Chapter Index

With a flicker of thought Gu Qingyi summoned the Mercy Sword back to his hand, the blade that had hung ominously over the Six Monsters now resting at his side.

“Holy Master, the task you entrusted to me is complete. I’ll take my leave now!” Gu Qingyi cast a sidelong glance at Nangong Wentian who stood on the presiding platform.

Nangong Wentian blinked in surprise before chuckling. “Very well, I won’t keep you then!”

Gu Qingyi gave a satisfied nod. His gaze swept over the crowd below until it landed on Nangong Lin seated on a chair. A faint smirk curled his lips.

    “Whoosh!”

In an instant his figure vanished from where he stood.

The next moment before Nangong Lin could react he swept her into a tight embrace.

“Who are you?” Nangong Lin asked in confusion while pounding on Gu Qingyi’s back with her fists.

Gu Qingyi’s voice deepened. “Lian’er, don’t tell me you can’t even recognize your own husband’s voice?”

Nangong Lin froze and stammered. “Huh?”

Without waiting for her to say more Gu Qingyi scooped her up into his arms and leapt into the air.

“Holy Master, I’m taking Lian’er with me. You don’t mind, do you?” Gu Qingyi glanced back at Nangong Wentian with a playful grin.

Nangong Wentian coughed lightly as if to clear his throat. “I have no objections. The question is whether Lian’er agrees…”

Gu Qingyi’s smirk widened. “Then I’m at ease. As for Lian’er… of course she agrees!”

Nangong Lin’s eyes widened in shock. “You jerk! I haven’t agreed to anything! Who gave you the right to decide for me?”

Seizing the moment as she opened her mouth to protest Gu Qingyi stole a quick kiss and grinned. “See? You’ve agreed now, haven’t you?”

“You…” Nangong Lin was at a loss for words.

Gu Qingyi took in her flustered expression with amusement, fully aware of the countless eyes watching them.

    “Whoosh!”

Holding Nangong Lin close he soared into a rift in the Void that had opened nearby.

As the two disappeared inside the Void rift began to close slowly behind them…

Back on the ground the stunned disciples stood frozen while Tang San was overcome with wild joy.

Tang San sprinted toward the spot where they had fallen earlier. He couldn’t wait a second longer to see her—the one he’d longed for, Xiao Wu!

Taking giant strides Tang San weaved through the disciples blocking his path. After racing ten miles he finally spotted the revived Six Monsters.

The Six Monsters sat in a deep crater, their eyes filled with confusion as they scanned their surroundings.

Dai Mubai paused before speaking. “It feels like we’ve arrived in a completely foreign world. But why isn’t Little San with us?”

“I can’t access my divine power or spirit energy anymore. Instead there’s this strange new force in my body. It’s so weird.”

Oscar lowered his head in puzzlement, inspecting his hands as if they held the answer.

Ma Hongjun chimed in with a nod. “Yeah, my instincts tell me this world is far more advanced than our Douluo Continent!”

“Could something have happened to Brother San? Should we go look for him?” Xiao Wu glanced at the other five with worry etched on her face.

Ning Rongrong stood and gently patted Xiao Wu’s head with a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry Xiao Wu. With all of Brother San’s skills he’ll be fine!”

Zhu Zhuqing nodded in agreement. “She’s right Xiao Wu. Rongrong’s got a point. Brother San will be okay. Let’s head out and see what’s going on.”

Just then a flurry of noisy footsteps echoed from above the crater.

Hearing the sound everyone instantly went on guard.

“Stay sharp everyone!” Dai Mubai’s face hardened as he stretched out an arm to shield the others behind him.

    “Thud!”

A small stone rolled down from the edge above.

The Six Monsters tensed at the noise, their eyes locked on the rim of the crater with unwavering focus.

As their nerves stretched taut a head crowned with blue hair peeked over the edge.

“Who are you?” Ma Hongjun pointed at the figure and barked with a sharp tone.

Tang San, perched at the crater’s edge, heard that familiar voice and couldn’t hold back. “Thank goodness! Fatty, you’re really back!”

Ma Hongjun blinked in shock before exclaiming. “Wait, is that you, Brother San?!”

“What! Little San, it’s you!” Dai Mubai’s voice rang with astonishment.

Hearing those familiar voices a wave of relief and joy washed over Tang San. The feeling of regaining what he’d lost surged through him. Taking a deep breath he leapt down into the crater.

    “Thump!”

Tang San landed lightly on the ground below.

    “Brother San!”

Xiao Wu caught sight of that familiar figure and instinctively threw herself into his arms.

Caught off guard by her sudden lunge Tang San froze for a moment. But as he recognized the beloved figure before him his worry melted into a radiant smile. “Thank goodness, you’re all alive. This isn’t a dream. I thought I’d be left alone forever…”

“Little San, what’s going on? I remember we died in the spacetime tunnel, didn’t we?” Dai Mubai asked with a puzzled frown.

Oscar nodded slowly before adding. “Yeah Little San. Weren’t we torn apart by the spacetime rift? How are we here now?”

Tang San saw the confusion on their faces. Gently pushing Xiao Wu back a step he paused before explaining everything.

“The God Realm of Douluo Continent was struck by a violent spacetime turbulence. It was so dangerous that you were nearly shredded to pieces…”

“Luckily I managed to shield you six with the Heaven and Earth Shield. It protected your bodies from being destroyed, though even with its power…”

“Your souls still perished during the journey through the spacetime tunnel. When the tunnel finally opened we ended up in this world.”

“The people here are incredibly strong—beyond imagination. Even a God King from our world would be considered the lowest rank in this place…”

“As for why you’ve been brought back to life I know you must be wondering. Just moments ago someone tore open a Void rift and stepped out.”

“That person wielded a sword and with a casual wave revived all six of you.”

“I know it sounds impossible—absurd even—but the proof is right before me. You’re truly alive again…”

    “What?!”

The other six stared at Tang San with wide eyes. The events he described were simply too unbelievable for them to grasp.

Zhu Zhuqing hesitated before speaking. “Brother San, why can’t I use any of the powers we gained on Douluo Continent?”

“Yeah Brother San. My Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda is gone. My Spirit Rings and Spirit Bones are missing too. What’s happening?” Ning Rongrong asked with a furrowed brow.

“My Sausage Martial Soul is gone as well. Now there’s this strange new energy inside me.” Oscar lowered his head with a sigh.

Tang San shook his head gravely. “This third force flowing through us now is called spiritual energy in this world. It’s used for cultivation…”

“But having three different forces mixed together is causing chaos in our bodies. We must abandon everything we learned before.”

“We need to start over and cultivate using this world’s methods and techniques. If we don’t our bodies won’t be able to handle this power and we’ll explode from the inside!”

    “What?! How can this be…”

The six felt a chill run through them. They hadn’t expected this chaotic energy raging within them to be called spiritual energy.

Yet they knew Tang San spoke the truth. If they let this power run unchecked they wouldn’t last half a day before their bodies gave out…”

Thinking of this a flicker of panic crossed their faces—a raw fear of death gripping their hearts.
