Chapter Index

After the cold winter weather warmed quickly. Fresh tender buds emerged on the roadside trees. The nearing of spring was subtle but its budding vitality could be seen everywhere.

At 7am the F4 of Room 302 arrived at the cafeteria together.

Jiang Qin drank a simple century egg & lean pork porridge and ate a steamer of soup dumplings then fished out a meal card from his pocket and tossed it on the table.

“Remember to swipe it for me.”

    “…”

Cao Guangyu glanced at the meal card Jiang Qin left behind then at his departing figure. His scalp instantly tingled.

What’s with Jiang that dog fart? He threw down a meal card with a balance not even over a hundred like it was a blank check to fill out any amount?

Damn that’s cool. I have to copy that move. It’ll definitely come in handy!

Cao Guangyu closed his eyes replaying that scene clearly imprinting it in his mind. He felt like a new skill icon lit up on his skill chart.

“Big Bro Jiang is skipping class again today huh?”

Cao Guangyu came back to his senses and glanced at Zhou Chao: “What do you mean skipping class ‘again’? This guy has never gone to a single class.”

Zhou Chao patted his belly: “Recently eating for free everyday I’m getting a bit fat.”

Ren Ziqiang heard this and raised his head: “Are you also feeling a bit embarrassed?”

“No I hope days like this never end!”

    “…”

An hour later Jiang Qin arrived at the University of Technology. He parked his car on the roadside and entered Xitian.

The shops rented from the University of Tech and Normal University were already in use not just empty shells so they didn’t need too much renovation just some simple repairs.

Like putting up wallpaper hanging paintings modifying the counter switching long tables to square ones and purchasing equipment.

After this series of adjustments Xitian’s two branch stores officially opened for business starting today.

The store at Normal University was completely handed over to Hu Xin to manage while Fang Xiaoxuan was transferred to the University of Tech as a part-time store manager and trainer.

Because promotions hadn’t started yet business at Xitian wasn’t great.

Jiang Qin stood at the entrance biting a straw staring at the passing students his face not showing much expression.

Allegedly the male to female ratio at the University of Tech was 7:3. The number of male students was over double the females. In this situation the process for Xitian to open up the market might take longer than other schools.

Jiang Qin felt that in light of these regional environment differences they might need to adopt some unconventional strategies in the early stages of operations.

Just then someone suddenly shouted “Male God” in the distance. Jiang Qin turned his head to look and saw Yu Shasha leading over a dozen female university students hustling over this way.

“Why did so many people come?”

“Mm after getting the message I came. I called over all my girls from class too.” Yu Shasha’s smile was dazzling.

Jiang Qin couldn’t help coughing: “Actually what I meant was for you to occasionally bring people over to sit and help prop up popularity so the store looks a bit livelier not to immediately bring people over.”

“We can do that. I’ll bring them over everyday from now on.”

Hearing this even though Jiang Qin remained expressionless he felt a bit stifled.

Yu Shasha was indeed someone he called over because Jiang Qin knew this old classmate of his was a social butterfly. Go out for a stroll and she could make countless new friends.

But his original intent was to have Yu Shasha help publicize the new store and occasionally bring friends over to sit.

It was the same logic as some newly opened milk tea shops often paying people to line up – atmospheric marketing.

But he didn’t expect Yu Shasha to have this many friends and for them all to be so enthusiastic. In less than three minutes they arrived. Counting carefully there were sixteen girls total.

Doesn’t this mean treating each of them to a milk tea?

Good lord going broke on opening day is this reasonable?

    “Everyone sit first.”

Jiang Qin had them sit at the small square tables in the rest area by the entrance then went into the store to get Fang Xiaoxuan: “Xiaoxuan make sixteen cups of taro flavor signature milk tea for them to try.”

“Okay Boss.” Fang Xiaoxuan started working nimbly.

The female university students outside had no idea what they were here for. They only heard Yu Shasha’s male god was coming so they eagerly followed over to take a look. After seeing Jiang Qin in person the discussion gradually grew.

“This is Shasha’s high school male god? He’s a bit handsome but this level isn’t rare at our school right?”

“Mm he’s indeed not as handsome as I imagined.”

“What’s with Shasha? In the dorm she described him like he was glowing but now that I see him he’s totally not.”

“Not sure maybe he’s good at studying? I heard he’s a student at Linchuan University.”

“Being good at studying makes you a male god? That’s too hasty.”

The University of Tech had a lot of guys so the girls there generally had very high standards.

Plus they were still pure and dumb university students. Their definition of a male god usually stopped at appearances making them feel even more that Jiang Qin didn’t live up to the name.

Especially Yu Shasha’s roommates Tang Li, Gu Tiantian and Chen Wenfang. They were most familiar with Yu Shasha. They often saw many handsome guys around her so they really couldn’t figure it out.

“Shasha your male god doesn’t seem as godly as you said.”

“Tsk you guys know too little about my male god.”

