Chapter 268: Whispers of Desire
by xennovelAs they nuzzled heads, Lin Zheng Ran met Han Wenwen’s gaze.
Their eyes locked, each reflecting the other’s image in their pupils.
Without a word, their lips curved into mysterious smiles.
The Little Fox suddenly pouted and whined, “Brother Zheng Ran, why are you smiling?”
Lin Zheng Ran stared at this fox-like girl:
“I’m thinking that now our relationship is out in the open, you won’t be able to sneak around to see me anymore. After all those years of secrecy, I’m not sure if you’ll adjust to being so straightforward.”
“Why can’t I sneak around? I can be open and sneaky at the same time—I’ve got the upper hand!”
Han Wenwen didn’t get it, so she placed his hand on her chest:
“Doesn’t Brother Zheng Ran like it when I sneak to find you? I’ll keep sneaking, just like you said all those years ago…”
She repeated his old words one by one:
“Back then, Brother Zheng Ran said he’d spoil me the most. What does that mean? You can’t pretend you don’t know. I don’t want to be the main wife; I just want to be like your lover. I don’t need anything else—just a little extra spoiling from you.”
She leaned in to remind him, “Brother Zheng Ran, you can’t go back on your word!”
“Oh, I’ll keep my word.”
“So, I want you openly and secretly!”
Lin Zheng Ran felt something in the hand she held.
Clearly, this fox was up to her tricks.
She batted her eyes and bit her lip, looking utterly seductive.
The Little Fox caught his subtle expression: “Brother Zheng Ran, what are you thinking?”
Lin Zheng Ran wrapped his other arm around her waist, making her straighten up.
The hand she held slipped back and wandered mischievously under her clothes.
The Little Fox didn’t stop him; she just smiled.
Then, a click echoed in the car as something unfastened.
Han Wenwen blinked and kissed Lin Zheng Ran’s neck, her voice dropping low:
“Brother Zheng Ran, you’re so naughty. Ever since that thing you did recently, you’ve changed. You’re not like the old you who did nothing when we were alone. Now, you jump at every chance.”
“Isn’t that your doing?”
“Is it my fault?” Her warm breath brushed his neck. “Then, haven’t I done something great? Added some fun to your life, Brother Zheng Ran.”
They locked eyes again, faces drawing closer until their lips met in a real kiss.
Han Wenwen felt his wandering hands.
Her own hands were free now.
She cradled his head, savoring the kiss fully.
But it didn’t last long; Han Wenwen puffed her cheeks in jealousy. “It smells like Heqing and Lily. Brother Zheng Ran, how many times did you kiss them today? You haven’t kissed me in days!”
“You’re imagining things. I’m kissing you now, aren’t I? And in the girls’ bathroom, that was you I kissed.”
Han Wenwen’s lips curled up, but her eyes grew more jealous:
“Does Brother Zheng Ran really think I’m an idiot? Or a fool? Even if I didn’t get it at first, after a night, do you think I wouldn’t figure it out? My nose isn’t just for show!”
Her tone softened, laced with clear annoyance, a mix of shyness and anger—but mostly anger:
“What about my first time? Brother Zheng Ran, you didn’t give it to me! You said in the girls’ bathroom that there wasn’t enough time, that we’d get caught. I believed you!
But I think you’re just not interested in me anymore. You’ve seen too many beauties and lost your taste for me!”
Lin Zheng Ran fought a smile: “If I wasn’t interested, would I be touching you like this right now?”
Han Wenwen turned away, pouting: “Who knows? Since you didn’t give it to me, I can’t accept it. Unless Brother Zheng Ran makes it up to me.”
“What do you want?”
Despite her massive jealousy, Han Wenwen knew what was done was done. She pointed at the window: “Can people outside see inside the car?”
Lin Zheng Ran pulled down the window curtain.
“There’s a curtain, right? This car’s made for that sort of thing, so it came with everything when we rented it.”
With the curtain down, the car grew dimmer.
Han Wenwen let out a meaningful “Oh”; “In that case, let’s pull down the other curtains too. I like it darker in here.”
Han Wenwen gently stroked the side of Lin Zheng Ran’s face.
Not letting him speak:
“Brother Zheng Ran, don’t say we’re short on time this time. We all agreed—each of us gets three hours with you. Mine just started, and as the last one to negotiate, adding half an hour or an hour won’t hurt, right?”
Lin Zheng Ran realized: “So, the three hours idea was yours?”
Han Wenwen smirked, looking every bit the cunning fox:
“What else? I purposely lost last on purpose so that by my turn, it would be dark. I suggested three hours each—it’s a long time, I know, but even if it’s daytime for them, Brother Zheng Ran wouldn’t get a chance up on the mountain with all the tourists around. But now, at this time and place, no one can see what we do.”
Lin Zheng Ran chuckled helplessly.
Han Wenwen felt something and frowned, her face flushing as she stared into his eyes: “Brother Zheng Ran, you’re teasing me!”
“Then pull down all the curtains. We can even block the front windshield with the sunshade.”
“Okay!”
The Little Fox got up and pulled curtains over every window, using the sunshade for the front glass too.
The car plunged into deeper darkness.
Still, Han Wenwen could clearly make out Lin Zheng Ran’s silhouette.
This time, she didn’t sit on his lap; she sat beside him, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
“Brother Zheng Ran, with the curtains down, it’s so dark in here. I’m starving—haven’t eaten all day. Let’s grab something first.”
“Han Wenwen.”
She bit her lip and leaned back on his lap.
Lin Zheng Ran stroked her head.
He closed his eyes, quietly savoring the moment.
Half an hour later.
Han Wenwen lay flat on the back seat, gazing at her beloved Lin Zheng Ran.
She swallowed hard, cupping his face seductively:
“Brother Zheng Ran, I’ve waited so long for this. I’ll make sure you never forget me. Whenever you feel desire, you’ll think of me first. I love you, my master~”
A few hours passed, and night finally fell.
Inside the van, the scene was not for young eyes.
Back at the camping site, in the tent, Lily and Heqing sat inside.
One lounged like a duck, the other hugged her knees sweetly.
They watched shows and snacked.
Lily suddenly asked, “Heqing, do you think Han Wenwen will succeed?”
Heqing answered honestly, “There’s a chance, because Han Wenwen’s personality is different from ours. She’s always serious about things. I hope she pulls it off.”
