Chapter Index

Just as he expected, after the Omniverse Market opened its trading session this time, the Fourth-Tier Night Elf from the Crescent Moon Tribe rushed in at the fastest speed.

Once it left the inn, the Night Elf made a beeline straight for the shop that traded in Oddities.

The moment it spotted the Eternal Night Gemstone sitting beneath the Origin Materia Stone, a deep joy flashed across its eyes.

That Eternal Night Gemstone was something Song Chi had personally obtained from the Eternal Night Crown. Both sides were well aware of this, so under the Crescent Moon Matriarch’s instructions, the Night Elf made no effort to hide its intentions.

With its gaze finally drifting away from the Eternal Night Gemstone, it bowed and asked politely,

“Master of the Omniverse Market, by order of the Matriarch, may I ask when the God of the Hunt’s godhood and divine power will be ready for the exchange?”

High above, in a sealed space deliberately hidden by Dominion Power, Song Chi pondered for a moment before sending back a simple reply:

“No more than half a year!”

    “Understood. Thank you, sir!”

With that, the Fourth-Tier Night Elf turned without hesitation, ready to report everything back to the Matriarch on the Gods’ Continent.

Just then, a fresh line of law-script scrolled across the projection screen in the center of the shop.

“Is the Eternal Night Crown in your Matriarch’s possession?”

Seeing these words, the Night Elf wasn’t surprised—it nodded quickly.

    “Yes, sir!”

Clearly, the Crescent Moon Matriarch had anticipated everything and given instructions in advance.

Which made sense—after all, it was impossible to hide something like this.

As long as the broken Eternal Night Crown was in her hands, they’d have no way to avoid trading for the Eternal Night Gemstone. Instead of secrecy, they might as well be upfront about their intentions.

Inside the closed space, Song Chi’s eyes sparkled, but he chose not to press them further.

    ……

Gods’ Continent. The Great Night Forest in the southern regions of the Floating-land.

    Crescent Moon Tribe, Elven Temple.

“So, the Master of the Omniverse Market wasn’t affected at all by Spider Matriarch Rose’s Curse of Chaos?”

Upon hearing the Night Elf’s account, the Crescent Moon Matriarch, seated in the center of the temple, finally spoke, her voice soft and distant.

If one looked closely, a strong flash of astonishment flickered deep within her crystalline eyes.

    But she quickly composed herself.

“If that’s the truth, then the Master of the Omniverse Market may be far stronger than we’ve ever guessed.”

An Elder, a Sixth-Tier Night Elf, stood by the Matriarch’s side, expression grave.

Her words clearly met with approval from several other Elders.

“That’s right. Until now we only thought the other party was a Peak Seventh-Tier cultivator, but now it seems there’s a decent chance the real body is already at Eighth-Tier—the same league as the Moon Goddess, a truly formidable being.”

“That would also explain how they could escape completely unscathed from Spider Matriarch’s hands with nothing but a projection.”

    ……

Just as the Elders were murmuring among themselves, the Crescent Moon Matriarch’s voice cut through in a steady tone:

“That’s enough. No matter how strong the Master of the Omniverse Market is, there’s only one thing that matters: what can we offer as bargaining chips to get that Eternal Night Gemstone back from them?”

“Our tribal vaults have a few ordinary divine artifacts, but the value is nowhere near that of the Eternal Night Gemstone. They’re well aware it’s a component of a Godking Weapon, so I doubt they’ll part with it easily.”

“How about offering that vial of Seventh-Tier Moon Spring?”

The suggestion had barely left the speaker’s lips before it was met with emphatic opposition from a chorus of Night Elf Elders.

“Absolutely not! The Seventh-Tier Moon Spring is the key to the Matriarch succession ritual! The fate and honor of the entire Crescent Moon Tribe rests on it—we can never risk trading it away.”

    “Agreed. No way!”

    ……

Seeing that no one agreed, another Elder tentatively spoke up:

“How about asking the Moon Goddess for advice, Matriarch? With just what we have, trading for the Eternal Night Gemstone is nearly impossible.”

For once, no one voiced any objections in the temple.

In the Elders’ view, even if they could get the Eternal Night Gemstone back, it was destined to be presented to the Moon Goddess anyway. Their tribe simply couldn’t hold on to a Godking weapon component themselves.

