Chapter 456: Plunder and Inheritance
by xennovelAfter instructing Song Shiyuan, Song Wujian turned his gaze to Song Chi.
“Chi, you don’t need to join the fight in a bit. Just guard the entrance with your enslaved beasts. Also, link up with my secondary flagship right now and be ready to use the Time Domain as soon as you’re in!”
Song Wujian was talking about the Neutron Link and Samsara Time Domain. Back when they attacked the Sky‑Star Floating Continent, Song Chi had shown off this combo already—it worked out great.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!
With a gentle ripple of energy, the Calm‑Sea Dragon‑Xiang vanished first right before Song Chi and Song Shiyuan’s eyes, followed by the Unmoving Vajra, then finally the Heavenly Ruin.
Space twisted in front of Song Chi, but he remembered Song Wujian’s warnings. The moment he entered this new realm, he activated the ‘Samsara Time Domain’ right away.
Ahead, Song Shiyuan was simultaneously activating the Spatial Condensing Tower.
Once both special effects took hold, Song Chi finally got a clear look at this new space.
This wasn’t some mountain pocket hidden by a spatial curtain—this was a secret realm. A primordial one.
If he had to guess, it was one of the Doomstar Race’s core strongholds and one of the secret realms the kingdom’s three Star-Annihilator Fleet Commanders were searching for.
But that wasn’t the real point. The crucial thing was what was happening inside right now.
Right in the center of this primordial secret realm was a vast plain, and at least ten thousand Doomstar clansmen had gathered there.
They swarmed around a golden-glowing portal, pouring through it in a steady stream.
But when the Unmoving Vajra’s Spatial Condensing Tower fired up, the whole secret realm’s void became sealed— even the golden portal was frozen and affected.
With just a look, Song Chi pieced together much of what was happening.
Clearly, the golden portal was a contingency left by the Doomstar Race. If they lost, the elite survivors could all escape through it.
Song Family’s three members had no idea how many had already gotten away, but one thing was certain: the thousands still here weren’t getting out.
And since these were the last seeds of the Doomstar Race, they were bound to be carrying generations of accumulated wealth—maybe not everything, but certainly the cream of the crop.
No way Song Wujian and Song Shiyuan would let that slip through their fingers.
Sticking to plan, Song Chi guarded the exit with the Heavenly Ruin and a few Sixth-Tier enslaved beasts, while the Calm‑Sea Dragon‑Xiang and Unmoving Vajra surged forward straight at the Doomstar mobs slowed by the time domain.
Along the way, each dreadnought released a Sixth-Tier enslaved beast—one a Dragon Demon, the other a Holy Light Dragon.
As time dragged on, the battle tipped steadily in favor of the dreadnoughts.
These ten thousand Doomstar clansmen actually included a full five Sixth-Tier elites. Problem was, without the rules of the Calamity Star Floating-Land behind them, the regular sixth-rankers were no match for the dreadnoughts.
About half an hour later, every last one of the over ten thousand Doomstar clansmen had been wiped out.
And just as they’d hoped, all of these Doomstar elites carried resources of all kinds. Once the field was cleaned up, they had already spotted over two hundred rare Oddities.
The lowest were orange-tier parts, with over a hundred red Oddities, more than ten silver-legends, and even two gold-tier treasures.
Sadly, some Doomstar clansmen must have gotten away—a few of the most precious black Oddities were nowhere to be found, likely already taken in the first wave.
What really caught Song Chi’s eye, though, was a silver fireseed Oddity among the dozen or so silver treasures. This one could be refined into a Torch Seed, upgrading their fire source.
But this wasn’t the time for splitting up the loot. Who knew when those three Star-Annihilator Fleet Commanders might find this place—they had to get out fast.
As for the secret realm underfoot itself—
Of course they wanted it. A primordial secret realm like this was as valuable as a golden-tier strategic part.
But moving an entire secret realm would take ages. Moving a primordial one right under the noses of the three fleet commanders? That’d be even harder than ascending to the heavens.
And another thing: just running away now meant if the commanders tracked them down later and used a time-reversal-type component, their identities would probably be exposed.
“Chi, use the Dominion Projection. Stir up everything here with the Dominion Power. That way, there’ll be no way to follow our tracks.”
“Got it!”
Song Chi nodded.
This secret realm was already completely off the radar—there was no need to worry about accidentally tipping off any other factions. Thanks to that, the Omniverse Market was completely safe and nobody would be able to trace anything back to the Song Family.
As his true form vanished into the Heavenly Ruin, the Voidform Avatar he left behind immediately activated the Market Projection Token. In the next second, the marketplace’s purple mist projection stretched across the realm’s sky.
Purple mist energy swept the entire secret realm, churning the local forces and utterly erasing any trace they had ever been there.
After that, the Omniverse Market projection left marks on the Calm‑Sea Dragon‑Xiang, Unmoving Vajra, and Heavenly Ruin. These would let them leave undetected.
All done, the three warships quietly retraced their original path out of the secret realm.
Before leaving, Song Chi used the Market projection to shatter the entrance to this realm.
Why go to all that trouble?
Well, if there were any other entrances, destroying this one would keep the three fleet commanders from tracking them into the Primeval Forest outside.
And if this was the only entrance, the secret realm would be nearly impossible to discover. Maybe, one day, the family could come back and claim it for themselves.
Once they left the secret realm, the three ships slipped back into formation with the family fleet.
For days afterward they didn’t hurry to sort their loot—still worried a Star-Annihilator flagship might be watching.
Just to be safe, Song Wujian and Song Shiyuan even had Song Chi deliver the goods to the Dragon‑Spine Continent right away, to guarantee nothing could go wrong.
