Chapter Index

Molly stared, her eyes wide with shock. The calm composure she once held had vanished, replaced by a mess of tangled emotions.

Mo Fei, stripped of all his former arrogance, couldn’t stop trembling. He swallowed hard several times, his confidence crumbling.

“How is this possible? We have so many warriors in our clan, but none of them can take even a single blow from the two of you!” He stumbled a few steps back.

“Some things you just have to see for yourself to believe,” Li Ran replied coolly, flipping his sword in his hand.

With a flick of Li Ran’s wrist, the Snow-White Sword seemed to come alive. Each slash summoned drifting snowflakes from the sky, and the sword flashed like lightning as Li Ran lunged straight at Mo Fei.

Mo Fei’s pupils shrank in terror. Sensing danger, he scrambled to raise his weapon for defense.

    Clang—

A thunderous clash rang out. Li Ran’s Snow-White Sword sliced Mo Fei’s weapon clean in half, leaving only a fading sword shadow in its wake.

    “Ahhh, my arm—!”

From the swirling Void came Mo Fei’s agonized howl. One of his massive jet-black arms, thick with muscle, was neatly severed by that dazzling stroke of light.

Blood gushed from the stump, a jagged bone just visible at the cut. The severed arm thudded heavily to the ground.

“Damn you, human! I’ll kill you for this—I swear I’ll avenge my lost arm!” Mo Fei snarled, his features twisted with fury as he clutched his wound.

After staunching the bleeding with brute force, he glared fiercely at Li Ran and conjured a demonic axe at the stump, while his other hand gripped a wicked dagger. Both weapons pulsed with swirling black energy.

    “Die!”

With a furious roar, Mo Fei transformed into a whirlwind of blackness, aiming to tear through Li Ran’s defenses and strike him down in one fierce blow.

Molly, seeing the battle escalate, realized she couldn’t stand aside any longer. She leaped into the fray to help Mo Fei.

“Mo Fei, let me help you!”

As soon as she spoke, the energy from Molly’s twin blades surged and she shot forward like lightning, her strike aimed directly at Li Ran’s forehead.

“Trying to gang up on one person, right in front of me? You actually think I don’t exist?” Li Xun shouted, drawing the sword from his back.

    Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!—

In a blur, four figures collided at breakneck speed. Sparks flew everywhere as their attacks clashed.

    Boom—

Li Ran and Mo Fei clashed palms, and the world itself seemed to twist in that instant. Space rippled as Li Ran’s power suddenly surged.

    Crash—Boom—

Mo Fei, caught off guard, took the full strike. The earth split beneath him, caving into a massive pit.

Down in the crater lay Mo Fei, blood streaming from his seven orifices. With effort, he clutched his chest and struggled to his knees.

Eyes blazing red, Mo Fei let out a bestial roar. “Damn it! Human, you dare wound me like this? Even if I’m shattered to pieces, I won’t let you walk away unscathed!”

    “Life-for-burning technique: Demonization!”

The moment he finished, Mo Fei was swallowed up in swirling black smoke, cocooned just like a giant silkworm.

“Damn!” Li Ran realized something was wrong and slashed at the cocoon with the Snow-White Sword.

    Clang! Clang!—

Sword energy slashed through the air, but the black cocoon remained unscathed. Before Li Ran could react,

A massive explosion erupted. Terrifying waves of energy blasted outward in all directions.

In that instant, inky blackness poured across the sky. Pitch-black fumes enshrouded the battlefield.

Suddenly, a pair of blood-red eyes flared within the mist. Clawed hands covered in scales tore apart the smoke,

A massive, draconic figure emerged. Every feature of the dragon race appeared in Mo Fei’s new form—except for one thing.

His entire body radiated endless dark energy, a deathly aura that the true dragons never possessed.

“Human, you’ve truly enraged me now! This form only lasts half an hour, and will certainly be the end of me…but I’ll drag you to Hell with me!” With a flick of his huge tail, Mo Fei struck at Li Ran while his guard was down.

“Look out!” Li Ran spun fast, twisting his wrist to raise the Snow-White Sword in defense.

