Chapter Index

Half a month later deep in the ocean’s depths.

Perched on the back of the Abyssal Sea Dragon Whale the Turtle Immortal Patriarch sent a message to Lu Changsheng who was resting inside its stomach chamber. “Master we’ve entered the Forbidden Sea’s territory.”

Lu Changsheng opened his eyes at the words. He brushed off his robes stepped out of the chamber had Lu Lingjing assume her human form and then they sped toward the Green Dragon King’s island.

The Forbidden Sea was demon territory riddled with powerful demon kings.

Rushing through here on the Abyssal Sea Dragon Whale might draw unwanted attacks from those kings.

Though they had no fear of any demon king below late fourth-rank.

But given the Abyssal Sea Dragon Whale’s semi-wanted status in the Starry Sea they preferred to avoid unnecessary trouble delays or wasted time.

And so another half month passed before Lu Changsheng and his companions smoothly arrived at Green Dragon Island home to the Green Dragon King.

The island spanned about ten miles grand and imposing.

Unlike human cultivators’ islands factions or immortal cities.

Aside from a faint lingering demonic aura it resembled an unclaimed island with no formations or barriers guarding it.

But Lu Changsheng saw right away that this island was merely a grand entrance linking to layered spirit veins beneath along with earth-sea fissures and the vast ocean.

Within those earth-sea fissures there must be some kind of restrictive mechanism.

“Green Dragon King it’s Fellow Daoist Wang here to repay the favor as promised.”

Lu Changsheng didn’t advance further. He cupped his hands toward the island and called out releasing a surge of Nascent Soul pressure around him.

    “A cultivator a human cultivator!?”

Though Green Dragon Island belonged to the Green Dragon King it still housed plenty of demon beasts and demons.

Sensing Lu Changsheng’s Nascent Soul aura they trembled in fear roaring uneasily.

But at that moment the waters around the island for a hundred miles began to boil and churn.

A terrifying demonic aura rose up like a dragon’s furious roar.

The demon beasts and kings on the island and in the sea immediately prostrated themselves quivering in awe as they welcomed their king.

Moments later a burly towering man appeared with ferocious dragon horns scales covering his cheeks neck and arms and a thick long dragon tail trailing behind.

His vertical pupils gleamed with a cold metallic sheen as he looked at Lu Changsheng surprise flickering in his eyes.

Then he grinned in admiration. “Human cultivator you’re truly exceptional. Freshly broken through to Nascent Soul and already wielding such potent magical energy.”

Even though Lu Changsheng hadn’t fully unleashed his magical pressure.

As a demon the Green Dragon King’s senses were razor-sharp.

He could tell Lu Changsheng’s magical might far surpassed that of a typical new Nascent Soul cultivator.

As he spoke he glanced at Lu Lingjing and the Turtle Immortal Patriarch behind Lu Changsheng.

Lu Lingjing he recognized at a glance as a demon king who’d recently broken through to fourth-rank and achieved shapeshifting.

The Turtle Immortal Patriarch was using his innate divine ability Turtle Breath appearing as a mere elderly servant. Even the Green Dragon King couldn’t gauge his depths.

But as a top-tier demon king he instantly sensed the Turtle Immortal Patriarch was no ordinary figure.

In that moment the Green Dragon King’s regard for Lu Changsheng rose a notch.

To have such overwhelming magical pressure so soon after reaching Nascent Soul.

And accompanied by a fourth-rank shapeshifting demon king plus an old servant he couldn’t easily see through this was no average person.

Far from feeling threatened the Green Dragon King was pleased.

After all how could some ordinary nobody possibly cure his “sister”?

Earlier he’d helped Lu Changsheng and earned this favor purely based on the prophecy from Dreamless and his wife.

Otherwise a mere Core Formation cultivator like Lu Changsheng even with a fourth-rank spirit pet and puppet wouldn’t have caught his eye.

“My breakthrough caused a slight delay. I hope you’ll forgive me Dragon King.”

Lu Changsheng cupped his hands speaking politely.

“No matter.” The Green Dragon King replied magnanimously.

For a fourth-rank demon king like him a few years were just a nap.

As long as Lu Changsheng didn’t drag it out for decades making him feel deceived he didn’t mind.

“Where is your sister now and what’s her current condition?”

Lu Changsheng sensed the Peach Blossom Gu stirring eagerly in his sea of consciousness. His face twitched slightly but he composed himself and asked seriously.

He had no ulterior motives regarding the Green Dragon King’s sister.

This trip was solely to repay the favor.

    “Follow me.”

The Green Dragon King’s voice boomed as he led Lu Changsheng and the others into the island.

As Lu Changsheng had suspected Green Dragon Island was just an entrance. The true cave residence lay in the underwater fissures beneath.

They navigated through layered cracks and tunnels arriving at a massive palace.

The entire palace was built from natural abyssal rock walls embedded with countless demon beast bones sea stones blood corals and luminous pearls.

Faint blue demonic energy flowed along the walls connecting to twelve dark pillars around the palace forming jagged lightning-like dragon shadows.

Lu Changsheng gazed at the palace before him astonishment stirring in his heart.

