Chapter Index

The first to strike was the Crescent Moon Matriarch, firing her golden longbow.

An arrow etched with bronze runes, shrouded in pure, condensed dark law, shot out with a deafening whistle.

    Crack—crack—crack!

Thick, blood-colored energy was ripped apart. The already tattered space of the Divine Realm shuddered and broke, its firmament tilting as a bloody rain fell. A choking, metallic wind howled wildly. With this single arrow, the entire realm trembled, echoing with the god’s anguished wails.

Before Song Chi’s Mythical Mech projection could finish charging the Ninefold Violet Heaven World-Ending Calamity Thunder, the bronze rune arrow had already ripped through the sky, landing straight on the forehead of the blood-red, four-eyed giant slumbering atop the realm’s dome.

Dense strands of dark law, web-like and furious, surged forth as a terrifying explosion sent shockwaves ripping across the heavens.

Caught in the center of this dominion-level energy storm, it was nearly impossible to see what was happening—except for Song Chi.

Within the purple mist projection, inside the spectral mech giant of the Divine Realm, Song Chi unleashed his Dual Pupils to their fullest. Though his Dual Pupils were only at the fifth tier, thanks to the Dominion Power granted by the Market, their might could no longer be judged by rank alone.

With the supreme piercing and perceptive power of the Dual Pupils, even the raging storm of energy seemed like nothing—he could easily see through to everything hidden inside.

The Crescent Moon Matriarch’s bronze rune arrow was strong, but not overwhelmingly so. Compared to an ordinary seventh-tier combatant, her attack was only moderate.

Logically, with two Golden Sanctum Oddities and her own perfect mastery of dark law, the power should have been much higher.

    Yet Song Chi wasn’t surprised.

From the moment the Market’s projection appeared, he’d seen through some of the Crescent Moon Matriarch’s secrets. This high elf—who’d apparently used some unique secret art to step into the dominion class—was only as strong as the Dominion Power the Market had once granted at its fourth tier. Among dominions, she was one of the weakest.

The good news: overhead, the God of the Hunt had indeed been gravely injured. Caught off guard while deep in slumber, the Matriarch’s arrow had blasted a horrifying bloody hole into the giant’s forehead.

But that sudden blow awoke the bloody giant from his sleep. The swirling blood energy around him started to boil and spill out. The four strange vertical eyes in his head twitched, as if about to snap fully open at any second.

    “Now’s our chance!”

With a low shout, Song Chi triggered an eruption of endless thunder in front of the purple misted mech giant.

    Boom! Boom! Boom!

Arcs of violet lightning, carrying judgement from on high, crashed down and surged directly at the massive red giant.

That was the moment the God of the Hunt finally opened all four of his eerie, vertical pupils.

Caught completely off guard, Song Chi—safely ensconced within the mythic mech of the Heavenly Ruin far away in the Omniverse Market—abruptly snapped his eyes shut.

He’d accidentally met the god’s gaze for the briefest instant. Even though he quickly looked away, a stabbing pain radiated from his pupils.

But it was a critical moment in battle. Song Chi knew he couldn’t lose control over the fight. So, forcing himself, he pried his aching eyes open.

When he looked again, he saw his Dual Pupils were laced with a spiderweb of bloodshot veins.

But he didn’t have time to worry about it.

In fact, he silently felt a bit lucky. If not for the Vermilion Blood Pact giving him the Dual Pupils, a glimpse like that would have left his ordinary eyes blind for months.

Within the Divine Realm, the blood-red giant—although startled awake early—couldn’t stop the incoming storm. The Ninefold Violet Heaven World-Ending Calamity Thunder thundered down. He had only enough time to summon a ring of bloody energy to shield himself before the devastating lightning struck precisely into the gory hole made by the Matriarch’s arrow.

It had to be said—the God of the Hunt’s defenses were terrifying. That thin layer of bloody light looked fragile, but it managed to block four rounds of the Heaven-Calamity Thunder.

