Chapter Index

The new semester has begun, and there’s a lot to handle at Linchuan University.

After finishing marketing with Zhihu and group-buying, Jiang Qin, as a student representative, gave a speech at the Financial College’s freshman ceremony. His radiance left Old Cao unable to eat for three days, and Zhuang Chen was rendered silent for a week.

Following that, eating became the main theme of Jiang Qin’s life.

The Financial College’s Student Council invited him for a meal as thanks for his sponsorship over the year, and the School’s Student Council did likewise.

Ma Jiangming and Tan Shipeng have stepped down from their chairman roles, replaced by their successors who were being groomed since last year.

But everyone knows whether it’s the College’s or the School’s Student Council, the chairmanship may change, but Jiang Qin remains influential.

Because of this connection, Jiang Tian, who was initially the vice head of the External Relations Department in his sophomore year, was promoted directly to head this year—unreasonable yet somehow completely logical.

After two meals at school, the Linchuan Business Group started hosting gatherings again, stating they knew Jiang Qin was on summer break, so they specifically arranged the mid-year gathering for the back-to-school season.

The brand owners followed tradition, eat and drink, then began to boast.

In previous years, their boasting was somewhat hollow, but this year, after a national promotion of the Linchuan brand, they had too much to boast about without repeating themselves even till late at night.

However, the sentence structure of their boast had slightly changed and upgraded, specifically now always mentioning Jiang Qin.

“Our last quarter’s turnover already surpassed last year’s annual total. We have virtually no competitors in the industry, all thanks to President Jiang.”

“We’ve established eighty-two stores across thirteen cities, we even snagged an ordinary Jintao Award last year, all thanks to President Jiang.”

“Our products now lead the market share, all thanks to President Jiang.”

“We can’t compare ourselves to all the tycoons here; we just became a brand praised by CCTV, of course, we owe it all to President Jiang.”

Listening on the side, Jiang Qin suddenly furrowed his brows, thinking to himself how Linchuan Business Group smelled increasingly like sycophants.

After the meal, Linchuan city leaders set up another banquet for those attracting investment, with Jiang Qin attending as the responsible head of the business group.

Linchuan Business Group is a flagship for attracting investment in Linchuan, and Jiang Qin is its key figure. This is something that can’t be delegated.

Over just three days, Jiang Qin indeed went to countless meals.

Initially, he enjoyed these free meals, but one can only handle so much meat and fish.

Every day, he returned to the dorm exhausted, complaining about being stuffed to the brim, even his eyes were red.

One evening, lifting his shirt in horror, Jiang Qin discovered his abs were nearly gone. “Damn, Feng Nanshu loves touching these. How can I impress her without them?” Panicked, he intensified his workout.

    Panting…

After finishing his sweaty workout, Jiang Qin looked at Zhou Chao lying on the bed reading a novel, contemplating whether to recruit him into the Business Department to handle his dining obligations.

My face, his gain—a win-win situation.

“Uncle, this is Manqi. Here’s my school ID. Please bring Sister Nanshu out for a meal with me.”

    “…”

Jiang Qin sighed, looking at He Manqi’s message, almost forgetting the word ‘eat’.

Zhou Chao watched Jiang Qin get ready to go out, propping himself up from the bed, “Bro Jiang, where are you off to again?”

“Someone’s asked me to eat again.”

After hearing that, Zhou Chao felt uneasy: “Bro Jiang really lives the life I’ve always dreamed of.”

Jiang Qin patted his stomach, expressing sorrowfully, “Wait till you eat like me every day. You’ll understand this pain.”

At that moment, Cao Guangyu stormed back into the dorm, hearing the statement and shouting in anger, “It’s one thing to brag, but why involve Zhou Chao too?”

“Get lost, how did you hurt your neck?”

Cao Guangyu tugged at his collar, “Ding Xue bit it.”

Jiang Qin also unconsciously pulled at his collar, annoyed, “Damn it, what’s Cao’s status, just a rich second generation, yet he has the same mark on his neck as I do. Disgusting!”

The love bite on his neck, given by Feng Nanshu in the maple forest just two days ago, hadn’t yet faded, and he was too lazy to cover it.

Sometimes he fastened his collar, sometimes he didn’t, causing many Linchuan entrepreneurs to remark on how wild his college life must be.

Jiang Qin changed clothes, washed his face, then opened the door and drove to the women’s dorm to pick up Feng Nanshu.