When the looting period finally ended and the fleet started withdrawing from Calamity Star Floating-Land, things went smoothly.
There was one minor event—someone from the Yaohan Liu Family came in person to let them know that, thanks to their standout performance, Song Family had ended up tenth on the hunt rankings. When the public areas of the Floating-land were drawn up, they’d get tenth pick for a major plot of land.
No one in the Song Family was surprised by the result.
After all, Song Chi alone had taken out so many fourth- and Fifth-Tier Doomstar clansmen, and the family’s three battleship captains and two dreadnought commanders had cleaned up plenty of sixth-rankers too. Tenth place was only natural.
Strictly speaking, they should’ve been ranked ninth, but because of Rosetta Morningstar, the Morningstar Family was automatically given the top spot.
A sort of goodwill gesture from the kingdom’s three fleet commanders: sure, you don’t get a piece of the Floating-land, but the biggest slice of public territory is yours.
With the campaign wrapped up, the Song Family fleet started another round of teleportation, heading back to their headquarters on Doomsea Floating-Land, base of the Eastern Fleet.
Even though Calamity Star Floating-Land had been taken, the Doomstar Race still held another 400,000 light-years of territory in the Tianpan Galaxy—the advance wasn’t over yet.
But with the two Doomstar Dominators already eliminated, the resistance would only keep getting weaker. Pushing through those last 400,000 light-years was really just a matter of time, with little real threat left.
And in fact, that’s exactly how it went.
Eight years later, the three kingdom fleets had advanced another 200,000-plus light-years, with only just over 100,000 left before they controlled the entire Tianpan Galaxy.
Kingdom Eastern Fleet Group, Morningstar Duchy Joint Fleet.
After Rosetta Morningstar’s identity was revealed, the Stark Family ended their alliance with the duchy, leaving just the five titans of the Morningstar Duchy.
On the newly captured sixth-level Floating-land known as Calamity Moon, Song Family’s ship among the duchy’s fleet.
A private comm group run by the Calm‑Sea Dragon‑Xiang and Unmoving Vajra dreadnoughts.
In this group chat were only Song Wujian, Song Shiyuan, and Song Chi.
“Song Wujian: All right. It’s been eight years; no one’s watching anymore. Chi, list those inventories you already organized!”
“Sure!”
Song Chi answered and quickly posted several lists in the group chat:
[Total Starsea Oddities collected: 502. Of those, 4 Golden Sanctum Domain Components, 31 Silver Legendary Oddities, 180 Red Epic Oddities…]
[Floating-Land Origins: various amounts—five Eighth-Tier origins, 500 Seventh-Tier, 120,000 Sixth-Tier, and so on…]
[Special materials: 25 Dominion Souls, 400 standard units of Eternal Stone Brick, 1 block of Hunyuan Copper (10 kg), 2 strands of Primal Chaos Qi…]
…
[One more secret inheritance stele: the Doomstar Secret Arts Inheritance Stele, with ten recorded techniques. It’s a pure Light Secret Arts stele!]
As Song Wujian and Song Shiyuan scanned Song Chi’s lists, even they—masters of composure—couldn’t help but feel fired up.
Especially the Golden Sanctum Oddities, upper-tier Floating-Land Origins, Dominion Souls, and the Doomstar Secret Arts Inheritance Stele. These were foundations for any top noble line, enough to shore up the Song Family’s legacy for ages.
Once he’d calmed, Song Wujian looked over and asked:
“Of those four Golden Sanctum Oddities, how many can be made into ship components?”
As a member of the Torch Human Civilization, this was a critical question.
Song Chi was obviously pleased, still grinning as he replied.
Seeing this, Song Wujian and Song Shiyuan finally relaxed, though they were still excited.
Song Chi didn’t keep them guessing, answering in the group chat:
“Only one of the four Golden Sanctum Oddities can’t be used as a ship part. The other three can.”
“The components are: [High-Energy Particle Energy Shield], [Death Calamity Star Cannon], and [High-Dimensional Portal]!”
“Details are as follows: JPG*3”

Reading through the attributes, Song Wujian and Song Shiyuan’s delight only grew.
All three parts had excellent specs. The gold energy shield alone was a huge boost to ship safety.
As for the Death Calamity Star Cannon, it was a Star‑Annihilator Cannon. They didn’t have a torch-class ship that could use it yet, but don’t forget—the Song Family had previously acquired a Tri-Eyed Royal Dominator flagship. After over a century of work, their engineering team had restored it.
The only thing missing had been firepower. With the Star‑Annihilator Cannon, their last weakness was finally patched. For the Song Family, this was maybe their most valuable new treasure.
The High-Dimensional Portal part had been the escape tool the Doomstar clansmen relied on. It enabled either random or targeted teleports up to a million light-years.
At that moment, Song Wujian said:
“Chi, you found the Doomstar secret realm and handled the aftermath with the Dominion Projection. By rights, you made the biggest contribution—pick two pieces first!”
Song Chi accepted without hesitation. His efforts spoke for themselves, and picking first was only fair.
Surprisingly, Song Chi didn’t even look at the gold components. Instead, his sights locked onto that silver fireseed Oddity.
“I’ll take the silver fireseed and ten Dominion Souls.”
His reasoning was simple.
None of the three gold-tier treasures suited him. He already had an energy shield, didn’t need the Star‑Annihilator Cannon, and the High-Dimensional Portal was less useful than the Market’s Spatial Anchor. Plus, it was more important to the family as a whole in future campaigns.
After all, with the end of this war, the family’s territory would expand massively. Sooner or later, they’d definitely need that golden component.