The palace seemed crude and simple lacking any luxurious design.

Yet the chaotic piling of materials on the rock walls combined with the formations and restrictions was ingeniously crafted far beyond what one would expect from a demon king’s abode.

Demons were born with powerful physiques and as they grew they awakened bloodline inheritances and innate divine abilities.

So most demons scorned studying divine abilities treasures or the hundred arts of cultivation.

Even fourth-rank shapeshifting demon kings with learning abilities on par with humans and long lifespans rarely delved into treasure forging palace construction formations or restrictions.

Thus Lu Changsheng was impressed by the Green Dragon King’s cave construction and formation skills.

He realized the Green Dragon King was even more extraordinary than he’d imagined.

    “Great King!”

“We pay respects to the Great King.”

Other demon kings occupied the palace.

Among them two fourth-rank demon kings bowed respectfully to the Green Dragon King then eyed Lu Changsheng and his group with surprise.

The Green Dragon King exuded authority nodding slightly to them before leading Lu Changsheng deeper into the palace.

This area felt like the ocean’s deepest abyss pitch black with everything dissolving into nothingness save for swirling shadowy formation restrictions like vortices.

Sensing the scene before him Lu Changsheng felt a dangerous aura.

He figured he’d need the Sun-Moon Yin-Yang Mirror to blast open a rift here.

The Turtle Immortal Patriarch eyed the setup surprise flickering in his gaze.

Having spent so long in the Forbidden Sea he’d naturally heard of the Green Dragon King.

Yet he hadn’t expected the king’s cave to have such mechanisms.

He remained hunched and expressionless like a frail elderly servant posing no threat.

But if anything went wrong he’d strike instantly unleashing the full might of a top-tier demon king!

Lu Lingjing instinctively edged closer to her master upon entering the palace a hint of fear in her eyes.

On one hand the Green Dragon King before her radiated danger and terror.

On the other the palace’s walls embedded with demon beast bones and the formations gave her an inexplicable sense of peril.

Especially the archway from the fissure tunnel to the palace she sensed it was made from a massive whale’s jawbone.

The Green Dragon King produced a token and the swirling shadows intertwined bursting with light creating spatial ripples.

Then on a massive concave bed carved from deep blue sea marrow jade lay a woman sealed in ice.

The woman’s body was remarkably tall nearly ten feet.

Her graceful form was draped in a blue-purple dress woven from dragon scales and shark silk perfectly outlining her curvaceous figure.

Her snow-white shoulders and delicate collarbones were exposed. Her arms appeared slender and elegant yet brimming with power covered in a layer of translucent blue-purple dragon scales like sleeves resting quietly on her flat abdomen.

Her legs were exceptionally long but unlike most female cultivators’ soft snowy thighs they were clad in deep blue and moon-white dragon scales.

Her feet differed from humans’ resembling dragon claws adorned with dark silver chains her toes gleaming blue-purple evoking an indescribable exotic beauty.

Her face was like a cold moon frosted over eyes tightly shut dark red lips slightly parted exhaling breaths laced with icy crystalline glow.

Two long spiraling coral dragon horns on her forehead shimmered with a deep sea pearl-like blue sheen.

Her blue-purple hair floated naturally behind her like jellyfish tendrils crystal clear and translucent.

“This is the Green Dragon King’s sister?”

Lu Changsheng stared at the woman on the jade bed stunned. He glanced at the Green Dragon King with his ferocious scale-covered face and thought these two are siblings?

They didn’t look alike at all.

Not just in appearance and features.

Even their scales and horns were different.

Clearly they were dragon types of entirely different bloodlines!

“Hiss hiss hiss!” The Peach Blossom Gu in his brow’s sea of consciousness now fully awake frantically called to Lu Changsheng.

It urged him to seize this chance forming a bond could yield immense peach blossom fortune.

“Fellow Daoist Wang this is my little sister.”

The Green Dragon King said to Lu Changsheng without explaining her condition.

If the other couldn’t even discern his sister’s situation how could he possibly treat her?

In that instant Lu Changsheng’s late Nascent Soul spirit keenly noticed the Green Dragon King gazing at this “sister” with a trace of reverence.

At the same time the Turtle Immortal Patriarch transmitted to Lu Changsheng “Master this woman is definitely not the Green Dragon King’s sister. She might be an Azure Dragon descendant!”

Lu Changsheng had only thought they didn’t resemble each other with different bloodline types.

As a demon the Turtle Immortal Patriarch instantly sensed a bloodline aura from the woman rivaling his own.

Such a bloodline far surpassed that of a low-tier true spirit like the Green Dragon King!

“Azure Dragon descendant?” Lu Changsheng remained expressionless.

“The strongest force in the Eastern Sea Cultivation Realm the Dragon Palace was established by the Azure Dragon Clan!”

“From my bloodline memories and Yuhai Mountain’s records this woman’s dragon horns resemble those of the Azure Dragon Clan.”

The Turtle Immortal Patriarch explained to Lu Changsheng.

Though hatched in the Starry Sea.

Through demon bloodline memories and Yuhai Mountain’s inherited texts he knew quite a bit about the Eastern Sea Cultivation Realm.