    Bang—

Li Ran was launched dozens of meters away by the force of the blow. Lu Tingxue leapt to catch him, landing steadily.

“Ran, are you alright? Are you badly hurt?” Lu Tingxue asked, panic in her eyes.

“Don’t worry, I won’t die that easily.” Li Ran wiped the blood from his lips and waved her off.

Mo Fei swaggered over, raising an eyebrow at Li Ran as if sizing him up.

“You’ve got some skills, kid. To take a full-strength blow from me and come away with just a few scrapes!”

“But this ends here. Now I’m at the peak of the Demon Saint Realm—say goodbye!”

With that, Mo Fei’s hands ballooned. Two enormous, black energy-wreathed dragon claws formed from thin air, lunging straight for Li Ran and Lu Tingxue.

“Courting death!” Lu Tingxue’s gaze turned icy. She drew her sword and charged forward to meet the attack.

    Clang! Clang!—

The two clashed, sword meeting claw in a shower of sparks. Neither side gave an inch.

Mo Fei handled her effortlessly, giving Lu Tingxue a mocking glance before flashing a wicked smile.

“Human, your little tricks end here. It’s time to finish this!”

He shot upward, body swirling into a black cyclone as he dove straight for Lu Tingxue’s head.

“No! Tingxue, look out above you!” Li Ran shouted.

“What?” Lu Tingxue snapped her head up, hastily blocking with her sword.

Mo Fei’s tail whipped out like a viper, too quick for her to react, and smashed into Lu Tingxue’s body.

    Bang—

Lu Tingxue was sent flying, tumbling dozens of meters back. She coughed up a mouthful of blood and her aura weakened sharply.

Li Ran stopped tending his own wounds and rushed to catch her, steadying her with both hands.

He glanced down at the frail Lu Tingxue in his arms, rage blazing in his eyes. “Damn beast! You want to die that badly?”

Qiao Ling’er leapt to their side, worried as she saw just how weak Lu Tingxue had become.

Frowning, Qiao Ling’er said, “I’ll help restore Sister Lu’s injuries first.”

“Alright, I’ll leave her to you then.” Li Ran gently handed Lu Tingxue to Qiao Ling’er, then turned to glare at Mo Fei. “You dare hurt her? I’ll kill you!”

Qiao Ling’er nodded, taking over and channeling her spiritual energy to heal Lu Tingxue. Within a couple heartbeats,

“There, Sister Lu’s life isn’t in danger anymore!” Qiao Ling’er exhaled a deep breath, pulling back her energy.

“Thank goodness. I’ll leave her with you now.” Turning to Mo Fei, he yelled, “Damn beast, you hurt her? I’ll make you pay!”

Li Ran gripped the Snow-White Sword, veins bulging in his arm. He leapt straight at Mo Fei, aiming for his head.

“Ran, let me help!” Li Zai’an roared. “Wicked beast, let’s see how you handle all of us!”

An Peisheng and the others burst out laughing. “No way we’re missing out on something this fun!”

Xie Jinxuan and Xie Lingtian shared a look and nodded. “We should lend a hand too!”

Over a dozen figures erupted forward, swords drawn as they surrounded and attacked the apparently unflappable Mo Fei.

Sensing danger, Mo Fei grabbed the swords of Li Zai’an and Li Ran, glancing behind him as he conjured a shield of demonic energy.

    Clang! Clang!—

Everyone felt a strange force block their blades. Their arms went numb from the shock, yet none of their swords could pierce even an inch deeper.

    They exchanged worried glances.

Mo Fei flashed that wicked grin. “In the face of true power, all your struggles are useless! No matter how many of you come at me, you’re nothing but chickens and dogs!”

    “Hah!”—

As everyone gawked in astonishment, Mo Fei unleashed a fearsome surge of energy.

    Bang! Bang! Bang!—

That strange force rebounded everyone’s attacks back onto themselves. Each person was blasted away dozens of meters, left battered and bloodied, staring at Mo Fei in fear.

The worst off were Li Zai’an and Li Ran, who’d taken the brunt of the attack since they were closest.
