Chapter Index

It’s common sense that someone who can advertise on the old forum can definitely accept a new forum with higher traffic.

But the old forum was officially run after all. As a rising star, directly poaching customers at the start of the venture isn’t a wise choice. But the advertisers have their own ideas. There’s no reason to refuse money that comes to the door.

Two thousand yuan isn’t much, but it’s at least the first return since starting the website.

Jiang Qin thought for a bit and decided to get a water dispenser and an electric fan. The rest would be used as activity funds.

    Forget the air conditioner.

Summer is almost over. Buying an AC is purely a waste.

Plus installing an AC requires drilling holes. Just going through the school procedures would take a long time.

Jiang Qin took out two bills and handed them to Wei Lanlan and Tan Qing.

These two were borrowed from the part-time club. They weren’t team employees, so they didn’t get a salary, only commission.

This was something Jiang Qin intentionally set.

Because people doing business and marketing all need motivation. Giving a fixed salary definitely won’t work. Commission is a better way to stimulate work drive. After all, a career with prospects will make people work harder.

In the blink of an eye, it was afternoon.

The people from the two teams had already gathered in Room 208. Half were writing, half were making the voting system. The sound of clattering keyboards was incessant.

In the meantime, Cao Xinyue came to take a look. Seeing the room full of people typing, her eyes couldn’t help showing a hint of surprise. She thought, the keys were only given at noon, right? Not only was it cleaned up, it was already in use. This efficiency is too high.

“Junior, you’re really doing this? In just one afternoon, you’ve already started business?”

“If you’re not keen on making money, there’s something wrong with your head. Senior, forget about dating. Come work part-time for me?”

Cao Xinyue pouted, “I don’t believe you can make money.”

“The probability of me making money is much higher than going from school uniforms to wedding dresses.” Jiang Qin pulled a chair over for her. “Sit for a bit? Experience our team’s vitality.”

“Forget it, I won’t sit. I’m just here to say hi and see if there’s anything you need.”

Jiang Qin’s eyes instantly lit up, “Do you have blackboards? Printers? A couple computers would be good too. Install an AC while you’re at it.”

“Junior, you really know how to make demands. Why don’t you just eat me alive? I can help you apply for a blackboard and printer. Forget about computers and AC.”

After saying that, Cao Xinyue left. But she still didn’t have much confidence in Jiang Qin’s project.

These days, internet stuff was still quite intangible to Cao Xinyue. In comparison, she felt that businesses like milk tea shops and supermarkets were more profitable.

At dusk, people in 208 left one after another to eat. Jiang Qin also left first, leaving the key to Su Nai.

“No watching nonsense in the sacred office space.”

    “I didn’t!”

Su Nai was so angry he slammed the keyboard like a machine gun.

Facing the setting sun, Jiang Qin walked on Academy Road 2, enjoying the cool evening breeze. His phone in his pocket beeped a few times. An avatar of a calico cat was bouncing.

“Jiang Qin, come hang out with me.”

    Jiang Qin: “?”

Feng Nanshu: “That last message was sent by Gao Wenhui.”

    “????”

Feng Nanshu: “There’s a cat downstairs that can do backflips.”

Jiang Qin: “That’s amazing? I have to see it. After that, I’ll take you to the cafeteria to eat.”

    “Okay.”

After reading Feng Nanshu’s QQ messages, Jiang Qin stood up and walked towards the girls’ dorm.

The little rich girl was already waiting downstairs early. She had changed into a white dress with a black bow tied at the collar. She looked youthful and lively, her eyes especially bright.

“Where’s the cat that can do backflips?”

    “It ran.”

Feng Nanshu solemnly pointed behind her, her eyes full of innocence.

Jiang Qin pursed his lips, thinking you just wanted to go out and play, say it directly. Why blame the cat? Who did the cat provoke?

    Hm? Cat…

Maybe keeping a cat in 208 can enhance team cohesion. It can also alleviate the dullness of work.

Jiang Qin rubbed his temple, thinking this work mode seemed pretty good.

On the way from the girls’ dorm to the cafeteria, Feng Nanshu walked in front with her hands behind her back, toes lightly tapping the ground, moving forward briskly and vivaciously. The brilliant colors of dusk were reflected in her bright eyes.

But when they reached the cafeteria entrance, her steps suddenly slowed. She turned her head and quietly looked at Jiang Qin until he caught up before continuing forward.

The cafeteria was crowded in the evening. Almost entire dorm groups came together. The two walked in one after the other and immediately saw Gao Wenhui sitting in the C position, wolfing down food.

“Gao Wenhui, your instant transmission is not bad. You were just texting in the dorm and now you’re already eating?”

    “?”

Feng Nanshu nodded seriously, “Wenhui is sometimes as fast as flying.”

Gao Wenhui couldn’t understand what they were saying at all. She pushed her tray, “Come, guess what I ordered?”

“Braised quail eggs and potatoes,” Feng Nanshu said in a gentle voice.

“I ordered braised pork, but the lady’s hand shook and there was only this left. If your hand is shaking that much, shouldn’t you go to the hospital for a check-up? What are you doing working?!” Gao Wenhui was full of resentment.

Jiang Qin laughed, “Eating less meat is fine. Look at your waist, it’s thicker than mine.”

“Hmph, I knew you wouldn’t say anything nice. I’m done eating. I won’t be a third wheel for you two anymore!” Gao Wenhui picked up her tray and swiftly vacated her seat.

Feng Nanshu looked bewildered, “What’s a third wheel?”

“It’s a type of luminous lighting tool that flickers,” Jiang Qin gave a standard answer.

The little rich girl felt Jiang Qin was lying, but had no proof.

After a while, the two finished getting their food and came back. One had a preserved vegetable pork set meal, the other had an oily beef brisket noodle soup.

Feng Nanshu ate her preserved vegetable pork while occasionally glancing at the fatty beef brisket in Jiang Qin’s bowl. She couldn’t help drooling a bit, her little eyes adorably pleading.

Jiang Qin picked up a piece of beef brisket with his chopsticks and passed it over. He originally wanted to put it in her spoon, but her red moist little mouth had already obediently opened, simply waiting eagerly.

So, Jiang Qin fed it into her mouth. He saw her eyes suddenly sparkle, shining like stars.

    “Is it tasty?”

    Feng Nanshu nodded.

Jiang Qin took a bite of noodles, “Eat quickly. After you finish, I’ll take you to Wangyue Lake to see the carp.”

Feng Nanshu was a bit flustered. Under the table, her feet couldn’t help shrinking back, “No, Jiang Qin, I didn’t wash today.”

“Feng Nanshu, I’m warning you, please treat me as a proper person!”

“Jiang Qin, what’s a proper person?”

“A proper person means if he says he’s going to see carp, he’s going to see carp. He won’t do anything else!”

Everyone, please don’t make me suffer! I’m about to cry!

    Chapter Summary

Jiang Qin's website received its first advertising revenue of 2,000 yuan. He decided to purchase office equipment and use the rest as activity funds. The teams worked efficiently in their new office. Cao Xinyue visited but was skeptical about the project's success.
