Chapter Index

“Ding~ Congratulations, Host! You’ve completed the first and third missions. Special rewards are now being issued.”

“Invincible Aura and one Advancement Realm Card, which lets you ignore all rules and jump a major realm directly. Host, would you like to use them right now?”

Gu Qingyi froze for a second, then his expression brightened. “I almost forgot if you hadn’t reminded me. Use them both—right away!”

“Sure thing, Daddy Host. Dahuang will activate Invincible Aura and the Advancement Realm Card for you right now!”

    “Ding~ Invincible Aura activated successfully!”

    “Boom!”

A surge of incredible power erupted from Gu Qingyi, making him seem more unfathomable than ever.

He looked down, examining the changes in his body, and murmured, “So this is the Invincible Aura? Not bad at all!”

“Ding~ Advancement Realm Card activated successfully!”

    “Hah!”

Gu Qingyi’s eyes blazed with golden light. Instantly, a boundless pillar of radiance shot from his body, piercing the heavens.

The entire Void of the Universe was illuminated, and even the Alien Race watching from afar shuddered in terror.

Gu Qingyi’s aura climbed higher and higher.

He rose from Mid Peerless Sword God to High Peerless Sword God, then to Low Jade Sword God, and finally landed at Mid Jade Sword God!

【Sword Qi Continent Realm Progression: Sword Practitioner Realm, Sword Qi Realm, Sword Sea Realm, Sword King Realm, Sword Emperor Realm, Sword Saint Realm—each with Nine Stages】

【Sword God, Peerless Sword God, Jade Sword God, Radiant Sword God—each divided into Low, Mid, and High Positions】

【Eternal Sword God and Creation God stand above all, as the creators of all things】

Suddenly, Gu Qingyi snapped his eyes open, a more magnificent golden light bursting out and flooding the land around him.

“So this is the power of a Mid Jade Sword God? My body feels like it’s overflowing with endless energy!”

“Those two Heavenly Demons of Greed and Corruption from before? Now I could crush them a hundred thousand times over with just a flick of my finger!”

Gu Qingyi glanced at the void behind him, an amused curve forming on his lips. He raised his hand, fingers forming a sword, then casually slashed out.

    “Swish!”

A dazzling sword light shot from Gu Qingyi, splitting the air like lightning.

    That sword light seemed endless.

In the blink of an eye, it sliced the entire void—and the air around it—clean in two, leaving behind a chasm so vast it defied belief.

    “Bang!”

Though it had looked like a careless swing, that sword strike carried unimaginable power.

At that moment, the infinite Cosmic Void was suddenly split in two without warning.

Countless stars were ground into dust beneath the rampaging sword qi. Millions of Alien Race beings, caught off-guard, vanished from existence in an instant—wiped from the world forever.

Meanwhile, even Sword Qi Continent in the Upper Realm nearly fell apart from the aftershocks.

Every living being on Sword Qi Continent felt their world tremble violently all at once.

Yet that sense of catastrophe disappeared as quickly as it arrived, leaving people with only fear and confusion lingering in their hearts.

Gu Qingyi quickly withdrew that overwhelming aura, his gaze locking onto the mysterious opening below.

At that moment, an indescribable feeling of blood-deep connection surged through him—like some force was pouring out from deep within the cave ahead, drawing him closer, step by step.

“Dahuang, let’s go! It’s time to see if that cave is really the legendary Blackwater Prison!”

“No problem, Daddy Host!” Dahuang replied, brimming with excitement.

Before the words were even finished, two shadows shot into the cave as fast as lightning.

Inside, darkness pressed in from all sides. It felt like they’d plunged into a bottomless pit.

The air was thick with dampness and a rotten stench.

This was, without a doubt, Blackwater Prison—the place the Alien Race used to imprison the strongest humans.

Looking up, they saw cold iron cells on every side. Some were stacked haphazardly with piles of bone-white skeletons. Occasionally, the sharp drip of water echoed violently in the silence.

Just then, at the mouth of the cave, two figures flashed into sight—Gu Qingyi and Dahuang, seeking the truth within.

Gu Qingyi stared at the grim scene before him, frowning tightly. He wondered if anyone imprisoned here could still be alive, or had they long since perished?

The piles of bones in the nearby cages seemed to confirm his fear.

He let out a sigh and lifted his hand. With a sharp snap, a brilliant light burst from his palm, illuminating the pitch-black depths of Blackwater Prison.

“Dahuang, I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Let’s split up to cover more ground—maybe we’ll find something.”

    “You got it, Daddy Host!”

With those words, Gu Qingyi and Dahuang darted off in different directions, inspecting cage after cage as they raced by.

    Unfortunately,

Every single cage held nothing but the weathered remains of once-mighty human warriors. Blackwater Prison was immense—at least a hundred thousand cells in total.

Not a single one was spared—all filled only with the bones of dead human cultivators.

Judging from the bones, it was clear their owners had once been extraordinary.

Most of them had reached the verge of Sword God Realm—just a step away from the most supreme realm.

That explained why, even after centuries had passed and their flesh had faded away, their bones still endured in this world.

Every bone was a witness to a lifetime’s trials—each one holding stories and lingering power.

After breaking into the Sword God Realm, life changes completely: immortality is achieved—death loses all meaning.

Even if the body is destroyed and bones reduced to nothing, the soul remains, persisting in mysterious ways.

Oftentimes, it’s about waiting for the right moment to seize a new vessel and take control.

Or sometimes, a soul will choose to reincarnate, carrying memories from a former life into a brand new beginning.

But there’s an even rarer, more mysterious path: after countless years of waiting, when all conditions are right, the soul can revive itself right where the bones rest—coming back in its original body.

That’s the true reason a Sword God can live forever—never to perish.

Gu Qingyi searched every cage up ahead, but to his disappointment…

Every single cell held only skeletons, not a single trace of life anywhere.

As he pressed on, the air grew damper and rank, the shadows closing in like a corner of hell itself.

Still, Gu Qingyi refused to give up.

He moved on with determination until an impenetrable black wall finally blocked his way.

He stared at the wall, then shook his head helplessly. This path was utterly cut off.

At the same time, on the opposite side, Dahuang ran into the same dead end as Gu Qingyi.

One man and one dog, both halted by the same wall, heavy-hearted. In the end, all they could do was sigh and turn slowly back the way they’d come.
