Chapter 49: I Can Be Alone

After dinner the group of seven returned to Linchuan University under the moonlight.

The little rich girl walked slowly the whole way although she didn’t say anything it was clear she didn’t want to return to the dorm too early her little scheme was plain as day so Jiang Qin decided to take her for a stroll around campus deliberately hinting for the other five to go back first.

Fan Shuling was obviously a bit worried not too keen on leaving Feng Nanshu alone with Jiang Qin.

Jiang Qin felt this place was fairly quiet so he pulled Feng Nanshu to sit down.

Croaking frogs murmuring water moonlight evening breeze.

Feng Nanshu suddenly took off her little leather shoes and lace-trimmed white socks revealing a pair of delicate feet the cute round toes pink and tender then lightly placed them in Jiang Qin’s lap.

“?”

“You promised during military training to play with my feet.” Feng Nanshu quietly looked at him.

Jiang Qin felt a bit embarrassed and angry “What are you doing I’m a gentleman you know are you testing a gentleman I’m telling you I won’t even touch them.”

Feng Nanshu suddenly furrowed her brow slightly “Tss…lighter it hurts.”

“Damn why do my hands have a mind of their own?”

At that time the little rich girl seemed to say she wouldn’t be lonely that she had always been alone then not two days later she was whimpering with low spirits unable to even focus on her beloved books.

Jiang Qin turned to look at Feng Nanshu discovering the little rich girl had her mouth pursed pretending to be nonchalant while gazing into the distance.

“Feng Nanshu?”

“I can be by myself.” Feng Nanshu still looked elsewhere.

Jiang Qin couldn’t help leaning in closer to look at her “So brave huh?”

“Mn.”

“Then turn your face this way let me see.”

“No.”

“Alright don’t cry anymore when I’m busy in the future I’ll bring you along but no messing around.”

“Not crying.”

Feng Nanshu spoke softly then quietly gazed at the lake feeling her little feet warmed snugly only wanting to sit here forever.
