Chapter 594: Division of Spoils and Looming Crisis in the Chipan Galaxy
by xennovelFor now, the only component that truly caught Song Chi’s interest was the Flame Spirit Terracotta Tree.
It could summon Flame Spirit terracotta soldiers, a unique type of unit, and its upgrade ceiling far outstripped the two terracotta tree components currently on the Heavenly Ruin.
As for the last item, the Death Calamity Star Spirit Stone, that one was a rare flash-displacement component.
Oddity: Death Calamity Star Spirit Stone
Grade: Gold
Convertible Into: Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman
Note: A special photonic-displacement oddity created from a rare mineral.

……
This last component was an exceptionally rare flash-displacement part. While not the most extreme among spatial displacement modules, as it belonged to the light attribute branch, it was still incredibly valuable.
Never mind that its flash range outclassed the Space-skipping Pearl many times over—what Song Chi truly valued was its last trait, Starlight Flash Spirit Shift. It could completely ignore spatial, temporal and every sort of controlling effect. That alone made it invaluable.
Just to give an example, if the Heavenly Ruin had carried this component earlier, there would’ve been no need to activate the Timepiece Chessboard—he could’ve broken free of the Eight-Armed Serpent Demon’s Serpent Prison instantly.
So Song Chi didn’t hesitate to claim the Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman.
Afterward, Song Chi said nothing else—after all, he’d already taken one out of the five rare parts. But not everyone in the clan group chat shared his restraint.
“Shiyuan: Xiaochi, isn’t your flagship still using two red-grade terracotta components? We only tracked down the remains of the Doomstar Race thanks to your work this time. You should keep the Flame Spirit Terracotta Tree too.”
“Song Yan: Makes perfect sense!”
“Song Xingru: I agree!”
……
In the end, Song Chi secured both the Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman and the Flame Spirit Terracotta Tree. That wasn’t all—he also received 20 out of the 50 Dominion Souls on offer, with the remaining 30 split between Song Wujian and Song Yan, each taking 10. The last 10 went to Shiyuan, Xingru and Song Shixing, who was stationed at Dragon-Spine Continent.
Song Chi also took ten strands of Eighth-Tier Floating-land Origin, a thousand strands of Seventh‑Tier Floating-land Origin, and fifty thousand Titanite Crystals.
The remaining Starlight Particle Energy Shield was brought straight back to Dragon-Spine Continent for Song Shixing.
And of course, they returned with the Time Tower oddity too.
What really caught Song Chi’s attention was his elder brother Song Yan’s request, right after taking the Titan Heart Core Engine, for the two most inconspicuous pieces of Black Hole Core wreckage.
That suddenly made Song Chi’s heart skip a beat.
If memory served, the Scorching Sea Blazer carried the Black Hole Armor, which was now at the peak black-grade level. If Song Chi’s guess was right, then just like with the Neutron-Star Core Armor, these two Black Hole Core pieces were meant to be absorbed and fused into the Black Hole Armor. He knew exactly what that implied.
Instead of jumping to conclusions, Song Chi asked directly:
“Big bro, are the two pieces of Black Hole Core meant for the Black Hole Armor to absorb?”
Song Yan looked a little surprised. Then, glancing at the Neutron-Star Core Armor installed on the Heavenly Ruin, he nodded lightly without much thought.
“Just as I thought!”
Song Chi clenched his fists, feeling a spark of excitement ignite inside.
If he was right, that meant the Black Hole Armor was on its way to evolving to the mythical colored grade. Once the required number of Black Hole Core pieces were gathered, it would upgrade from supreme black-grade to the legendary colored mythic level.
That realization got Song Chi thinking about the Neutron-Star Core Armor too. In the age of the multiverse, neutron stars were on par with black holes as ultimate celestial bodies. If Black Hole Armor could make that leap to mythic colored grade, did that mean Neutron-Star Core Armor had the same potential?
