Chapter 197: Wish Fulfilled
by xennovel“Lian’er, don’t you even breathe?” Gu Qingyi paused, his gaze tinged with suspicion as he stared at Nangong Lin’s flushed little face.
“Jerk!” Nangong Lin fought back her embarrassment, raising her hand to slap Gu Qingyi across the face.
In a flash Gu Qingyi reached out, firmly grasping the delicate pale hand before him.
With a swift motion he pinned both of her hands above her head, pressing her against the wall in a classic kabedon.
“Ah!” Nangong Lin’s mind went blank in that instant, her voice trembling with nerves. “What… what are you trying to do?”
“Lian’er, I want…” Gu Qingyi gazed at her with deep affection.
Nangong Lin caught the look in his eyes and instantly understood what Gu Qingyi was after.
Swallowing hard she stammered, “N-no way! That kind of thing has to wait until after we’re married!”
Gu Qingyi gave a slight smile. “Lian’er, I’m struggling to hold back. How about we get on the ride first and buy the ticket later? You’re not agreeing to marriage just yet!”
“You!” Nangong Lin’s eyes widened. She knew Gu Qingyi wasn’t joking—he meant every word!
Seeing her fall silent, a flicker of joy passed through Gu Qingyi’s eyes. Without waiting for her to speak, he leaned in.
Without another word he kissed her deeply, sending Nangong Lin’s heart racing as her body burned like a flame.
“Mmm…” Nangong Lin’s body trembled slightly as she gasped for air. She felt if this continued her body might turn strange…
Gu Qingyi pulled back, gently brushing her cheek with his hand and whispering into her ear with a soft breath, “Lian’er, is it okay? Your husband feels like he might break if he doesn’t let go soon…”
“Ahem!” Nangong Lin’s eyes were hazy as she looked at Gu Qingyi, biting her lip in embarrassment. “Just once! Only this one time! After this, no touching until we’re married! And don’t get the wrong idea—I’m only doing this because I can’t bear to see you suffer!”
“What!” Gu Qingyi’s expression froze for a moment before lighting up with excitement. “Lian’er, did you just agree to my request?”
“Mm…” Nangong Lin murmured softly, turning her head away in shy embarrassment.
A wide grin spread across Gu Qingyi’s face as he scooped Nangong Lin up into his arms without hesitation.
He wished he could take three steps at once as he hurried to the nearest private room.
Looking at the tightly shut door, he lifted his foot and gave it a light kick.
“Bang!”
The door swung open.
With an eager stride he used his heel to nudge the door shut behind him.
His eyes fell on the pristine white bed, then shifted to the shy Nangong Lin in his arms.
Carefully he approached the bed, gently laying her down as if afraid to hurt her even slightly.
Nangong Lin nervously ran her fingers over the soft bedding beneath her, her heart pounding like a drum ready to burst from her chest.
Faced with something like this, she was utterly clueless… The last time it happened was out of necessity… and those techniques…
She had secretly learned them from little figures in illustrated books, but when it came to the real thing…
As she glanced away, her eyes widened in shock to see Gu Qingyi shedding his outer robe beside her…
“Um… I don’t have any experience, so please be gentle later… And draw the curtains!”
Her face burned red with shyness as she hurriedly pulled the blanket over herself.
Hearing this, Gu Qingyi’s body stiffened for a moment before he quickly stood and silently drew the curtains closed.
Then he softly reassured her, “Don’t worry Lian’er, I’ll be as gentle as I can…”
“Mm…” Nangong Lin gave a faint nod.
Their lips slowly met, and soon scattered clothes littered the bedside…
A soft moan drifted through the air, the room filling with a warm and loving atmosphere…
As if everything was meant to be…
After hours of exertion, both collapsed in exhaustion and fell asleep…
Time slipped by, and several hours passed.
The room now glowed with the warmth of spring…
Gu Qingyi’s eyelashes fluttered as he slowly opened his eyes, turning to see the peacefully sleeping figure beside him.
A tender smile curved his lips as he leaned over to place a gentle kiss on her forehead.
“Lian’er, your husband held back for too long. I might have hurt you a little just now. Rest for a while. As for that little cake, I’ll figure something out!”
With that, Gu Qingyi quickly got up and dressed himself neatly with the clothes scattered on the floor.
He then carefully tucked the blanket over Nangong Lin’s pale figure, leaving only her head peeking out.
“Lian’er, I’m heading out now. Sleep a bit longer…” Gu Qingyi placed another soft kiss on her forehead.
As his words faded…
He quietly stood, opened the door, and stepped out, gently pulling it shut behind him.
“Creak!”
The door slowly closed…
On the bed, Nangong Lin—who had seemed fast asleep—suddenly snapped her eyes open, a faint smile playing on her lips.
“So that’s what the figures in those books were doing? I never thought it could feel this good… It’s not bad at all…”
“Though he was a bit rough at times, and it hurt a little, he’s still pretty considerate. I’ll forgive him for sneaking my little cake!”
With a blissful smile, Nangong Lin pulled the blanket tighter around herself.
She soon drifted into a deep slumber…
…………
Having just left the private room, Gu Qingyi’s face radiated joy, his steps light as a breeze.
Humming a little tune, his happiness was unmistakable as he strolled unknowingly to the entrance.
Looking up, he spotted Dahuang drooling under the Enlightenment Tree… He walked over and gave Dahuang a light nudge with his foot.
“Who’s there!” Dahuang jolted in surprise, its previously shut eyes snapping open. Seeing Gu Qingyi, it instantly shrank back in fear.
“Dahuang, what’s wrong with you? Relax, I’m not going to hit you today.” Gu Qingyi crouched down.
“Is that true?” Dahuang stared at the beaming Gu Qingyi with a dumbfounded expression, unsure whether to believe him…
Gu Qingyi blinked, his face serious. “I’ve said it, so how could it be false?”
Dahuang’s pupils dilated in shock, its eyes locked on Gu Qingyi’s smug face.
It sensed a hint of conspiracy but couldn’t quite place it… After hesitating, it decided to probe, “Host Daddy, you’re in such a good mood. Did something happy happen?”
Gu Qingyi coughed lightly. “Dahuang, no need to call me Host Daddy anymore. We’ve unbound our connection, and you’re the system’s owner now.”
“From now on, just call me Big Bro. Of course, when it comes to tasks, you’ll still need to handle them yourself!”
Dahuang froze for a moment before nodding. “Alright Big Bro, but where’s Big Sis?”
“Her?” Gu Qingyi hesitated, a thoughtful look crossing his face. “Oh right, we worked hard for a few hours, and she’s exhausted.”
“She’s probably still fast asleep inside. Let’s not disturb her!”
Dahuang’s little brain struggled to process this, feeling something was off but unable to pinpoint why…