This was Dominion Power-boosted, Star-Annihilator-transformed, unleashed at full strength—its destructive power was beyond imagination.

It wasn’t until the fifth bolt struck that the bloody shield was completely worn away and the full force of the lightning exploded into the bloody pit on the giant’s head.

With every thunderbolt that descended, the God of the Hunt howled in world-shaking agony.

After five strikes, almost half of the giant’s head was torn away.

But it wasn’t over yet. When the last bolt of thunder fell, the singularity woven from 30,000 units of Black Hole Energy detonated in turn.

    Vroo—voom—vzzt!

A micro black hole snapped into existence. All the blood-colored energy and silver godly blood nearby was sucked in and squeezed at terrific speed, before being swallowed entirely by the rapidly expanding zone of collapsed space.

The black hole’s center had formed dangerously close to what was left of the God of the Hunt’s head. The eruption nearly reduced the remaining half to nothing but pulp.

But as a veteran evil god of the Gods’ Continent, how could he be without powerful artifacts?

The two surviving vertical pupils flashed, releasing beams—one golden, one black.

A black gemstone crown, rimmed with shadowy power, hovered above his head. Its imposing might enveloped his body, banishing the black hole’s destructive force completely.

The golden Hunting Spear, meanwhile, stayed clenched in his fist, ready to strike at the Market projection and Crescent Moon Matriarch at any moment.

Song Chi, inside his Mythical Mech, narrowed his eyes.

“This won’t do. All this commotion is bound to draw attention beyond the Hunt’s Divine Realm. The Spider Matriarch will be here soon…”

The thought of an eighth-tier principal god arriving made even Song Chi uneasy.

If that really happened, he’d have to bail immediately. As a projection, he could just cancel his link. An eighth-tier wouldn’t cross the Void Sea Shadow Side to the Omniverse Market just to chase him.

But the Crescent Moon Matriarch was here in person. She’d have to pay dearly to escape unscathed.

With this in mind, inside the mythic mech on the Market Heavens…

Song Chi’s attention snapped to the Celestial Godslayer Cannon—the shining silver main artillery.

He didn’t hesitate. In the next moment, he pulled out a newly refined Dominion Soul and powered up the silver main cannon to level 70.

Once at level 70, he activated the cannon’s attack trait: “Celestial Godslayer.”

He wasn’t powering up this family-provided silver cannon because its base stats outmatched the Taiyi Quantum Swordlight Battery, but because the ‘Celestial Godslayer’ trait was made specifically to cut down faith-based gods like their current target.

Now at seventh tier, this mode amplified the main cannon’s power fiftyfold. Factor in battleship core boosters and the Heart-Linked Pendants’ extra firepower… this attack would deal mind-numbing damage to any god fueled by faith.

In the bloody Divine Realm, a ripple surged through the black gemstone crown floating above the giant’s head. For a split second, its black light faltered—a sign the God of the Hunt’s wounds were disrupting his energy flow.

Though he recovered in an instant and forced his power back under control, Song Chi reacted even faster. With his Dual Pupils’ supreme perception, he caught the millisecond before the crown rebounded—then triggered the Zen Seal · Internal · Time Acceleration, instantly charging the Godslayer Cannon.

As the black crown’s eternal darkness shuddered still, a beam of divine-smiting destruction erupted simultaneously.

The god-killing ray tore straight through the swirling blood mist, reaching the giant’s skull before he could react.

The annihilation beam unleashed a wave of devastation. The blood-red godforce, built from faith, screeched and sputtered as it met its nemesis—dissolving instantly before even coming close.

Sensing an overwhelming threat to his very existence, the God of the Hunt fired back with everything he had. Twin torrents of bloody mystical power pooled in his last two eyes and lashed out as crimson beams.

But then, shock and terror glinted in his wide, furious gaze.

For as his beams collided with the godslaying ray, two countercurrents of mysterious force erupted from within the attack.

One was mighty Space, the other pure Light.