After the excitement wore off, Song Chi calmed himself and turned his gaze to the ten Death Calamity Cores.
These resources could directly increase one’s mastery over the Law of Light, and at present, Song Chi was the only one who could use them.
In the ship’s control room, he used 22 Dominion Souls to upgrade both the Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman and the Flame Spirit Terracotta Tree components to level 80.
With both parts’ attributes soaring, Song Chi stared at the ten Death Calamity Cores he still had left.
Space, time, and light—these three laws were key to advancing to Star-Annihilator class, and Song Chi had long made them his top priority.
But the Death Calamity Core directly improved Law of Light comprehension, not efficiency. Law Crystals, Dao Comprehension Mat (Imitation), Market Origin Law Manifestations, Dragon Whale Hall, Starry Sky Throne and the like couldn’t help here, so he didn’t waste time and used the first Death Calamity Core right there in the control room.
Half a month later the effects of that first Death Calamity Core finally ended. Song Chi quickly evaluated how much his Law of Light comprehension had increased.
His eyes immediately brightened.
Just with one Death Calamity Core, his Law of Light comprehension jumped from 81% to 83.2%.
A surge of 2.2%.
After the initial thrill faded, Song Chi steadied himself. He knew that was just because it was his first time using the core. The effects would diminish each time from now on.
Still, the result was good. Once he’d used all ten Death Calamity Cores, his Law of Light finally broke through the 90% mark, reaching 90.02%.
While that wouldn’t yet boost his success chance for Star-Annihilator advancement, he reminded himself that the Heavenly Ruin had only become a Dreadnought a few decades ago. It would still be several hundred, or even a thousand years before the next breakthrough was possible.
With so many years ahead, he was confident he could keep improving his Law of Light comprehension even more.
In fact, Song Chi wanted to push comprehension of space and time past 90% too, if possible—not just light.
No matter how difficult, if it meant bettering his odds of reaching Star-Annihilator class, he’d never back down.
Star-Annihilator-class Captains could easily live out a hundred thousand years among the Sea of Stars—a truly epic existence. Only by reaching that rank could a Torch Captain say he’d solidified his footing in the Torch Human Civilization.
Only as a Star-Annihilator Captain would he fully control the Omniverse Market.
Song Chi had a gut feeling: once he achieved that breakthrough, no matter what secrets the Omniverse Market held, he’d have the courage to stand up to any prying eyes. When that day arrived, the Market would be firmly in his grasp, and no one could take it from him.
……
Time flew by. Five years passed in a blink.
In the southwest of the Chipan Galaxy, a massive fleet nearly thirty million strong cruised through the starry sky—the combined forces of the Song and Luo Clans.
During those five years, the alliance took down two tier-six life-floating-lands, three tier-six resource-floating-lands, and dozens of tier-five and below floating-lands, plundering inexhaustible resources.
All loot was distributed by ratio: Song Family 6.25, Luo Clan 3.5, and all subordinate fleets together got just 0.25. With the Song Family’s might, no one objected.
In those five years, the Song Clan showcased one Star-Annihilator-class Ship, one Dominion Flagship and a half-step Dominion Void Demon. That was power no one dared challenge.
With all those aces on their side, the alliance swept the southwest Chipan region without ever facing real resistance.
Joint Fleet Communication Chat
Since the Luo Clan joined, the fleet’s command chat had swelled to over eight hundred, each at least at the fourth-tier Zhulu-class Captain level.
Right now, they were deep in discussion about the next phase of operations.
“Song Wujian: We’ve had reports from the other sides—about a month and ten days ago, the Yaohan Liu Family fleet and the Beiqiong Shen Family fleet each defeated an Eight-Armed Serpent Demon Lord. So by now, there should only be five left at the seventh tier in the Chipan Galaxy.”
“Luo Yi: Five seventh-tier Serpent Demon Lords means the odds of them forming a big resistance force are basically gone in the Chipan Galaxy. That’s good news for us.”
