Chapter Index

    “Zheng!”

Tens of thousands of silver needles struck the disciples of Heavenly Martial Sacred Land, but in the next second it was as if some unseen force blocked them.

“How… how is this possible? My Rain of Pear Blossom Needles—this world’s protective aura can’t even withstand them, so how did they fail now?”

Tang San stared in disbelief. The hidden weapon he was so proud of couldn’t even break through the weakest disciple’s protective qi here.

All around, the disciples eyed Tang San frozen in place, shaking their heads and whispering among themselves.

“Are you telling me this is a powerful expert from another world? Because honestly, I can’t sense a scrap of spirit energy from him. Isn’t his cultivation only at Sword Qi Realm or something?”

“Guess he is, technically. He made it through the space-time tunnel to this continent, after all. Maybe their world just has a different way of cultivating… His realm’s probably just a little lower, that’s all.”

“Did I just see that right? The guy actually threw needles at us? That’s the weirdest thing I’ve seen all year…”

“No kidding—throwing needles? Even the brat next door wouldn’t stoop that low!”

Up on the high platform, Nangong Wentian and the others scanned Tang San with their spiritual senses. After exchanging glances, they began to discuss seriously.

“So this is one of those people from another world, huh? I can’t sense even a trace of power from him—not a smidge of spiritual energy. It’s downright strange…”

“It really is odd. Why would the space-time tunnel just happen to appear on the day our Heavenly Martial Sacred Land celebrates its grand ceremony?”

“I don’t get why his strength is so low, but the fact that he made it here through the tunnel still makes him an expert, right?”

“If you ask me, instead of standing around theorizing, let’s just capture him and get to the bottom of it face to face.”

    “Agreed!”

Everyone nodded as one, their gazes locking onto Tang San.

    “Whoosh whoosh!”

Several figures flashed from their seats, vanishing from sight.

In the blink of an eye, five people hung in the air above Tang San.

Still stuck in shock, Tang San suddenly felt several powerful auras swirling above him.

He instinctively looked up and, when he saw the faces of those five, his pupils shrank. Instinct screamed at him—these people were far stronger than a God King.

If they wanted, it felt like a single glance could kill him. The thought alone nearly made him pale, but he quickly stuffed it down, trying to test their intentions instead…

But just as quickly, his earlier shock melted away, replaced by a surge of battle lust!

Who was Tang San? The supreme powerhouse of Star Dou, twin divine inheritances of the Shura God and Sea God, possessor of twin martial souls.

He was sure that no matter how strong the people of this world were, with all his hidden aces and the explosive power of his Clear Sky Hammer, he could hold his own for a few rounds. That was his pride and foundation as a top expert!

A cold glint flashed in Tang San’s eyes. In his left hand, the Sea God Trident materialized out of nowhere.

“So, you five must be the strongest in this world, huh? I’m curious—how big is the gap between us? Care to give me some pointers?”

Tang San stepped forward, twirling his trident before pointing it directly at the five.

    “Huh?”

Nangong Wentian and the other four exchanged bewildered looks, wondering if they’d misheard.

Who’d have thought—Sword Gods, the highest of their kind—would one day get taunted by a foreigner?

And that guy’s cultivation… honestly, in the Upper Sword Qi Continent, Sword Qi Realm was as low as it got.

【Sword Qi Continent Realm Hierarchy: Sword Practitioner, Sword Qi, Sword Sea, Sword King, Sword Emperor, Sword Saint—each with nine levels】

【Sword God, Peerless Sword God, Jade Sword God, Radiant Sword God—all split into Lower, Middle, and Heavenly Ranks】

【Eternal Sword God stands at the very top—a creator of worlds, the source of all things】

Watching the five gape in surprise, Tang San assumed they were simply afraid, that they didn’t have the guts to accept his challenge…

The corner of his lips ticked up.

“So even the so-called strongest in this world aren’t much—how dull,” Tang San sighed and put away the Sea God Trident.

    “Wait!”

A voice rang out, halting Tang San.

“Hmm?” Tang San looked up, puzzled. “Is there something you need from me?”

“So you really want to spar, foreigner?” The White-Clad Fairy raised an eyebrow at Tang San, but her tone stayed gentle. “Then I’ll accept the challenge. Just, if you lose, do us a favor and answer a few questions honestly.”

    “Wow… what a beautiful woman…”

The sight of the White-Clad Fairy’s true features made Tang San’s eyes brighten and the words slipped from his lips.

He quickly shook his head, scolding himself, “No way, I already have Xiao Wu. How could I let myself be swayed by another woman…”

“Alright, deal! I’ll take you up on it!” Tang San cast a meaningful look at the White-Clad Fairy.

“Well… could you release your real cultivation first? I’d hate to accidentally kill you…”

The White-Clad Fairy glanced sideways at Tang San, a hint of embarrassment in her voice.

Tang San’s face dropped. “Excuse me? Miss, don’t think just because you’re beautiful you can look down on me! Why would a God King like me bother hiding my strength?”

The White-Clad Fairy blinked, then hurried to explain, “No, that’s not it! I just meant, your strength seems a bit low right now… Didn’t mean anything by it.”

“I was only thinking of your safety. If my words offended you, please don’t take it to heart.”

Tang San couldn’t help but laugh, “So you think I’m weak? Then tell me, miss—are you stronger than a God King?”

“Eh?” The White-Clad Fairy was totally lost for a moment before asking, “God King? What’s that? Never heard of it before…”

“Come on, White-Clad Fairy, you’re a lower-rank Sword God at least—don’t bully the guy,” Nangong Wentian chuckled, shaking his head.

Watching the lot of them, Tang San finally got it—they were looking down on him, plain and simple.

A burst of anger crashed through his mind. He clenched his fists, ready to vent the frustration boiling inside.

He shouted at the five, “If you’re scared, just say so. No need to make excuses! If you don’t have the guts, just admit it!”

“Well then, have it your way. If you’d like a match, our arena just happens to be free. Follow us,”

Nangong Wentian eyed Tang San’s determination and had no choice but to sigh and agree.

    “Whoosh whoosh!”

Several figures took off toward the arena.

Tang San tried to fly after them, but realized with frustration that he couldn’t use his soul power in this new world.

Just as he started growing dejected, something unexpected happened.

He discovered he could actually absorb the spirit energy here!

Even more shocking: he could wield a sliver of divine power here. What’s more, his realm bottleneck seemed a bit shaky—almost ready to break through…

Those discoveries sent him spinning from shock and gloom to blazing excitement.

He paused for a moment, sensing the changes in his body, then burst out laughing:

“Ha! Who would’ve thought—so the world outside Star Dou is this much fun! After this is over, I’ll rebuild Tang Sect right here!”

“With my Tang Sect secret arts and the hidden Xuantian Treasure Record, I’ll make a name for myself in this world. I’ll even create a brand new God Realm!”

    “Whoosh!”

Tang San’s figure vanished, racing toward Tianwu Arena.
