Chapter Index

“I’ll handle the negotiations for this—shouldn’t be much trouble!”

If there’s nothing else, I’m heading straight back to the Silverplate Galaxy.

The reason I’m rushing back isn’t just to wrap up the arrangements for a few Vermilion Divine Birds. The Abyssal Devil is also a major factor.

According to what Yun Niang shared, she gave the Abyssal Devil a top-tier resource from the Abyss. Right now, the Abyssal Devil is hidden somewhere on Silverplate Floating-land, desperately absorbing its energy and trying to break through. It’ll need time.

After returning to Silverplate Floating-land, Song Chi relayed everything to Yun Niang. As expected, she agreed without even a moment’s hesitation.

With that, the Song Family had no objections left, and the two sides officially began pairing up their Vermilion Divine Birds. At the same time, they put special effort into nurturing three pairs in particular.

They even used a few rare resources to boost the birds’ chances of breeding, all in hopes these three pairs would produce offspring as soon as possible.

By comparison, Song Chi left all that to the side. He had more pressing matters at hand.

Inside the Omniverse Market, he held a Stage Seven Silver Apple and quickly evolved the Veil of Light to silver quality. Once it hit level 70, he grabbed three Time Fragments along with other resources he’d gathered in recent years and officially started the Omniverse Market’s ascension.

[Are you sure you want to expend: 1000 threads of Sixth-Tier Floating-Land Origin + 20 Time Fragments + 20 Spatial Fragments + 1 thread of Seventh‑Tier Floating-land Origin to upgrade the Market to Tier Seven?]

    “Yes!”

The moment he confirmed, all the resources in front of him dissolved into light and merged into the Omniverse Market under his feet.

A blinding radiance swept through the entire market as the ground began rumbling beneath him.

He checked the Market’s status panel again. Sure enough, a new line of text had appeared.

[Upgrade time required: 10 years. Time remaining: 9 years 364 days 23:59:56]

Seeing this, Song Chi’s expression didn’t change.

Back when the Market advanced from Tier 3 to Tier 4, it took a year. Now, going from Tier 6 to Tier 7 is another major leap. He was ready for this mentally.

Since it wasn’t going to be quick, he didn’t linger and returned straight to the Dragon‑Spine Continent.

While waiting, he never let up on comprehending the Laws.

    Time flowed quietly by.

In the first year, the Abyssal Devil finished refining that top-tier abyssal resource and returned to the Dragon‑Spine Continent, preparing for its attempt at the seventh tier.

By the third year, his elder brother Chongguang brought exciting news—he’d bonded with the Qingqiu Trading Association’s Vermilion Divine Bird, and their bird laid three mystical eggs.

By the fifth year, the Flamewrath Giant finished consolidating its realm and amplifying its Laws, becoming a true seventh-tier giant. Song Chi summoned it back.

In the sixth year, Chongyu and Chongying both paired with their mates, laying one and two mystical eggs respectively.

Good news, certainly, but nobody got carried away. Everyone knew laying eggs was only step one. The real challenge was helping them all hatch—the moment those Divine chicks broke through their shells would be what mattered most.

The Vermilion Divine Bird is legendary for a reason, holding the bloodline of celestial beasts from the Immortal Domain. Breeding their young is anything but easy.

Midway through, Song Chi paid a visit to deliver a portion of Azure Spring Essence to each of the six eggs.

This water-attribute treasure comes from the Silver Oddity, Azure Spirit Spring, which has produced several batches over the centuries.

While Azure Spring Essence works best for wood-attributed roots and spirit plants, it also has life-extending properties and is rich in vitality. It can boost the life force of those eggs, giving the chicks a slightly higher chance of breaking through their shells.

In the ninth year, Song Chi’s comprehension of the Law of Light reached another breakthrough, hitting 95%.

Finally, in the tenth year, the Omniverse Market achieved its long-awaited ascension to Tier Seven.

The second he stepped inside, Song Chi instantly sensed the most dramatic change.

“Tier Nine—the Dominion Power boost jumped from early Tier Eight to early Tier Nine!”

He murmured with his eyes shut, straining to feel the overwhelming strength surging within.

A whole tier higher—the transformation was staggering.

This wasn’t just a jump from Tier One to Tier Two, but from Eight to Nine—the gulf between them was fundamental.

In the Shattered Sea of Stars, every step up high tiers widens the gap even more.

Letting the sensation wash through him, Song Chi eventually pulled himself together.

He knew this power wasn’t truly his. He could borrow it, use it as a trump card in a crisis, but never treat it as his ultimate reliance.

