Chapter 134: Those Who Harm My Sister Must Die
by xennovelKasa’s smile faltered, and the defeated lay scattered, struggling just to move. Even standing seemed like a luxury beyond their reach.
All they could do was pound the ground helplessly, again and again.
Below, Xie Jinxuan and Xie Wanyi looked terrified, frozen for a moment as they stared up at the scene above.
“Ha! Kid, one careless moment and you could die. Let me send you on your way!” Kapu tightened his grip on his axe, muscles bunching with sudden force.
“Watch out!” Xie Jinxuan snapped back to himself, desperately raising his sword to defend.
Just as the spear was about to pierce through Gu Qingxiao’s tiny frame—
A thunderous voice rang out, laced with seething fury and hatred, surging straight for Kasa with the promise of a thousand cuts.
“You want to die? You dare lay a hand on my little sister, even if you’re a False God? Today, even if you were a True God, I’d wipe you from existence! Anyone who harms my sister will die!”
The Hate-Heaven Spear shattered on the spot, stunning everyone. None were more shocked than Kasa himself.
Kasa roared in outrage. “Which coward dares meddle in my affairs? Stop hiding and show yourself! Come die already!”
“Very well, let me grant your wish!”
A figure tore through the air, slowly revealing himself—none other than Gu Qingyi’s avatar, Gu Xiaoyao.
Gu Xiaoyao had originally planned to head to the Golden Gate in hopes of finding the path to the Divine Realm. But the pull between siblings told him something terrible was about to happen to Gu Qingxiao.
He had no time to pursue the Golden Gate now. He raced back as fast as he could and, thankfully, arrived in time. Otherwise, even if he became a Sword God, he’d regret it for the rest of his life.
“Human race. Sword Saint Realm peak—Gu Xiaoyao! I’ve come to slay a god!” Gu Xiaoyao stepped forward, shielding Gu Qingxiao behind him.
No one looked more astonished than Xie Jinxuan, who even forgot about Kapu standing right in front of him. He stretched out a hand, greeting Gu Xiaoyao excitedly.
“Brother Xiaoyao, it’s been so long… You actually broke through to the peak of Sword Saint Realm in one leap? Am I dreaming?”
Gu Xiaoyao smiled faintly. “Jinxuan, now’s not the time for catching up. Let me finish off this False God, then we’ll talk all you want!”
“Oh, and take Xiaoxiao down to safety first.”
Gu Xiaoyao scooped up the still-bewildered Gu Qingxiao and gently landed by Li Xun and the others. He set her down carefully and gave the group a warning.
“I’m leaving my sister in your care. Leave this False God to me!”
Drawing the Extinction Sword, Gu Xiaoyao pointed the blade at Kasa and shot into the sky.
Kasa was shaking with rage. “You arrogant brat! You dare spout such nonsense as if I’m nothing? I’ll twist your head off as payback!”
Gu Xiaoyao laughed boldly. “Ha! It’s only a False God, and you talk so big. I hope you have some strength to back it up, or today’s your last day!”
“Extinction Sword, Second Form: Crossing the Yellow Springs!”
With a flick of his wrist, a surge of power erupted from the Extinction Sword. A phantom of the Yellow Springs shimmered in the air.
Gu Xiaoyao swung mightily, shearing Kasa’s demonic left arm clean off, and the shockwave swept over the Demon soldiers below—they turned to ash in an instant.
Kapu, Kala, and Karl watched in horror, gulping down their fear as their legs trembled uncontrollably. A single glance between them and they bolted without hesitation.
“Commander, we need to get out of here! He’s way too strong. We’re no match. We’ll figure out a plan later!”
Kasa ignored his wounds, bellowing in fury. “Cowards! Retreat and you die! Even if you all fall, you die here! No one runs!”
With a single swing, he smashed the fleeing Demon soldiers into pulp.
Faced with certain death, Kapu, Kala, and Karl clenched their teeth. Either way, death awaited, so they turned back—determined to take a few humans with them before going down.
They rushed forward to counterattack.
Gu Xiaoyao grinned wickedly. “Coming back? Fine by me—saves me the trouble of hunting you down. Let me send you off myself!”
He ran two fingers along the blade, his gaze turning cold as he twisted his arm.
“Extinction Sword, First Form: Crossing into Rebirth!”
A bloody arc of sword energy burst from the sky, sweeping through the remaining Demon soldiers below. Everything caught in its path was reduced to ash.
A bottomless chasm was left behind, black smoke billowing out. Karl perished instantly.
Kapu and Kala gulped with terror, legs shaking even harder. They couldn’t believe Gu Xiaoyao’s cultivation seemed on par with theirs, yet his destructive power was overwhelming.
He destroyed tens of millions of their Demon warriors with a single strike. They realized they were in a different league altogether. Now, even if they wanted to flee, their commander’s threats still rang in their ears.
The two exchanged a glance and, desperate, bellowed out: “Anyone still breathing, follow us! Kill as many humans as you can—take one down and it’s even, take two and you’ve profited!”
The last Demons rallied and charged after Kapu and Kala, turning back toward Xie Jinxuan’s group.
Kasa looked down from above and bellowed with laughter. “Foolish humans! Even now, you see my people’s bravery!”
Gu Xiaoyao shook his head and suddenly laughed. “And? You’re just throwing your lives away. Enough chatter. Time for you to die. Consider it an honor to witness my third form!”
“Extinction Sword, Third Form: Slay the Heavens!”
Gu Xiaoyao gripped the Extinction Sword tight, soaring upward until he disappeared into the clouds. Suddenly, a meteor streaked across the sky, trailing countless sword shadows of blinding light.
Sword shadows became falling meteors, crashing down at terrifying speed. A massive sword slammed straight into Kasa’s demonic body.
The blade shot through him, stunning Kasa. He spun to face his foe, bewildered and furious.
“How are you this strong? You’re just a mere mortal—yet you can kill gods?!”
“I refuse this! How could I lose to you? Even if I die, you won’t get off easy. Let’s die together!”
“Demonic Body: Self-Destruct!”
Kasa’s massive body began to swell, moments away from exploding.
Kapu and Kala stared wide-eyed, then broke into choking laughter. “It’s over. Our strongest is gone. There’s nothing left to fight for.”
“Running’s pointless now. This is where we’ll be buried. Today’s our doom!”
Gu Xiaoyao’s grin turned wicked. “Planning to blow yourself up? Here, let me help you along!”
He yanked Kasa’s body skyward and with a mighty kick sent him hurtling out beyond the continent.
Kasa’s last roar echoed: “No! I won’t accept this, you damned human! Even if I’ve lost, my king’s wrath is coming! You’ll all regret this!”
An explosion of blazing light erupted in the distance—a spectacular firework—the blasts echoing through heaven and earth. The blood-red moon vanished, replaced by a pure white one that shone down across the corpses, casting a chilling, eerie glow.
