Chapter 175: Peerless Cliff: The Outer Sect
by xennovelMa Hongjun said anxiously, “So, Brother San, what are we supposed to do now? We can’t just sit around and let our bodies explode, can we? Come on, you have to think of something!”
“He’s right, Little San. If we just leave it like this, we’ll all blow ourselves up within half a day!” Dai Mubai let out a heavy sigh.
“Don’t worry, everyone. I already have an idea. Let’s all join Heavenly Martial Sacred Land together. That way we’ll not only have a place to settle down, but we can actually keep cultivating!”
Tang San flashed a small smile and slung his arms around the necks of the two standing behind him.
Ning Rongrong asked with a hint of worry, “But Brother San, will they even let us join? Or do we even have the talent for it?”
“Well…” Tang San hesitated. He hadn’t thought about it—talent and ability mattered for joining any group, and Douluo Continent was no exception. Let alone worlds beyond. But right now, he could only gamble on a desperate hope.
After a pause, Tang San spoke, “Trust me, the Holy Master here already gave me his word. I doubt he’ll refuse to let us in…”
“If that’s the case, we might as well try.” Zhu Zhuqing exhaled a sigh of relief.
“Brother San, let’s go then?” Xiao Wu bounded forward and wrapped her arms around Tang San’s.
Tang San looked up at the deep blue sky above, and without hesitation scooped Xiao Wu into his arms before leaping out of the pit in one effortless motion.
He gently set Xiao Wu down, then turned to help the others still trapped inside.
Gritting his teeth, he gathered all the power in his body, preparing to unleash Blue Silver Bind to pull the rest out.
He knew that once he used this skill, everything from the Douluo Continent would disappear for good. A glint of determination flashed across his eyes.
“Blue Silver Bind!”
Tang San lifted his hand, releasing a torrent of blue vines toward the others.
The blue vines shot out and instantly wound themselves tightly around the arms of all five.
Seeing this, Tang San gave it everything he had, his grip tightening on the vines as he pulled with all his might.
“Thud!”
All five were yanked out of the pit by sheer force.
“Crack!”
The blue silver grass on everyone vanished into nothingness in the blink of an eye.
“Guh!”
A rush of heat rose in Tang San’s throat and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.
“Brother San, are you okay?” Xiao Wu hurried over to steady him as he staggered.
The others, just hauled out of the pit, shouted in unison, “Little San! Brother San!”
“I’m fine! Everything I had from Douluo Continent just disappeared, but honestly, it’s probably for the best. Now I can focus on training in this world’s arts!”
Tang San stretched a hand to hold the group back, flashing a reassuring smile.
Tianwu Arena.
The Holy Masters of the Eight Sacred Lands, along with their Holy Maidens, returned to their own Sanctuaries after bidding farewell to Nangong Wentian…
Nangong Wentian watched as Tang San still hadn’t come back yet. He glanced at the White-Clad Fairy standing beside him.
He instructed, “White-Clad Fairy, would you please check on Tang San? If he’s fine, then take the group to the outer sect to test their talents.”
“Understood, Holy Master!” White-Clad Fairy clasped her fists and bowed.
“Whoosh!”
A flash of white vanished on the spot.
The White-Clad Fairy darted through the air, pausing right over Tang San and his companions.
“Who’s there!” Dai Mubai looked up warily, eyes locked on the white figure.
Tang San gave an awkward laugh. “Boss Dai, that’s the White-Clad Fairy—she’s from the sect we want to join.”
White-Clad Fairy raised a brow, scanning the group before her gaze settled on Tang San.
“Tang San, are these your friends? Is your body alright? If so, we’ll head to the outer sect right now…”
“I’m alright, and these are all my friends—and loved ones. Thank you for your help, White-Clad Fairy.” Tang San smiled and waved.
“Good…” White-Clad Fairy didn’t say more.
She lifted her hand and sent a breeze sweeping down, wrapping all seven tightly within it.
“Whoosh!”
The group vanished on the spot…
In the blink of an eye, they arrived atop a towering, jaw-dropping cliff that seemed to pierce the clouds.
All around them, a sea of rolling mist and the faint flow of immortal energy made it feel like they’d stepped into a panorama straight from legend.
The cliff was covered end to end with peach trees, their pink petals fluttering in the wind and painting a stunning scene.
Behind the cliff stood a colossal building, its size and grandeur absolutely breathtaking.
At its entrance, crowds of disciples in crisp white uniforms bustled to and fro.
Both men’s and women’s outfits were cut simply and elegantly, each one boldly emblazoned on the back with the words ‘Heavenly Martial Sacred Land.’
High above the massive building, two imposing plaques hung proudly, each one bearing the words ‘Outer Sect.’
White-Clad Fairy spun lightly and turned to the group with a gentle smile. “This place is called Peerless Cliff. It’s our Heavenly Martial Sacred Land’s outer sect.”
Ning Rongrong’s eyes widened in delight, her voice full of wonder. “Wow! This place is so beautiful, like something from a fairyland!”
“Sister Fairy, since this place is built on sheer cliffs, how does everyone come and go?” Xiao Wu asked, curiosity bubbling over.
White-Clad Fairy grinned. “It’s simple really—we fly!”
The others stared in shock. Looking down, the abyss below looked easily a hundred thousand meters deep.
White-Clad Fairy took all this in, then gracefully turned and called out, “Bai Shishi, come out here!”
“I’m here, Sister Fairy!”
A cheerful voice rang out from the outer sect gates.
A white-clad figure leapt up from the ground, landing right in front of White-Clad Fairy.
The girl was striking, with delicate features and a flawless figure.
“Sister Fairy, I missed you so much! You haven’t visited the outer sect in ages!” The girl gave White-Clad Fairy a bear hug.
White-Clad Fairy was taken aback but said, “Shishi, not now! People are watching, and I’m here on official business today.”
Confusion flashed in Bai Shishi’s eyes. “Huh? Sister Fairy, you’re here for something important today?”
“That’s right. I need you to test their talents, then help them find a place to stay in the outer sect.”
White-Clad Fairy turned and pointed at Tang San and his group.
Bai Shishi’s eyes sparkled. “Ooh! So you’re the new junior brothers and sisters!”
She let go of White-Clad Fairy and went right up to Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong, her hand quickly reaching out to Xiao Wu’s rabbit ears.
Bai Shishi blinked. “Whoa, junior sister, are those bunny ears real?”
Xiao Wu gave an awkward laugh. “They’re just decorations—I wear them because I think they’re cute.”
“Really?” Bai Shishi then pinched Ning Rongrong’s soft cheeks. “Junior sister, how do you keep your skin so perfect? It’s like porcelain…”
“Uh, well…” Ning Rongrong was a bit at a loss for words.
White-Clad Fairy spun around with a flash of irritation and shouted, “Bai! Shi! Shi! Are you just going to stand there? Get to it!”
Bai Shishi froze, scratching her head in embarrassment. “I just think the new juniors are adorable…”
White-Clad Fairy raised an eyebrow in warning.
“I’ll get right on it!” With a jolt, Bai Shishi grabbed Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong by the hands. “Come on, everyone—follow your senior sister!”
White-Clad Fairy turned to the others. “Go on. From now on, this is your home.”
“Thank you, White-Clad Fairy!” the five said together, giving her a respectful bow.
White-Clad Fairy curled her finger with a gentle motion, sending the group directly into the outer sect.
“Whoosh!”
In a blink, she vanished from sight.