Since all the Elders tacitly agreed, the Matriarch didn’t object, but nor did she take action right away. She simply said,

“We’ll discuss it later. After that bout with Spider Matriarch, the Moon Goddess has cut off contact with me for the moment. It’ll be some time before we can reach her again.”

    ……

Back in the Omniverse Market. As time slipped by and the Fourth-Tier Night Elf never returned, Song Chi quickly realized there’d be no more progress in the current trading session.

He wasn’t bothered in the least, simply focusing all his efforts on refining the God of the Hunt’s divine body in front of him.

After all, the goods were in his hands—the other party should be the anxious one, not him.

Time continued to pass, and in what seemed like the blink of an eye, two months had gone by.

On this day, the sealed space above the market dissolved completely, and the Heavenly Ruin battleship shimmered into view above. Yet the body of the God of the Hunt was nowhere to be seen.

Inside the command center, Song Chi gripped a storage capsule, stuffed with everything he’d gained over the past two months.

With relentless focus, he’d completely refined the God of the Hunt’s body during this time.

His final spoils included twenty-eight Dominion Souls, a peak seventh-tier godhood, a large reserve of seventh-tier divine blood, a peak-tier divine essence, and a drop of peak seventh-tier Evil God Blood.

On top of that, there was also a gleaming silver spatial Oddity.

No question—this was a haul for the ages. Just the twenty-eight Dominion Souls were already a treasure beyond measure for Song Chi.

He understood better than anyone just how scarce Dominion Souls were these days. With these in hand, he’d be set for a long while.

There was also that drop of peak seventh-tier Evil God Blood, containing every last ounce of the God of the Hunt’s divine blood essence. It could easily serve as source blood, instantly boosting a Star-Annihilator-class Ship’s advancement chances by more than ten percent.

But that wasn’t even its most valuable use—and what Torch Captain would be foolish enough to use Evil God Blood as mere source blood?

After all, you can extract Dominion-level source blood from ninety-nine percent of Dominion corpses, but Evil God Blood? Only deities with star-worship faith can provide that.

Its real worth lies in being a supplementary advancement resource—something entirely different from source blood, but which can be used together for spectacular results.

Song Chi’s immediate thought for this drop of Evil God Blood was the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang.

He’d heard the news: the Dominion corpse taken from the Three-Eyed Clan’s flagship had recently finished being refined.

That meant his ancestor Song Wujian now held a drop of seventh-tier Dominion source blood too—which, when paired with this Evil God Blood, could push the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang’s breakthrough chance up by more than twenty percent.

Throw in the special family resource formula the entire clan worked so hard to gather and that brings the total chance to well over thirty percent—not to mention Song Wujian’s mastery of the Law of Space and a sixth-tier Timeworld Fruit.

It was easy to imagine that the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang’s chances of advancement were now nothing short of astonishing.

As for saving it for the Heavenly Ruin—Song Chi barely entertained the thought before dismissing it.

The Heavenly Ruin still had a long road to becoming a Star-Annihilator-class Ship. Maybe not even the next thousand years would be enough.

Given all that time, Song Chi was sure he’d be able to acquire more Evil God Blood, maybe even of an even higher tier.

So, putting the blood to use for the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang was by far the best decision.

And as long as his ancestor succeeded in advancing, the Song Family’s status would skyrocket. As a core member himself, Song Chi would ride the wave.

Beyond those, the most precious item was the peak seventh-tier Evil God Essence. Song Chi had used quite a bit of this before—it was excellent for dramatically increasing mental strength.

But for now, he didn’t dare to use it, not when it came from a peak-tier Evil God and his own mind was merely fifth-tier. He worried about handling the backlash.

“I’ll wait to absorb it after I’ve advanced my Guiding Technique to six-tier. Doing it now would be too risky.”

After safely storing away his personal favorites, only the mass of divine power and the godhood were left. Both would serve a Starsea faith lord well, but they weren’t of much use to Song Chi.

    Swish!

Suddenly, the sound of something flying broke the stillness as the miniature Coldmoon Snow Python landed on Song Chi’s shoulder.

Back on the Sacred Dragon Continent, this little guy had absorbed a huge amount of faith power, breaking through to fifth tier in one go. Now it’d been stuck as a fifth-tier for quite a while.

Seeing it stare unblinkingly at the swirling ball of divine power, Song Chi raised his brow.

The God of the Hunt’s divine energy clearly held a huge attraction for the little creature.

