Book – Chapter 649: Thank You (Update 2)

Bremen Security Bureau Branch: It’s a madhouse!

Power outages can happen in any country. – Lin

But when have you ever seen a power cut in key government agencies?

Meanwhile, both the internal phones and radios went dead.

A thought that could well have been shared by everyone emerged.

    Intrusion!

Countless armed guards raced through the bureau, beginning a full-scale search.

Inside the bureau, Special Forces personnel charged into every critical area like mad dogs.

The independent emergency power system was activated.

Piercing alarms echoed throughout the entire building.

But they suddenly discovered that all surveillance inside the building had been shut down.

The surveillance system, the main computer – all had been infected, deliberately sabotaged.

The architect of it all, Xiao Yu, strolled casually through the bureau.

When he reached the eighth floor and entered a corridor,

suddenly a large door swung open and three armed guards charged out.

    Meeting face-to-face, Xiao Yu smirked.

The three guards reacted instantly, raising their weapons.

Yet before they could issue a warning or disengage the safeties,

within five meters, Xiao Yu closed the distance in an instant.

    Crack!

Xiao Yu’s blade smashed into a guard’s throat.

    Boom!

His shoe kicked hard into the temple of a guard.

Then, with a twist of his leg between his thigh and calf, he ensnared the last guard by the neck.

    Crack!

Defying natural human mechanics, his bizarre and brutal assault was complete.

    Smack!

In the moment he hit the ground, Xiao Yu slapped the floor with his palm and gracefully rebounded to his feet.

Calmly, he watched as the three guards collapsed before him.

    Execution complete!

He quickly scanned the weapons on the guards’ bodies.

Unhurriedly, Xiao Yu stripped one guard of his uniform and donned it himself.

He then picked up a Compact Cannon, a self-defense pistol, along with several magazines…

Once ready, Xiao Yu took out a makeup kit.

Three minutes later, his appearance changed—he now looked like a White man, mimicking a fallen guard.

    Skill: Disguise Expert!

“It’s time to showcase some real skills,” he murmured.

Xiao Yu smiled silently and dragged a corpse through that door…

    ……

At the branch of the Security Bureau, Director Foscher, 42 years old,

had held the position for a solid ten years.

Since joining the bureau at twenty-two, he had not only captured countless foreign spies and agents but also repeatedly cracked major cases in Bremen.

Stepping out of his vehicle and staring at the Security Bureau building, his sharp, sword-like eyebrows arched fiercely.

Within his deep-set eyes, a rare pair of blue eyes sparkled with intelligence and a cold, ruthless gleam.

    Anyone who saw him

could spot his calmness, strength, acumen, and carefree nature all at once.

In Bremen, Foscher himself was a legend!

“According to the on-site reports, 23 minutes ago the branch was breached, and four guards were killed.”

“We still cannot confirm the number, weapons, or abilities of the intruders…and with the surveillance system compromised, their positions are even more uncertain.”

“But after forensic analysis of the guards’ bodies, it appears the invader was most likely a single individual—highly skilled in assassination, hand-to-hand combat, and computer technology. Suspected to be a professional foreign agent!”

Foscher’s body stiffened as he furrowed his brows, “A foreign agent?”

    Has he lost his mind?

Which nation dares play such games?

This wasn’t just a provocation to Country D’s security agencies—it was an affront to the very dignity of Country D.

Imagine if this agent were captured, his identity confirmed—what consequences would follow?

Even the superpowers wouldn’t dare take such a risk, right?

    Unless… Foscher’s eyes suddenly brightened.

Has there been any major move at the branch recently?

    Seizures? Arrests? Operations?

Countless pieces of information flashed through Foscher’s mind.

    “Could it really be…”

Foscher muttered in confusion, “Just two little mice? Could they really have breached an entire national security agency for them?”

Hearing the sharp wail of the alarms from inside the building, he fell into deep thought once more.

After a long pause, Foscher suddenly looked up, “Let’s go to the Interrogation Room!”

A group of subordinates and guards rallied around him.

Like stars orbiting a moon, they all moved into the Security Bureau building.

The power still had not been restored.

However, all emergency power systems were up and running.

Under Foscher’s lead, a group of over ten people marched straight to the Unknown District.

Throughout this process, everyone moved on foot.

Emergency power doesn’t mean elevators can run—it simply couldn’t support the heavy power load.

They eventually passed through two buildings and arrived at a special structure, climbing to the third floor…

where an ‘Interrogation Room’ stood before them.

Though it’s called an Interrogation Room, you might as well call it a small prison.

Since the branch was established in Bremen, this place had detained countless spies, agents, intelligence operatives, and some of the most nefarious criminals.

However, aside from a few key figures sent to headquarters, hardly anyone ever left here alive.

There was never any chance of an external rescue.

Firstly, the security measures here were top-notch.

Secondly, no one could be transferred without Foscher’s approval once locked up.

Finally, the cells inside were protected by specialized defenses.

For instance, the cell doors automatically changed their codes every half-hour.

The entire detention area could even withstand an air-to-ground missile strike.

Only the most important figures from the Security Bureau were allowed inside these rooms.

Not to mention, even ordinary internal staff couldn’t enter.

So, how do you plan to rescue someone?

One subordinate pressed a code, and the metal door in front of them swung open.

After entering, they passed through several checkpoints and reached a corridor.

Along both sides of the corridor were several specialized cell doors.

    Each door was custom-made.

Inside, some very special prisoners were confined.

Foscher and his team walked down the corridor to two adjacent cell doors.

Foscher reached out and opened both doors himself.

When he saw two young men of Asian descent, their limbs shackled to the walls, he exhaled sharply with relief.

In the blink of an eye, Foscher’s expression turned peculiar again.

Wasn’t the purpose to rescue them?

Then what was the intruder’s motive in breaching the bureau?

    Suddenly.

Foscher’s face froze; he blinked a few times, and his expression gradually became serious.

Everyone present held their breath, silently watching their boss.

In the next moment, they were shocked to see beads of sweat forming on their boss’s forehead.

The sweat was visibly streaming down Foscher’s face.

His expression grew increasingly bizarre, almost incredulous.

He slowly turned his stiff neck to look at every subordinate around him.

One face after another he observed, his expression growing more suspicious and even tinged with terror.

Until his eyes fixed on a young guard.

If memory serves, this guard had gathered with others outside the bureau building?

    Foscher forced a bitter smile.

The guard smiled back, clearly delighted, and even mouthed two words in D-Language.

    “Thank you!”