As soon as Yu Shasha finished speaking Jiang Qin walked out from the store grabbed a stool and sat down next to them planning to chat a bit.

But before he could open his mouth a guy wearing a thin down jacket with a black and white checked scarf around his neck walked over looking debonair.

He came to the milk tea shop entrance swept his gaze around and finally landed on Yu Shasha.

“Shasha I have a basketball game this afternoon. Are you going to watch?”

Yu Shasha glanced back at him: “I already said I’m not going. My male god is here I don’t have time. Sorry Hou Xiangkai let’s talk about it next time.”

The guy named Hou Xiangkai knitted his brows looking at Jiang Qin: “You’re her male god? Based on what? What makes you godly?”

    “?”

Jiang Qin sized him up noticing his name brand outfit. After some thought he directly puffed out his chest: “Sorry just ordinary Jiang Young Master a plain and simple rich second generation.”

Hou Xiangkai froze for a moment his eyes flicking over Jiang Qin’s clothes: “Someone like you counts as a rich second gen? What are you wearing street stall goods?”

“I’m not interested in clothes and stuff but I’m generous. See Yu Shasha’s fifteen girl friends here? I’m going to take out my living expenses later and treat each of them to a cup of milk tea. You think you can afford to play this game?”

Hou Xiangkai instantly sneered: “How much is a cup of milk tea? And living expenses? This can be considered a rich second gen? Laughable.”

Jiang Qin calmly looked at him: “Anyone can talk big. If you have the skills then treat them. If you don’t have money hurry up and leave don’t block our chat.”

    “Damn you…”

“What? You don’t believe it but just moving your mouth isn’t very convincing.” Jiang Qin’s lips were twisted to his ears.

“Fine you wait here.” Hou Xiangkai glared coldly at him directly hugging his basketball as he entered the milk tea shop.

Fang Xiaoxuan was in the middle of making milk tea when she saw someone storm in demanding sixteen cups of milk tea. Her mind instantly blanked.

But Jiang Qin quickly followed shooting her a look. Although Fang Xiaoxuan was confused she still took the money.

After getting his change Hou Xiangkai looked at Jiang Qin: “How about that?”

“Damn a true rich second generation is indeed amazing. I concede.” Jiang Qin looked convinced.

“So you have less money than me and you’re not as good-looking. What makes you a male god?”

“Mm I admit what you say makes sense. The title of male god from today on belongs to you.”

Hou Xiangkai let out a cold laugh as he exited the milk tea shop grandly waving his hand announcing he was treating all the girls to milk tea instantly eliciting cheers.

Jiang Qin also followed him out sitting on the stool unperturbed watching this scene as light as a cloud.

That was damn close. If it wasn’t for Qin Zi’ang from the University of Tech showing up today he definitely would have lost sixteen milk teas no matter what.

“I have to say Hou Xiangkai is more like a male god.”

Gu Tiantian suddenly spoke clearly hinting at something.

“Yeah his family is rich his fashion sense is good and he’s amazing at basketball. No mistake he’s a male god.”

Tang Li also nodded her eyes sweeping over Jiang Qin.

But Jiang Qin was completely unaffected propping his chin with one hand not saying a word as if his mind had already wandered off.

Following that Hou Xiangkai who had accepted a round of praise also sat down very close to Yu Shasha. His words were full of jabs at Jiang Qin.

Yu Shasha’s dorm sisters also intentionally tried to set the two of them up. After all who wouldn’t like a boyfriend who treats all your roommates to milk tea? With someone like that around they would definitely benefit more than today.

Five minutes later Fang Xiaoxuan came out with the milk teas walking up to Jiang Qin.

“Boss the milk teas are ready.”

As her voice fell the people who were just laughing and joking instantly quieted down all looking at Jiang Qin.

Hou Xiangkai’s gaze also left Yu Shasha looking at Jiang Qin in a daze noticing he suddenly stood up.

“Xiaoxuan give them out to all the pretty sisters here.”

“Okay Boss.” Fang Xiaoxuan started handing out the milk teas one by one.

Jiang Qin coughed before speaking: “Everyone this is a unique taro milk tea from our Xitian. Strictly speaking it should be considered our signature product. The secret recipe was passed to me by a senior. Please give it a try. If you find it tasty please support our business in the future.”

The girls opened their mouths wide: “You opened this milk tea shop?”

“You could say that. This is already our fourth branch.”

    “…”

“Holy crap didn’t they say he’s a freshman? He already opened four milk tea shops?”

Amidst the discussion a ponytailed girl took a sip of milk tea. Her eyes instantly lit up: “Wow it’s really good. Richer and smoother than ones I’ve had before. No wonder it’s the signature drink!”

Jiang Qin smiled faintly: “As long as it tastes good that’s all that matters. Thank you everyone for liking it. I’m honored.”

    Tang Li: “…”

    Gu Tiantian: “…”

    Chen Wenfang: “…”

Hou Xiangkai was stunned for a moment: “Wait a minute wasn’t I the one who paid for the milk tea?”