Soon the little rich girl came down the stairs briskly to Jiang Qin, and without a word, peeked into his neck to reexamine her handiwork, her cool demeanor and bright eyes sparkling under the sunlight.

“Stop looking, it’s still there. One day you’ll bite me to death, and you’ll be happy then.”

“I won’t be happy if you die,” Feng Nanshu said, somewhat scared, her face warning him not to die.

Jiang Qin laughed at her threat, “Then stop biting. What kind of friend bites others all the time? It’s impolite…”

    “I’ll dare it again.”

Feng Nanshu boldly took the passenger seat, then went with him to Nanshan Restaurant for a meal with He Manqi.

If it really came down to it, He Manqi’s resolve to study hard was indeed because of Feng Nanshu, so saying the little rich girl changed her fate wasn’t an exaggeration, Jiang Qin surely played a part too.

Especially his theory that university is for fun had completely deceived He Manqi into not only studying seriously for a year but also resolutely taking a repeat year, aiming solely for Linchuan.

Now that He Manqi had finally made it, if she later realizes college isn’t as Jiang Qin described, well, that’s not his problem anymore.

Everyone’s college life is different, each with its own highlights. Look at us, not attending classes yet still called a star student, now try making sense of that.

Yet He Manqi doesn’t feel deceived at all; looking at the love bite inside Jiang Qin’s collar, then at her idol Feng Nanshu, she couldn’t help but marvel inwardly.

Sister Nanshu seemed demure and aloof on the surface, but who knew she was this wild in private. Seeing her mark on my uncle was truly thrilling.

What she didn’t know was that Feng Nanshu was just a childish spirit who mostly loved to see his reactions when bitten.

Before the banquet, the trio’s meal was filled with chatter and laughter, joyous and harmonious. But some had meals that were restless and hard to swallow.

Such as Ye Ziqing and Cui Yiting.

They had been continuously strategizing against Nuomi and LaShou websites but still found themselves at a loss.

What truly terrified them was Nuomi’s recent actions; in just five days, they devoured five districts.

These districts weren’t much in the overall Shanghai market of Suixin Group, but five days—a start like this, what about ten days? A month? Half a year?

Ye Ziqing couldn’t even eat, her entire being thinned, lips paling further.

However, they were somewhat reassured that while Nuomi was aggressive and employed all tactics, LaShou hadn’t moved at all, not even causing a ripple, as if reluctant to act.

    What was going on?

This damned website, always poaching other teams, faced with such a big opportunity, yet remained inactive, only busy running around daily, utterly baffling.

What Ye Ziqing didn’t know was that Kang Jingtao, manager of LaShou’s Shanghai station, was furiously scolding someone, with quite unsightly language.

Not for any other reason, but because after three days of investigation, he uncovered a shocking truth.

“Damn it, it’s this group-buying site, right? What kind of shitty, insignificant site runs around impersonating others with their employee badges? Is there no law left?”

“Seriously, if hadn’t been for Xiao Li and the others eating nearby and overhearing them planning today’s cosplay, I’d still be in the dark, thinking the whole country’s underdogs were here.”

“What kind of back-alley trick is this? How sinister?”

Dazed, Kang Jingtao was seething, gripping a flyer from group-buying distributed in the university town, bashing it angrily.

Initially, he thought himself unscrupulous, a figure who’d do anything wrong. After all, he had secretly poached an entire team from a competitor, causing them to lose an entire market, indeed dirty.

But seeing group-buying’s tactics, he realized he was actually clean, practically an innocent, foolish angel.

“Boss Kang, what do we do now?”

“Gather all teams for a meeting. I give you three days to remove this thorn in our side. Don’t let it obstruct us any longer!”

“Right away, Boss Kang. We’ll get on it.”

Kang Jingtao waved them off then sat back in his office chair, spread out a map of the area, and circled the four neighboring university towns, pondering the next moves.

After removing the thorn called group-buying, he plans to directly converge towards the center, no longer lingering in the outskirts.

Since LaShou has entered into a temporary partnership with Nuomi, but once the market share of Suixin Group has been substantially encroached, they will revert to competitors. Thus, whoever secures the central position will stand undefeated.

Kang Jingtao connected three areas with a line, drew an arrow pointing straight to the center, and wrote twelve big characters.

The tip of the chill arrives first, followed by the spear like a dragon!