In this endless Sea of Stars, in this golden age where might is everything, only his own strength truly matters.

Besides, he hadn’t forgotten—the Market Projection still had a core flaw. Inside, he wielded Tier Nine’s full might, but projecting it into the outside world would at best give him half a step into Tier Nine. He’d still fall short of a true ninth-tier being.

Reining in his thoughts, Song Chi opened up the Market’s info panel.

He was more curious than ever about how the Market’s stats had changed after rising to Tier Seven.

    [Name: Omniverse Market]

    [Market Owner: Song Chi]

    [Level: lv70]

    [Scale: 20,000km x 20,000km]

    [Core Features: 10,000 shops, 1 booth area (1,000km x 1,000km), a four-story inn, 1 lv69 Full-Attribute Cultivation Chamber (double efficiency with Dark Energy), 1 lv69 Enegma defense array, 1 lv69 Long-Range Random Space Gate Transfer Platform, 1 Sixth-Tier Spirit Synthesis Platform, 1 Sixth-Tier Oddity Essence Refinement Platform, 1 lv0 Omniverse Teleportation Platform]

[Additional Features: Silver Veil of Light lv70, Sixth-Tier Bloodline Baptism Platform (Red), Divine Realm Task Platform (Gold) lv80 (7/28)]

[Trait: Calamity Evasion (move freely through the void, evade natural disasters)]

[Trait 2: Spatial Anchor (set six coordinate anchors anywhere in the Shattered Sea of Stars)]

[Trait 3: Dominion Authority (gain Dominion Power while inside the Market)]

[Trait 4: Mindlink Control (control the Market absolutely, even from outside)]

[Upgrade requirements: 20 threads of Seventh‑Tier Floating-land Origin, Market level maxed at lv71, 1 Dominion Soul]

Staring at the stats, Song Chi felt more than ever that as the Market rose, it was becoming a true Secret Realm in its own right—not just a humble trading post.

Its area alone was already far larger than any broken Sea of Stars secret realm.

His gaze drifted toward the Market’s unique traits.

With this seventh-tier advancement, the Spatial Anchor trait gave him one more anchor, finally easing that constant shortage.

Even more exciting was the new Trait Four: Mindlink Control. With it, Song Chi would be free to act elsewhere but still take charge of the Market even in critical situations.

‘I wonder if I can remotely activate the Market Projection Token while outside…’

Determined to find out, he exited the Market right away. This was too important to ignore.

Soon, he returned, a satisfied smile giving away the results.

With Mindlink Control in play, he could now command the Market’s Tier Nine power even from outside, answering the Market Projection Token’s call. He could manifest the Market’s projection in battle.

Now certain of his new abilities, Song Chi strode up to the Market’s Inn.

Though the inn didn’t gain a fifth floor—which meant no new Market Tokens were spawned—that didn’t mean the place hadn’t changed at all.

Two minutes later, after another visit, Song Chi was grinning even wider.

Sure enough, the second floor now boasted 200 Guest Rooms (up from 60), and the Traveler’s Rooms rose from 40 to 100.

That meant both the Market Token and Market-Walking Token had reached corresponding new totals as well.

Most crucial of all—the Market Projection Tokens had also gotten a boost, doubling from five to ten.

While that wasn’t as dramatic as the changes for the other two tokens, Song Chi was already more than satisfied.

Now, for a long time to come, he’d never have to worry about running out of Market Projection Tokens again.

After checking each floor, Song Chi then upgraded every core facility—Cultivation Chamber, Long-Range Random Space Gate Transfer Platform, and more—to Tier Seven.

The one he was most eager to inspect, though, was the Spirit Synthesis Platform.

After its Tier Seven upgrade, the synthesis rate dropped yet again. Previously, he could produce one thread of Seventh‑Tier Floating-land Origin per month at Tier Six. Now, it would take an entire year to produce a single thread of Eighth-Tier Floating-Land Origin.

Song Chi knew it was only natural—higher-tier Origins were ever rarer and harder to make.

Still, he could live with it. After all, with his coming breakthrough to Tier Seven, his lifespan would explode past a hundred thousand years. Even if he never advanced further, he could still use the Spirit Synthesis Platform to refine a hundred thousand threads of Eighth-Tier Origin. That alone would make him fabulously wealthy.

As for the Oddity Essence Refinement Platform, once it hit Tier Seven, it could now refine even black supreme components.

Finally, Song Chi’s gaze locked onto the Omniverse Teleportation Platform—the last item listed under Core Features.

A brand-new facility. The name alone set his imagination racing. He couldn’t wait to dig into its specific features.