They clashed in a blur. Though space and light laws were thoroughly suppressed, they’d already bought just enough time for the godslayer ray to reach its target.

But just before it pierced the god’s skull, a subtle flicker slipped into his body ahead of the blast.

The next moment, the God of the Hunt’s body started shrinking and the blood-red divine power spilling from him was weakened by more than thirty percent.

That was the power of the Superbody Compression Plate’s ‘superbody compression’ trait and Song Chi had triggered it at the same time.

The god’s strength was suppressed, and with his black crown briefly stalled, the godslayer beam struck the last remaining half of his head dead-on.

    “ⅤⅢ{})×%(No—!”

A stream of lunatic babble poured from the giant’s bloody maw. Song Chi understood the meaning behind his words this time, but he knew it would be their last exchange.

The blood mist dissipated and the Divine Realm collapsed.

As the godslayer beam obliterated the rest of the giant’s head, the century-old evil god—a fire of faith burning for over one hundred thousand years—finally fell.

But the sight didn’t faze Song Chi. All he could feel was excitement; with the God of the Hunt gone, treasures lay before him in every direction.

The fallen god’s body, the golden spear in his hand, the black gemstone crown hovering overhead—plus the countless riches hoarded in the Hunt’s Divine Realm over eons—were prizes too tempting to resist.

Feeling his projection time running short, Song Chi had only one thing on his mind: grab as much as he could before getting pulled out.

He turned to the Crescent Moon Matriarch and calmly spoke from within the purple mist projection.

“As planned, I’ll take the god’s body. The separated divinity and godhood will be delivered to you via the Market later…”

The Matriarch gave a gentle nod, raising no objection.

Not only had they agreed to this beforehand, but after witnessing the terrifying strength of the Market’s projection firsthand, she wouldn’t even think of resisting.

What she really wondered was—how would Song Chi, the mysterious Master of the Omniverse Market, actually transport a god’s body over ten thousand kilometers tall?

Moving a body so massive by means of a star-crossing projection—surely harder than descending directly.

Song Chi could guess what she was thinking, but he wasn’t about to explain. For now, every second counted.

Purple mist churned, and a beam shot from the mythic mech projection. Under the Matriarch’s gaze, it burrowed into the god’s rapidly falling corpse overhead.

Suddenly, the Matriarch’s clear eyes went wide with shock.

The god’s gigantic corpse began shrinking at impossible speed.

    9000 kilometers.

    5000 kilometers.

    1000 kilometers.

In moments, the corpse had shrunk by over a thousandfold, down to less than ten kilometers tall—and it still wasn’t done. Only when it hit five kilometers did it finally stop.

Song Chi wasn’t fazed by the Matriarch’s astonishment. In fact, his own expression soured.

“The Superbody Compression Plate is supposed to shrink things 9000 times, but it only compressed the body about 2000 times…”

He knew it was because the Heavenly Ruin was only fifth-tier. Even though the part was upgraded to seventh tier, it could never activate its full effect on a real seventh-tier being.

    “Five kilometers… still not enough!”

Focusing, Song Chi triggered the Isometric Shrink Module. Because of the current settings, and that the corpse had already been compressed, this only shrank it another five times.

    “One kilometer—this’ll do!”

Within the Heavenly Ruin, Song Chi took out a long-stored, high-grade void beast hide. Using the Market’s projection, the hide was sent into the Divine Realm.

The end result: the one-kilometer-high god’s corpse was drawn entirely into the shadowy pocket space inside the beast hide.

That void beast hide, obtained from an Imperial Ruin Source Stone, held an immense inner world. Since Song Chi had the Heavenly Ruin, he’d never used it—this was its first time being put to work.

But this one use alone was sure to net him immense gains.

With the god’s body secure, Song Chi wasted no time; his sights snapped to the black gemstone crown still floating in the heavens.

His mythic mech’s projection reached out, conjuring a massive phantom hand from surging space law that snatched at the crown.

That was Song Chi’s own creation—the Sky Shaman Grand Hand Seal!