“Luo Yi: Since we’ve confirmed the situation, shouldn’t we revive the plan we talked about earlier?”
Luo Yi, the newly minted Star-Annihilator-class Captain of the Chigu Luo Clan, held immense sway as one of only two Star-Annihilator commanders in the fleet.
With him pushing that action plan again, the chat began to buzz with debate.
“Shiyuan: Lord Luo Yi, last time we agreed to wait five years, since the floating-land in question is only just a tier-seven, and must have a seventh-tier Dominion inside. Isn’t acting now a bit hasty?”
“Luo Yun: Shiyuan, you make a good point, but don’t forget, there are only four seventh-tier life-floating-lands here. If the Yaohan Kingdom and its allies beat us to one, they might turn toward ours next. Better to move first and put our minds at ease.”
For a while, the Song and Luo clans found themselves split into two camps.
To the Song Clan, there were still at least five Dominion Snake Demon Lords, plus the protection of the Seventh‑Tier Floating-land’s will. If they got ambushed, even with the Starry Sky Dragon Shark and three Dominator Worms, it would still be incredibly risky.
As for the Market Projection Token, with the Heavenly Ruin still not a Star-Annihilator-class Ship, Song Chi preferred to avoid revealing that card unless absolutely necessary.
They’d rather hold out until the enemy’s numbers dropped to three or fewer—then they’d be invincible.
The Luo Clan meanwhile was clearly more aggressive.
Just as the debate heated up, Song Wujian received a transmission.
Torch Network—Chipan Galaxy Wide-Area Network
The Torch Fleet had been in the Chipan Galaxy for over five years, plenty of time to set up the core of the Torch Network.
The message in question came through a special galactic local net only Star-Annihilator Captains could access, sent by one of the kingdom inspectors.
“Morningstar Family fleet has been ambushed by an Eight-Armed Serpent Demon horde led by two Dominion Lords. Request immediate reinforcements from the Song fleet!”
The unexpected call for help instantly derailed the alliance’s debate.
“Morningstar Royal Clan fleet under attack?”
In the fleet command chat, over eight hundred Zhulu-class Captains were all startled at first—then their expressions turned complicated.
Most displayed only faint indifference.
After all, the Morningstar Family’s relationship with theirs was always lukewarm at best.
The Song Clan’s Zhulu-class Captains, in particular, looked unconcerned.
In the end, Song Wujian spoke up:
“Alright. Of course we’ll send help—if we dragged our feet, the Torch Judgement Court would have our heads.”
He paused a moment.
“That said, with how urgent this is, I suggest we dispatch a crack task force. Luo Yi, any thoughts…?”
The two Star-Annihilator-class Captains glanced at each other. A moment later, both nodded.
Luo Yi answered at once:
“Our Luo Clan mostly holds influence in the Goldenplate Galaxy, not with the Morningstar Kingdom. Besides, the main fleet needs its Star-Annihilator Captain on hand. So the Luo clan will sit this one out.”
With that, the Luo Clan neatly removed itself from responsibility. The task force ended up composed solely of Song Family warriors—twenty elite warships in all.
As for whether any accidents might befall them on the road… well, that was simply fate. If the reinforcement was somehow delayed by ‘unforeseeable’ circumstances, no one could complain.
And this wasn’t some ragtag force—it boasted a Star-Annihilator-class Ship, three Dreadnoughts, and multiple Battleships. No outsider could accuse the Song Clan of slacking or insincerity.
Of course, the team didn’t include the Heavenly Ruin. The Song main fleet was staying with the alliance, so there was no way they’d leave all their defenses with the Luo Clan.
Right then, the Heavenly Ruin held two Dominator Worms and a Market Projection Token. Whatever happened, Song Chi could guarantee the safety of his family’s fleet.
In no time, all twenty-three support ships sped away, vanishing from the fleet’s sensors.
