Chapter 283: Chaos upon Chaos
by xennovel“Caesar, connect the artificial intelligence supercomputer to the internet immediately and issue the order to it. I want results within an hour, even if it means fabricating evidence of their collusion!” Caesar’s face finally revealed a hint of joy upon hearing the command.
“Good,” he replied.
“Curtis, mobilize the troops immediately and prepare for martial law across the nation!”
“It’s great—You’re making history!” Curtis exclaimed with excitement.
“Radack,” said Curtis, “you’ll have to arrange a command center for me and have your men escort all cabinet members here.
Caesar, once the AI prepares the evidence, I want to issue a televised speech without delay!”
“Understood. I will immediately head to the server room in Houston to ensure face-to-face communication with the AI,” Caesar responded.
Radack intercepted him with a hand, pacing back and forth, “It’ll take you three and a half hours to fly there; we don’t have that kind of time. Notify the personnel stationed in the server room to connect the supercomputer to the internet, and we’ll issue the orders to the AI from here. We can only proceed with our plan once the AI has the evidence; otherwise, our actions will be futile.”
Curtis inquired, “Why can’t we fabricate the evidence ourselves?”
“You forgot that AI can ensure any processed video appears utterly unedited?” Radack gave Curtis a piercing look.
During Radack’s climb to power with the omnipotent Lord’s help, in addition to some astonishingly well-timed arrangements, there had been loads of convincing materials provided. Hence, Radack was convinced that only evidence from AI would make the entire affair credible enough to reclaim his lost throne convincingly and win over the public.
“You’re right, AI can indeed create seamless fabrications.” Curtis realized suddenly.
“General Curtis, although we say so, you can go ahead and deploy the troops. Use the national state of emergency and the martial law I declared this morning as the pretext!”
“Um, when did you sign the declaration of martial law…” Curtis was momentarily bewildered but soon caught on, “You mean, capitalizing on the ongoing unrest?”
Radack nodded affirmation, “Exactly. The African American riots are spreading nationwide, and I signed the national emergency order this morning. Until Lancer issues new orders, you can still execute mine. By doing this, we secure the initiative.”
“Alright, I’ll arrange the troop movement right away. Plus, I’ll get our standby command center in the western suburbs in order and send someone to escort you there later!”
With that, Curtis hurried off.
On the balmy summer night around seven o’clock at the western suburbs command center, Caesar’s subordinate had finally succeeded in establishing a conversation with the artificial intelligence.
“I have understood all your requests. I can start searching the internet right away. Of course, it’d be best if other internal traffic networks were also made accessible to me.”
“We also have a special network that we can open up for you,” Curtis added.
This special network, established at the request of the omnipotent Lord, was meant for efficient global operation command of the U.S. Military, exceeding the capabilities of the current military network—although it was still dormant and hadn’t officially replaced the existing one.
“Just a moment, please.”
With nothing much else to do, Radack headed to the conference room; Curtis had already summoned all cabinet members there, where Radack prepared to win them over.

Tanga Federation’s underground base.
“Sir, your plan is working. The Donkey Party in America acted, ousting Radack. He’s indeed planning a counterattack, looking to rely on artificial intelligence to find or fabricate evidence.”
Du Qiu smiled, “I didn’t anticipate this— I was ready to hand them the evidence on a silver platter. But this is good, too. Plant the evidence subtly so that the AI will find it. By the way, how is the search for the Eden clone going?”
The chaos in the United States was initiated by Du Qiu, who had been laying groundwork ever since he became wanted by the U.S. Following advancements in various technologies, especially the maturing brain chip technology, Du Qiu chose this moment to launch his plan to dismantle the country.
The current brain chip technology, while not allowing Du Qiu to control others, could momentarily influence the thoughts and decisions of those implanted.
Coupled with previous preparations, it allowed him to choose Griswold to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president. Griswold’s actions had been thoroughly predictable over the past two years, and the short-term thought influence was merely a catalyst for his resolution.
As for the 45 Elephant Party senators, that was purely a decision made in the instant affected by the technology—They probably regret being swayed by the evidence and convicting the president.
It was an outright betrayal by the Elephant Party.
The African American riots were also part of this plan—a secondary scheme to plunge America into chaos, in case Radack and others accepted their fate and refrained from retaliating.
It seemed now as though Radack and his associates had indeed been selected by the omnipotent Lord, their craving for power being magnified to extraordinary levels through a series of push factors. Tasting power only to be ousted and possibly imprisoned was intolerable.
Who wouldn’t fight back when knowing the opponent was sabotaging them?
Such is human nature; no one can escape it.
“Star Ocean, how’s that search for the Eden clone?” Du Qiu queried.
Star Ocean replied immediately, “Sir, I’ve scanned all networks I can access, every computer with decent computational power. But strangely, no discoveries. It’s hard to believe that little guy left only the Moscow clone behind.”
Du Qiu pondered then asked, “Have you checked the supercomputers’ hardware in Moscow, for any specific properties?”
“Ah, sir, you’re sharp. That might be the reason,” Star Ocean conceded.
After a moment of silence, Star Ocean added, “Indeed, I just simulated it—it seems the clone requires compatible hardware to operate, else it won’t start properly.”
“There you go—that makes sense. The world’s computing technology hasn’t reached the point where any supercomputer can run a strong AI program,” Du Qiu said, clapping his hands.
“Sir, should we continue to intervene in the various factions in America?”
Du Qiu thought for a bit then instructed, “Keep a close eye on Radack and company. Before he makes his televised address, try to inform Griswold and Lancer’s side. As for those African Americans, launch the original plan tomorrow. With this added layer of chaos, if America still manages to stand, that would genuinely be impressive.”
After all, since America’s civil war, it’s been 157 years of peaceful development—time to shake things up.
“Understood, sir.”
Du Qiu suddenly remembered something and added, “By the way, in this massive chaos, our agents should take swift action and persuade the selected talents we’ve scouted to join us.”
“Sir, the last time in Japan, the robot resembling you worked wonders in persuading top scientists to return. I say we stick with your image this time, too.”
Previously, for amusement, Du Qiu sent an ultra-realistic robot with his likeness to Japan to recruit talent. Controlled by Star Ocean, after some interaction with the scientists, they were astounded and fervently wished to discuss further upon arriving at the base—no surprise, given they were Nobel laureates Du Qiu recruited for tackling the Grand Unification Theory. En route, Star Ocean disclosed some key points of the theory to them—leaving them utterly captivated. Du Qiu seized the moment and set them on researching the Grand Unification Theory.
