

Just as Kasa reveled in his apparent victory, he dismissed the survivors, turning his back as if the battle was already decided.

“Return to Origin Sword: Edge of the Blade!”

A blade’s edge lit up the world like a bright moon, carrying a killing intent that swept across the sky, slicing straight toward Kasa’s retreating form.

“Arrogant ant! You too dream of killing a god?” Kasa turned and shattered the sword light with a single palm.

Li Xun’s figure slowly emerged, followed by the ten great elders of Sky Sword Sect and Gu Qingxiao.

Dozens of eyes locked together in a tense standoff.

An Peisheng bristled with rage. “The true fool here is you! A worm dares call itself a god? Let’s see what you’ve got! Split Heaven with my Axe!”

Veins bulged along An Peisheng’s arms as his muscles swelled. His crimson great-axe grew to an enormous size.

He became a blur, swinging the giant axe at Kasa with a fierce grin.

He could feel the axe biting into flesh—he was sure he had landed a hit.

“Hah, is that all? Seems you talk bigger than you bite!”

Luo Sen shouted anxiously, “No, wait! Elder An, something’s wrong—fall back!”

“What’s wrong, Elder Luo?” An Peisheng turned to look at his comrades.

“Ha! Human, you’ve got some tricks, but you only managed to tickle me. In return, let me grant you a quick death!” Kasa sneered, blocking the strike.

A pair of pitch-black twin blades suddenly appeared in Kasa’s hands, freezing the air with their dreadful chill before glowing a vicious red.

“Divine Art: Celestial Dog Devours the Moon!”

The crimson moon above seemed to be gnawed away. The aura of the twin blades surged violently.

With two swift swings, twin crimson blades shot out, each one a hundred feet long, fifty feet tall—turning everything in their path to dust.

A chill swept over An Peisheng. He spun around in terror, hoisting his axe in a desperate attempt to block.

“No! Danger!” Li Xun could stay calm no longer and darted in front of An Peisheng in a flash.

    “Yin-Yang Shield: Protect!”

Before An Peisheng could react, a massive shield wrapped tightly around them both. The twin blades crashed down with terrifying speed.

The shield shattered. Li Xun bore the brunt of the blow, sustaining serious injuries. An Peisheng behind him was badly hurt as well.

Both men were blasted back by the overwhelming force, sent flying for dozens of feet.

    “No, Sect Master!”

Faces fell as several rushed forward, catching the two men before they could crash to the ground.

A burning pain rose in their throats, both coughing up blood as they glared intensely at Kasa.

Kasa shook his head and stepped forward, stopping ten meters away with a devilish laugh. “Impressive, human. Still breathing after that?”

“But this is the end. Bow before the god’s might!”

    “Divine Art: Demonic Cloud Palm.”

With a frigid glare, Kasa reversed his palm, unleashing a strike laced with roiling black energy that tore through the sky straight for the crowd.

Everyone felt dread prickling their skin—the unbridgeable gulf between mortals and gods was all too clear.

Below, Xie Jinxuan, Xie Wanyi, and Xie Lingtian each let out a helpless sigh. This battle was beyond their reach.

Kapu, Kala, and Karl were overjoyed at the sight. As demon lords, only by reaching the peak could one be considered a Demi-God among humans.

At best, they were at the early or middle stages. But none of that mattered—Kasa’s strike meant victory was all but certain.

Kapu’s face twisted with excitement. “Looks like this war belongs to us demons! Humans, prepare for slaughter!”

He quickly cleaved a nearby cultivator in two with his butcher’s blade. Guts spilled across the ground, blood splattering Kapu’s face.

He licked the blood from his lips, thrilled, and drove the butcher’s blade even harder.

    “Ha! Kill them all!”

Xie Jinxuan, barely containing his fury, roared out, “Enough of your arrogance! If we must decide life and death, then come fight!”

    Their shouts collided, sparks flying.

Up above, Li Xun forced himself to stand, gripping his sword tightly. He shouted, “All together! Today, let’s show this so-called god what mortals are capable of!”

“Show this so-called god the ultimate truths we’ve found on our paths of cultivation!”

Eleven figures soared upwards, leaving Gu Qingxiao, whose strength wasn’t enough to join them, below. No one held back—they unleashed their strongest techniques!

“Return to Origin Sword: Sweeping the World!” Li Xun called out.

“Snowy Sword: From the Snow She Comes!” Li Ran followed.

“Azure Sea Sword: Breaking the Autumn Waves!” Li Zai’an proclaimed.

“Limitless Axe: Opening Mountains and Rivers!” An Peisheng shouted.

“Hundred Flowers Whip: Blossoms in Full Bloom!” Qiao Ling’er joined in.

“Heaven Scorching Sword: Endless Blaze!” Mo Lin cried.

“Xuan King Bell: Deliverance to the Azure Abyss!” Luo Sen exclaimed.

“Water Snow Sword: Bearing Tranquility!” Lu Tingxue declared.

“Soaring Sword: Crossing the Ninth Heaven!” Lu Jingquan called.

“Hua Authority Sword: Rule the World!” An Muran shouted.

“Mother and Son Sword: Tears of Grace!” Xuanyuan Ling finished.

Eleven ultimate techniques lit up the world, scattering all darkness and shattering Kasa’s incoming palm. United, they charged at him.

Kasa threw back his head and laughed. “Foolish mortals! I’ll admit you have some skill, but this is nowhere near enough to slay a god!”

    “Demon God Body: Descend!”

A colossal shadow wrapped in supreme laws suddenly appeared, raising a titanic palm toward them.

Their attacks struck Kasa at once, but the demon god’s hand blasted them away for miles. Everyone crashed to the ground, gravely wounded.

Kasa was about to erupt in laughter when he suddenly looked down, struck with horror—he’d been injured! Agonizing pain twisted his features.

“Damn you humans! You truly wish to die? How dare you injure me—I’ll kill you all!”

Behind him, the Demon God Body swung its Hate-Heaven Spear in wild rage, aiming to impale the wounded group.

Gu Qingxiao’s face went pale with fear. “No!”

She snatched up her longsword, determined to shield the people lying helpless behind her.

“Xiao’er, no! Get out of the way, it’s suicide!” Li Xun bent low, hand outstretched toward the sky.

Gu Qingxiao glanced at everyone, offered a gentle smile, and turned back with resolve. “Melting Snow Sword: Snow Shield!”

Countless flakes appeared out of thin air, forming thick layers of protection around her.

“Ignorant mortal! You think that’ll stop me?” Kasa sneered, redoubling his speed.

One by one, the shields collapsed. The Hate-Heaven Spear was just half a step away—Gu Qingxiao’s heart trembled with a flicker of regret.

But she had given her all; her conscience was clear.

“So this is the gulf between mortals and gods. I guess this time, there really won’t be a miracle.”

A faint smile touched her lips. She closed her eyes, ready to greet death.
