Chapter 16: Overwhelming Victory

“I’m not dreaming, right…”

A boy in the audience muttered to himself. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, it would have been impossible to imagine that the previously frail and pitiable Little Spider could be the same creature as this terrifying demon now strolling through the void, weaving webs to bind living beings.

“Ying—”

Little Spider stood atop the copper-armored baboon’s head, an Eye of Void squirming behind it, spreading a boiling murderous intent that even seemed to lower the temperature around it.

It didn’t care about the others’ mockery or ridicule, because in its eyes, its master was its entire world. Being by his side was all it needed to feel content.

The mockery of reptiles could not perturb an elephant.

But if one attempted to tarnish the treasure it cherished, then they would be crushed into pulp by the enraged behemoth.

And Qi Wei slandering Lu Yu was precisely what touched Little Spider’s raw nerve. Not even the blindfold used to stabilize its spirit could keep it calm.

So, it attacked directly.

In the void, strands of spider silk spread out and instantly bound the copper-armored baboon, transmitting illusions through the threads and knocking it unconscious, locking it into a small dream prison.

Despite being weak from hunger, as a cub with the potential of a tyrant, and particularly one with the bug-like ability of space manipulation, it did not have a hard time against an opponent who was strong but simple-minded.

After accomplishing this, Little Spider grew even hungrier. With a light flick of its finger, the spider silk wrapped around the copper-armored baboon suddenly tightened.

Crack, crack, crack!

With a series of ear-piercing, sharp sounds, countless threads began to entwine, tighten, and their friction sparked fires which, however, could not burn through the almost infinitely vast spider silk. The baboon’s tough copper skin instantly shattered, and metal fragments clattered to the ground.

Without the protection of its armor, the baboon’s flesh and blood body naturally could not withstand these tenacious threads. Its skin was sliced open, numerous beads of blood oozing out, leaving it suspended mid-air – looking like a sausage about to be sliced into countless segments. It was unspeakably horrific.

Even though the copper-armored baboon was still in a dream, it couldn’t help but show a look of agony.

“So… So vicious!”

“Is this still a Dreamweaving Spider? Are we sure it’s not some abyssal demon in disguise?”

“Lu Yu really hid himself too deeply!”

The crowd that came to watch the battle was shocked too; they didn’t expect the Little Spider to deliver a killing blow the moment it took action, feeling something even more terrifying than ‘violent aesthetics’.

The overwhelming power of absolute strength!

Qi Wei, witnessing this scene, panicked and shouted: “Wake up!”

Perhaps due to the bond between the Beast Tamer and his beast, the copper-armored baboon’s body trembled and it suddenly woke up.

However, escaping the nightmare only brought it into a hellish reality!

“Wuwuwu…”

Overwhelming pain caused it to wail – the spider silk enveloping its body required no strength to constrict, and it could only watch helplessly as it was hoisted into the air.

Before long, it saw a black cloud emanating from the cross worn by the drastically beautiful Little Spider, from which vicious jaws brimming with sharp teeth emerged greedily advancing towards the copper-armored baboon, terrorizing it into constant screeching for help.

The referee was shocked too. If this kind of malicious incident really happened, it would be the end of their career. So, they immediately summoned their own Beast Tamer creature.

With the Beast Tamer formation flickering with light, a Gale Sparrow with shiny blue feathers and beginner elite rank appeared, air currents swirling around its body.

However, the moment it appeared, Little Spider cocked its head, the eyes behind its blindfold turning towards the referee.

It had sensed it!

The referee flinched, but before any command could be issued, the Eye of Void shone with purple radiance, charging up a void ray.

“Chirp chirp!”

The fatal danger contained within, even the Gale Sparrow could feel it; a direct hit meant certain death, and in panic, it quickly soared into the sky.

“Damn!”

The referee couldn’t help but curse aloud – was this really just a servant-class pet? While binding a Beast Tamer beast of the same class, it could still divide its attention to disturb an elite-class Gale Sparrow.

Although there was a difference in class and the Gale Sparrow could evade the Eye of Void through its speed advantage, the time spent would be enough for the copper-armored baboon to be devoured until nothing was left.

How on earth did this Beast Tamer train it? But wait, the Beast Tamer!

“Almost forgot, I can go to its Beast Tamer!”

Suddenly realizing, the referee quickly shouted at Lu Yu: “Lu Yu, make your Beast Tamer stop, attacking a classmate is against school rules and the law, don’t go astray…”

That is, even though Little Spider attacked suddenly, it was on the stage from the beginning, and combined with earlier provocation by Qi Wei, according to the rules, it could be considered a duel.

Since it’s a duel, the rules allow for forfeiting!

The black mouths ready to bite instantly shattered, the spider silk on the copper-armored baboon likewise dissolved, and, along with tufts of silk floating around, it fell hard to the ground, letting out weak wails.

However, the medical team, seeing the Little Spider still suspended in mid-air, didn’t dare approach for a while.

Finally, it was Lu Yu who walked over and put Little Spider back into his pocket, allowing the medical staff to come over for treatment.

Feeling the awe in the eyes around him, Lu Yu scoffed in his heart.

He always wanted to keep a low profile, but the world was constantly exploiting the weak every moment.

Only by showing strength could he achieve a stable life.

Feeling uninterested, he turned to leave but stopped suddenly when he passed by Qi Wei, looking at his classmate who was hunched over and trembling.

This action caused everyone’s breath to hitch.

The referee, too, was tense, facing not a student but as if a peer competitor.

He acted just like a fanatical fan who succeeded in chasing a star.

Meanwhile, the copper-armored baboon that was receiving treatment:

It turned its head away in grievance: So does love just vanish?

The referee was dumbfounded, sensing something off with Qi Wei’s mental status, and carefully asked: “He did this to you, and you’re not angry…?”

“Angry? Why? Lu Yu might seem harsh, but I noticed that his hits were all superficial. I should’ve realized sooner – a clever man like him wouldn’t make stupid moves. It was just the amount of bleeding that scared me.”

Qi Wei waved his hand nonchalantly and then slapped his forehead as if he had just remembered something, and hurriedly asked: “You have a portable recorder, right? Did you record me getting beaten up, especially that part where he said ‘don’t let this happen again’? That was so cool – send it to me on social media right away, I’m going to post it on my moments…”

Everyone else was dumbfounded; this script was totally different from the usual ‘small fry gets beaten, big shot avenges’ found in novels.

Hearing all this rambling, the referee had only one thought in mind:

“What the heck!”