Though much of the information was incomplete leaving him unable to confirm everything.

    “Dragon Palace Azure Dragon Clan.”

Lu Changsheng murmured inwardly surprised by the woman’s immense background.

He activated his divine ability Fiery Eyes of Truth extending his divine sense to examine the woman’s condition.

In mere moments he identified the issue.

She wasn’t in a coma or deep sleep.

Rather she was desperately suppressing a rampaging uncontrollable power within her body.

This power was terrifying causing her state to destabilize.

    Beyond that she seemed poisoned.

The toxin entwined her body and soul leaving her in a half-comatose half-slumbering state.

“Green Dragon King was your sister poisoned or cursed by someone?”

    Lu Changsheng pondered before speaking.

“Since Fellow Daoist Wang can see my little sister’s condition do you have a way to treat her?”

Seeing Lu Changsheng quickly discern his master’s situation the Green Dragon King grinned.

“I need to examine your sister’s condition more closely to know for sure.” Lu Changsheng replied.

He’d identified the iced woman’s situation so quickly thanks to his late Nascent Soul spirit.

For specifics he’d need to break the ice seal and inspect her body in detail.

    “Very well.”

If Lu Changsheng were just an ordinary Nascent Soul cultivator unable to even see his “sister’s” condition the Green Dragon King wouldn’t allow further examination.

But now Lu Changsheng had demonstrated his skill earning his trust.

The Green Dragon King used his divine ability melting the ice crystals around the woman.

Instantly a scorching tyrannical aura surged from her body brimming with destruction and ruin.

Clearly the prior ice seal had been helping suppress this blazing tyrannical power.

“Such domineering power. What strength does this woman possess? Afflicted with deadly poison yet she can still endure and suppress such overwhelming force?”

Lu Changsheng was astonished realizing the woman’s power was no less than his own or the Green Dragon King’s.

He drew a deep breath his blood energy rumbling as his mid-fourth-rank physique fully awakened. His body glowed brilliantly and with a grave expression he approached to inspect her condition.

“Hmm?” The Green Dragon King noticed Lu Changsheng’s blood energy and physique. Surprise crossed his ferocious scale-covered face.

This human cultivator possessed a physique comparable to a mid-fourth-rank demon king?

True humans had body refinement techniques.

But no matter how they refined cultivators could hardly match demons like them.

Moreover hadn’t Lu Changsheng just broken through to Nascent Soul recently?

How had his physique reached such a level?

In that moment the Green Dragon King’s curiosity about Lu Changsheng grew.

He watched intently grave-faced waiting for Lu Changsheng to further assess his master’s condition.

With Lu Changsheng’s exceptional performance his expectations for treating his master soared.

Relying on his mid-fourth-rank physique Lu Changsheng ignored the scorching tyrannical aura spilling from the woman’s body. He placed a finger on her wrist checking the rampaging power and poison within.

Instantly he felt a toxin spreading from her body to his finger.

With his mid-fourth-rank physique and training in Hundred Refinements Body Technique and True Saint Skill of Brahma and Demons Lu Changsheng had extreme poison resistance.

His Chaos Body had even incorporated the top-tier poison body Calamity Poison Body making him virtually immune to all toxins.

Yet this deadly poison affected him slightly.

    A fourth-rank superior-grade deadly poison!

Lu Changsheng realized this toxin surpassed fourth-rank low and mid grades reaching a level that could threaten late Nascent Soul cultivators!

Only a poison of this caliber could impact him!

He activated his Chaos Body suppressing the spreading toxin.

After a few breaths Lu Changsheng withdrew his finger exhaling slowly now fully understanding the woman’s issues.

He looked at the tall ferocious-looking Green Dragon King covered in scales and said “Green Dragon King I’ve assessed your sister’s condition and have a general solution.”

    “Oh?”

The Green Dragon King hadn’t expected Lu Changsheng to identify the problem and propose a solution so quickly. Joy lit his face as he looked at him.

Though his savage menacing gaze and features created an overwhelming pressure.

Especially when he smiled his mouth splitting to reveal interlocking razor-sharp teeth.

“Your sister’s condition involves being afflicted with deadly poison along with an uncontrollable rampaging power within her body.”

“The solution is straightforward first detoxify then either excise or gain control over this unmanageable power.”

Lu Changsheng paused before continuing “As for the poison I can handle it but it affects not just the body but the soul making the process quite tricky.”

With his poison-immune Chaos Body and Ten Thousand Calamities Toxic Spirit Codex even a fourth-rank late-stage poison in her body was manageable for Lu Changsheng.

But while bodily toxins were easy to address soul toxins were far harder.

It required the other to open their soul.

    Setting aside whether she’d agree.

If anything went wrong during soul detoxification causing chaos in her soul consciousness and losing control of her inner power it would be disastrous.

Though Lu Ancestor could help by sharing and mitigating her power while detoxifying.

But such a method was like Hua Tuo telling Cao Cao his headache required brain surgery the Green Dragon King might flip out and attack upon hearing it.

After all from the Green Dragon King’s subtle expressions it was clear this woman was no mere sister to him.