He only hesitated a moment before dividing off a tenth of the divine power and tossing it to the Coldmoon Snow Python.

Exactly how much divine power he’d extracted from the God of the Hunt’s body was something only he knew, and sparing a tenth meant nothing to him.

What he really cared about was whether the Coldmoon Snow Python would evolve after digesting such high-quality divine energy—maybe even leap straight to sixth tier.

That sort of change wouldn’t be quick though. For a fifth-tier beast to forcefully absorb faith energy a whole level higher, it would take time—he’d just have to let it adapt slowly.

With those things done, the only thing left was the silver-grade spatial Oddity.

This artifact was similar to his ship’s secret realm; it also contained a sealed space, stretching over a hundred miles.

But unlike the void beast leather’s dead zone, this so-called Dimensional Spatial Stone was like a secret realm but supported life like a normal world—except it lacked the resource generation and energy acceleration of a true secret realm.

In other words, it was basically the God of the Hunt’s private treasury.

He’d only given it a cursory glance before, but now—finally done with everything else—Song Chi’s face lit up with anticipation as he shifted his focus back to it.

After all, this was the personal stash of a peak seventh-tier Evil God. There might not be as much loot as in its divine treasury, but the quality should be outstanding.

For a fifth-tier Torch Captain like Song Chi, the temptation was enormous.

Heart pounding with both hope and anxiety, Song Chi began to tally up the contents of the Dimensional Spatial Stone.

    Silver Oddity: Grey Elf Scepter.

One hundred eighty wisps of Seventh‑Tier Floating-land Origin.

Ten wisps of eighth-tier Floating-Land Origin.

    Silver Oddity: Archmage’s Robes.

    ……

One treasure after another flickered past his eyes in this process—it took him nearly an hour to check everything.

At last, Song Chi was done cataloging everything inside the Dimensional Spatial Stone.

He’d counted 124 Starsea Oddities in total—one Golden Sanctum Domain Component, eighteen Silver Legendary Oddities, a hundred and five Red Epic Oddities.

There were also various Floating-Land Origins: ten eighth-tiers, a hundred eighty seventh-tiers, and more than a hundred thousand sixth-tiers.

As for special materials: eleven Dominion Souls and a wisp of Primal Chaos Qi.

Eyes narrowing, a laugh danced in Song Chi’s gaze.

Even if it didn’t compare to the Doomstar Race’s horde, for Song Chi, this was still a sensational windfall.

Including the eleven Dominion Souls from the Dimensional Spatial Stone, he now had forty in hand—a considerable sum by any measure.

And although there were only just over a hundred Oddities, their minimum grade was Red Epic—every one of them was exceptionally valuable.

What a shame, the only Golden Sanctum Oddity here turned out to be a specialized Law Crystal of the blood attribute—completely useless to him.

As for the ten wisps of eighth-tier Floating-Land Origin, Song Chi stored them away carefully—they’d be key to boosting the Heavenly Ruin’s components to eighth-tier when it advanced to Star-Annihilator-class.

But if there was a regret, it was that there was no Titanite Crystal among all these treasures.

Now that he’d gotten so many Dominion Souls, Song Chi would have to seriously fortify his battleship—but with little Titanite Crystal left, he was at a disadvantage.

He’d gotten thirty thousand pieces from the Pan Family, and later swapped for another twenty-five thousand at Star Tower Mall, but so much had been spent on upgrading components that the remaining stash wasn’t enough for widespread enhancement to seventh-tier.

“I’ll have to swing by the Dragon-Spine Continent, then. Just as well—I can hand both the fresh Evil God Blood and that wisp of Primal Chaos Qi to the Ancestor.”

After summoning back the Heavenly Ruin, Song Chi stopped briefly at Taibai Trading Co. When he found no Blood Crystal in stock, he didn’t linger, leaving a Voidform Avatar behind and traveling straight back to the distant Dragon-Spine Continent via the market.

    Azure Moon Estate, private garden.

Song Chi opened the door but didn’t head directly for Dragon Spine Sacred Mountain. Instead, he pulled out the Yaoguang Star Order again.

While contacting Tianlong to return the Radiation Barrier component, he also posted the Law Crystal’s blood attribute to the group chat.

“Jingzhe” (Order #32): “Anyone interested, just DM me.”

After all that, Song Chi chatted with his parents for a bit, then summoned his ship and headed toward Dragon Spine Sacred Mountain.
